There is Something Wrong w/ Black Chest, & Why ****+ Through Fusion Is Necessary

Before you look at the picture, the last 2 are a minor % of how many black chests I have actually gotten. I consider myself slightly unluckier than most if you take equivalent ratios of gems:3/4 star armor. My friend, on the other hand, has Gods good grace, (should there be one). Now, I will tell you that I messed up the picture, he has the black K+, I got Black K after 98 1/2 star armors, & not during 3x weekend.

The worst part about it is ALL OF THESE ARMORS ARE TOTALLY WORTHLESS.

3 BK, 1 BK+ which only main knight can wear.
Multiple of every chest only & fuse only ****. Trust me, he can get them all to 70 they're totally worthless if non+. I have FUSED 3 Blackfrost, & gotten one from chest. I put 2 of them around a BK in arena & they get smashed. My friends blackfrost+ 2-shot me. I have 2x 70/70 of them, & I used the other 2 as enhance points, but after 3 legendary+legendary fuse, shouldn't it come out as the + version? Nope, I have to open the DPC & hope it's not another normal version.

Well after seeing my friends luck, I'm never opening more than 1 DPC chest at a time. Thanks Gree, you're saving me $600/month at least!

After reading this all I can think of is "let them have cake!" Or perhaps all hail the "king". (Pun intended) I haven't opened nearly as many chests but certainly have opened well over a hundred and have never gotten anything higher than a two star. A four star non plus may not dominate in the arena but i would be happy with just a three star so i can say the DPC isn't completely a scam. You may not dominate but some of these non plus armors are better than anything that i have. Thank goodness one can still do okay in this game without all the best stuff or else all the rest of us would have to find a different game to play. Some of the exclusive plus armors are starting to imbalance the game and i suspect you will lose player base on both side of the fence if not corrected over time. The haves will be bored because they don't even need to strategize any more to win. The have-nots will get frustrated and quit.

Played plenty. Have even played several that are now defunct for this very reason. Some are better balanced than others. The biggest spenders generally will have an advantage and rightly so but good players can generally get to the top 50 without being the biggest spenders. This balance keeps the games going because you need a certain critical mass fan base. Like in a casino, the "whales" are very few but it is the average gambler that keeps Vegas going. When the gamblers get no hope of winning, they leave. When whales win too often, they leave because it wasn't the money they were looking for but the thrill. In all my games working hard and getting to the top is the thrill but once i get there and it becomes too easy, i get bored. I know not everyone shares this view since clearly we have so many hackers every week.

I know what you mean, & agree to an extent. But I consider myself a whale, & I'm bored of paying $100's of dollars for things that aren't upgrades or cant be used in any way to get upgrades.

maybe allowing the combining of to reg armors for a plus knowing with my luck i will never see ww+ nevermind aegis or black kale i consider myself a hardcore player and even being the sole supporter of myself a wife and 2 kids i manage to spend what i can trying to be as competative as possible i guess in conclusion i feel like if you can fuse for it you should be able to fuse for + version

Congrats hyper. What's your name on Android. By the way the chance of getting the regular starmental is approx 0.01% now. Before the release of all the "new" armors (flamehunters garb, vial, etc) it was 0.0123% so it would be a little lower now. While the chance of getting 3-5 starmental fragments is 3-5% f I remember right. Lazy to check my folder with actual %

Ha well 22 is alot in my book, thats the entire 400 gem lot I had collected since starting the game... I refuse to spend actual "real" money on iPad game.. I feel like with enough time and knowledge you can still get most of the best parts of a game without spending real cash.... I use that money to go out drinking with real people who are not wearing fake armor

Lvl 137 now with 3 70+ maxed and working on 2 more... I just wanted one really cool set of new armor though the x2 event would give that to me.... I was wrong I should have saved my gems for the epic Boss fights.... live and learn I guess

It's all based on luck, so you can't exactly call it a rip off, considering it was never said that it was a 100% chance for you to get a three or four star armor. If they sold the armor directly, that would definitely spoil the balance of the game.

my best suggestion if you want one of the new armors is start fusing for them. Best craftable combination imo is infernal and spectral. I did that and got flamehunters garb. Aside from that try fusing 4* with 4* and hope for good luck

I would love a guild feature that allow players to trade in achievements like MVP/shields for "things". For example, every 20 MVP gives you the ability to upgrade a single armor of choice to plus version for 10M gold and 50 stones.

This is mostly true but need to set good expectations for yourself on the goals of the game. for example, you will probably never get a black medal; getting a super 4 star armor like black K+ is probably impossible; and you will not win the guild wars, etc. As long as you have fun, that is all that matters.

Completely agree with 50 EP armors minimum! I hate getting snake skin all the time!

The problems is that everyone wants the + version so there are ppl that will be disappointed with DPC. There should be a way to make a normal version into a + version in order to make it more fair more everyone, especially heavy gems spenders!

It is possible to create fusion armors that allows you to fuse it with certain normal version armors to make it to a +, even if it requires the normal version to be maxed out at lv 70 and cost much more money and fusion stones. Not something like those random 150 fusion point armors that GREE is giving away for guild contributions now.

These +fusion armors should be rewards from the likes of top arena places, guild wars or even the DPC (replace those <50 EP armors). To make it harder, it could be designed in a way that is specifically aimed at certain armor/elements. And if you combine two of these, you should be able to get a + fusion armor for the combined elements. E.g. a fire +fusion armor and an earth +fusion armor gives you a f/a +fusion armor to make a lv 70 tempered into a + when fuse it with a normal lv70 tempered with, say X fusion stones and cost X million gold. I bet someone might even be willing to pay gems for doing the above to get a + version!

I can add that im very very very tired of getting snakeskins, aa's and hydra's from the dpc. If I wanted those crappy armors I would CRAFT them. Make DPC Uncraftable ONLY at least.

I have opened only one DP chest ever and got snakeskin. As Slevinn says, if I wanted snakeskin I'd have crafted it myself (and crafted the + version). Had I got something decent I might have opened more chests, but for now, not much incentive to open more chests. Instead I'm playing the game free, and enjoying my modest achievements in the knowledge I didn't just buy my way to the top.

As an aside, I'm astounded that people spend even $100 ever on a game like this, let alone hundreds every month. There are far better, less tedious and more challenging games to be enjoyed for a lot less money if you invest in a Nintendo DS or Sony PSP. I've recently dug out my old Nintendo SP and am enjoying Advance Wars 2 all over again.

What if DPCs gave you non+ versions unless you have unlocked the + version, and then could only give you + version of the armor?
Can't see GREE ever eliminating the non+ version chance or making it so we can craft them somehow (althought this too, is preferable to me). This could actually boost their sales, hence something they might be interested in. Shouldn't be hard to go back and add code enabling + versions checkpoints to mirror all those already in play (aka enhancing to level 35 and such).
As for fusing the + versions, perhaps it's as simple as letting you fuse two like armors as long as they are both maxed, and achieving the same armor+ but back at level 1. Tend to think the guaranteed success rate of this would make this an unlikely option for GREE, but clouds still provide beneficial. If they went this route, I can see them removing the capability to receive + versions from the DPc entirely.

Basically, we have to give up something to get something...way of the world I'm afraid.
