I am trying to get an idea of the best thing for our syndicate. We don't have all the billion dollar bonuses yet and am thinking of not building hideouts for the next battle.

We are top 500 and i would like to get an idea of if it is best to not buy any this next battle? Figure 100 million and a $hit ton of brick$

So what do guys do? Thanks

Get the influence points bonus first and foremost.

Hideouts don't help you with points . Influence and attack upgrades first

I'm not a leader, and I have had no input in these decisions so far, but it seems to me that unless you're in the top 25 it would be a waste of time. You spend your money and bricks in order to deprive your opponent of about 3000 IP each war (roughly 250-300 less IP per hit for the 10-15 hits it will take to beat the wall). If you're not in direct competition with that opponent for a spot in the prizes, do you really care if they score a few extra points? Losing a head to head fight is meaningless.

Now if you're in 8th-12th place, for example, those points are more important because it's far more likely you'll get matched against people you're in direct competition with for that all-important 10th spot. Every point you can deny them is like a point on your own total. Of course, those teams are talking about 16 million IP, so the walls are almost insignificant.

You should know by now, I'm helpful almost exactly half the time. It keeps people guessing.

and I get the better half. I feel fortunate:)

We have 2nd level influence but the next is 4.5 BILLION(WTF) level 3 hideout damage and many of the attacks. i tried searching out here first see many opinions.

We were about 350 last battle. So we do okay but nowhere near 100. Not enough gold for that :)

***oops billion not trillion :)

Billion.....not Trillion.....;)

And it's worth saving for it. Get the influence bonus.

If you are below Top 500 not having hideouts is okay. Our team has been from Top 100 to top 50 and we always get hideouts because we can afford it but probably can do without it... but if every top 50 to 100 had a philosophy of not having hideouts and if we are the only ones that did... the extra 3K points each battle times 50 to 60 battles makes a big difference.

on the ip bonus.... if the increased ip won't take you to the next prize level, its the biggest waste of $ in the game.

In the four battles we have had. 2 we scored over 1, mil points and we were near top 200. Last 2 battles about 800-900k we didn't use gold and we rated 330ish (fewer players, less activity partly due to GREEd)

173166110 is our syndicate.

it takes roughly 2.75m to get top 100 and 1.5m to get top 150, although top 150 ip may increase now that there is a top 150 prize.

imo, the ip bonus is a waste of money for your syndicate at this point. you are too far from the next prize level for it to help.

I don't know. When you're on the edge of a tier, depriving enemies of points can be the difference between you and them winning a spot.

and depriving your entire syndicate of IP by not getting those bonuses. But I do see how that cost can be too much for the smaller syndicates.

Another thing to take in consideration.
Our syn (Top400) didn't buy walls last battle.
Off course the other syn got more points during battle, but also did we.

Because they don't have to attack our wall they attack us more and then we have more chance in receiving def points.
I'm pretty sure this gave us decent extra points.

To give you an idea of the point inflation below are the scores for the 750 and 1000 tier over the past 4 events...

Top 750
Market Crash: 172,697
Packer Heights: 235,832
Chinatown: 246,312
Docks: 280,292

Top 1000
Market Crash: 133,615
Packer Heights: 144,768
Chinatown: 151,060
Docks: 171,323

As you can see, the team that squeaked into the 750 spot on the market crash event would BARELY have placed in the top 1000 tier on the last event. That is some crazy inflation, especially with the last event, and it represents a reason for everybody to squash as many points as possible. With 3 weeks to prepare for the next event, I expect, that the point score will be even more ridiculous.

you aren't depriving your syndicate of anything if more ip doesn't get you anything.

@Armalg-the Good the point inflation has to do more with groups merging and making various syndicates stronger but it will taper off at some point...especially in top 500 and below. Also... people are more experienced in battle so they are able to score more points.

If you are in the top 500 and have no realistic shot at 250 or higher... just increase attack stats.
