Could someone explain the way the valor bonus works?

I have a few of the +1 valor bonus units on raids, yet I see many raids where I will only receive 1 valor. Can anyone explain to me how this is supposed to work?

I'm not entirely sure about my answer... I think the +1 valor bonuses increase the maximum amount of valor you can get in a single raid. Example, I used to only get a maximum of about 20 valor if I was lucky enough. I now can get a possible 25 valor maximum per hit. This is just a guess and I think CJ54 could explain it.

It doesn't work. I've gotten 0 valor quite a few times. The units are worthless. Especially the +5% from raids

no actually it is not worthless..... the +5% increases your chance to get valors and the + 1 valor increases the maximum number of valors u can get

It's not worthless. My average valor output was 5 earlier. Now it's 10 :P

my main source of valour is ltq's, not bothered with the valour units

Increases the possibility of getting a more valour though it is not a certainty
