high levels attacking lower levels

I think its cause there isn't the amount of players 200-250 as lower levels to be able to match you up within a level down or up from your level without you constantly finding the same players on the battle list.

It is probably because they fixed the 888 glitch. I am level 230 and am now seeing levels as low as 201. Before it was no less than 20 levels lower than me.

is the shark tank one direction? in other words, can the high levels see below them but the lower levels cannot see upwards?

and where is the cutoff line for the tank? I assume it moved upwards after the game was extended to level 250.

The game looks for a range of levels that will find at least X players to make up the rivals list. There are lots of people at level 60 so the rivals list only varies about 2 levels. There are less 200s so it has to look wider. There aren't many 250s so they have to look down a long way to find enough rivals to have diversity on the rival list.

So yes... They can see you even though you can't see them. Also, the ranges are always changing as more people level up.

it's not ridiculous.....I dropped 600 folks to get down to 300 for the LTQ. Figured I would get better bracketing to find pizza parlors and the other ridiculous buildings that are hard to find at level 190.

I then moved to 500 for the syndicate war. I now get attacked on the regular. When I had over 900, the only attacks I had incoming were from people I attacked first. I don't think 888 is a magic number but somewhere over 800, one does indeed become invisible.

It used to be possible and not uncommon for a level 200 to attack a level 70. So this "new problem" of yours is actually because of how the game has been designed since day one. If you are just suddenly realizing that's not what you want, you're not forced to play.
