So sad that what once was a thriving forum with many great people posting regularly, has turned into a once a day at best forum to read (and this is only to find 1 post worth reading most of the time now...). For you new people this forum used to be full of people responding to threads, creating threads, sharing info, having a good time, and many people having to visit every few hours just to stay caught up. The few changed everything for the many...

The game philosophy has changed over the past half year. The change to the forum is just a reflection of that. The quality of a game and the quality of its forum are usually correlated.

You are correct about the forums slowing down to a 'once a day' read. I work night shift here in the states and my job is slow at times. So I find myself on these forums a lot! It seemed like 2 months ago there was a never ending supply of new material to read every time you refreshed the page.
I have definitely noticed the forums being a slower place. Especially in the last week. But I am not too worried about it. The next LTQ will come out in a few hours and everyone will start posting about it and everyone will spark up conversations again. This current LTQ was a little easier than others, so there wasn't as much research to be done or questions to be asked. Not to mention the 8 day period we had to complete it(which was great).
The forum will always have a few slow points here and there. If you ever pay attention to the people viewing the forum, there can be hundreds at a time. But only a few post anything. So the forum is still a happening place, people are just being quiet as there is not as many things to discuss.

I think part of it is also the fact that guilds now have their own chat rooms outside of this forum. If I have a question about the game or want to share info... I typically just keep it within the guild rather than coming on here.

That is what I was going to say.
I still check in here just about every day. And tonight I actually started a new thread here. Maybe it will get people excited? Certainly MoC engaging in our first KA "war" outside the guild battles is exciting for us. The other guys don't seem to like it so much, lol. But they brought it on themselves. :P

Have you guys also noticed less activity in the game? I'm camping at level 50, and used to be attacked several times a day. Nothing has changed on my side, but I'm attacked about twice a week now. Maybe less players passing through level 50, so less new players?

@SpikedPunch - my guess is this: the more established players in the Northern Hemp are enjoying Summer. It also used to be that around the big school holidays (which may not have started yet in some countries) you'd get a lot of new players hitting everything in sight, but this may not be so evident now as the gap between a fresh player (unless a heavy gemmer) and someone who has been playing consistently for a few months is probably too great to encourage attacks.

Seasons definitely play a part. Warmer weather and longer days...people do indeed go outside.

As a long time reader, I would speculate the reason for the death of this forum has to do with all the whining and complaining that plagues this forum. I get sick of reading all the contradictory whining that occurs instead of people adding any comments of true substance or value - too many events, not enough events, when is the event going to start, the event reward sucks, why don't they have two events going simultaneously, and so on...some people are only happy when they're complaining about how miserable everything is, unfortunately, many of those people seem to post in this forum.
What's the point in trying to have a discussion about anything when it inevitably turns into yet another Gree-bashing part, you know?
As far as the game goes, I've noticed I see the same player names a lot in my battle list so it has made me wonder if the activity has dropped off, but I'm not sure if that means the numbers have lessened or that I'm simply playing much more than I was earlier on. One thing I know for sure is I'd hate to see this game die off because it is one of my favorites by far.

We were once a live community now its pretty dead there and that's right before a large battle. So crossing my fingers that it is only the quiet before the storm or people have found better ways to communicate.
Interesting thread i am not going to speculate a reason seeing as my reasons are far out there.
Less bashing more fun is all I am saying.

How appropriate a thread! I just cleared all my PM's and sent one to a longtime friend and at the tail end, spoke of how I feel the forum has died. Then, I look at the posting and see this there. I see some old faces here, how awesome!
In fact, I've just posted to some longtime allies in-game walls as I've noticed that it's been 30+ or far greater days since we've talked. The game landscape changed with the guilds, no doubt, and to someone's point, much of the conversations are now had in the guild chat. Between RL and running a fighting guild, I hardly have the time to venture out for those good ol' chats I've had with so many in game kingdoms of the past. I just sat down last night to stop by them and found more than 20 that have fallen by the waste side. Sad really, but change comes and we have to move with it. I've posted to this before, but the forum is really what prompted me to take interest in this game, active players, intelligent, thought provoking, informational and funny posts, even those times when a couple of whales would go at it for a minute was comical. All those got me interested and I became a member to be a part of it, now, I find myself only checking in 2-3 times a week. Johnny, Ratma, Winstrol, Trinity, Weezy, Gambit, TheONEandONLY, Dexter Morgan, etc... All people I credit for getting me into this forum and game, but don't see much of them anymore. Even in game... Sad.

Most just pop in from time to time, but with RL issues and work it becomes harder to be on and participate like before !
More LTQ , Box events, and Guild wars, too much for some as you have to be on virtually 24/7 most of us have Families and work , paying off homes and other stuff, Gree have to remember its not all about them , this is an past time thing for most not a full time job, but we used to have a lot of fun back then, the bantering the jokes the big run to the BD10! Most of its gone to the wayside very tragic for a game that bought so many people together !

Yes I completely agree , I don't see much future for this game anymore..
First I was working on the BD10 and was proud thanks to my strategy to get my stats high, but ones I suceeded, the game changed, I already bought a complete army with Dragons and was checking which units could help to make my army stronger...but all is over now..
The only thing left to do for me is upgrading my money buildings and see another LTQ or boss event start, just participate in the LTQ and there my stats go again up with 30K or more.., reward units of 2K or 3K, so why should I even bother to buy other gold units, even the honor units are not interesting anymore..
"Kingdom Age" of the present: upgrade your buildings, donate gold to the guild and raid some rivals for gold.
Attacking rivals is not even there anymore, because most of us give the gold which is over-vault to their guild..
Well...in meantime I look around to find another game, KA is too much about gems ( real money ) now, that's why the Guild wars & many LTQs are there, just for quickly generating real money.., the amount of money my wife and me spent during the guild wars, I would never have spent with the normal LTQ's.
Probably I will stop spending so much money during guild wars, because honestly... a LTQ gives higher stat increase than a guild war ( for rank 50 up to 1250)
