View Full Version : Contstructive: Straight Forward Resolution, and step toward re-building player trust

Its really not that complicated to produce a good resolution. An effective resolution can only be found if the players are excited to play the game again.

Fix the past.
1. Hackers found impacting Columbia scores are banned
2. Three times the WD points those hackers introduced are removed from that Faction's total final score
3. All Factions who fought in Columbia are re-ranked and appropriate units transferred
4. Gree credits all Modern War accounts for 50% of the gold purchased for the last two months (Gree, you will just continue to fail until you get us excited to play the game again).
5. Gree acknowledges what could be the most drastic statement of frustration and "no-confidence" in the history of modern gaming with post in a locked thread (no replies possible) a genuine, honest apology and statement from a Gree Vice President acknowledging that you, Gree, value your gaming customers, your desire to build a long term relationship and commitment to invest to earn their trust.

Fix the future
1. During the upcoming WD event apply double the normal weekday level of support staffing over that weekend.
2. Establish and staff very well a special WD event Hacker reporting process. Immediately search out and ban the blatant hackers during the event. During the event deduct from that faction's WD score three times the amount of wd points that hacker produced.
3. Gree Modern War is a gold mine. Modern War has been making huge money for months. At this point there is no start up justification for any abnormal even in the gaming industry poor quality / low investment in support. Fix it.
4. Listen to the top priority requests from your customers. Slow down the events, make it your goal to foster a partnership with your customers, build effective focus groups of bi-directional respect, start "earning" the of influential players who will become advocates for you, like those that use to be common on this site.

THANK YOU!

To the MW community:
For those players that do not believe the privacy concerns are as much of a big deal, they are. Laws very by country, some things that would not be a concern in one country like the US could very easily land Gree in a EU court room facing big fines.

Players, PLEASE keep any replies constructive Thanks!

Seems well thought out

If they don't do something similar, it will hit their pockets when some of their highest paying customers stop paying

I'm a casual gold spender if that, but if some of the big gold spenders simply stop spending money, they will realize that action is needed

Thank you Surfing for an insightful honest and constructive post. I am a "gold" player - oblivious until now of the extent of the in game problems. I have earned lots of points for my faction (FFF- the best faction - with the best faction leader in Modern War) - and have willingly spent money in good faith. Now, in even saying that, I feel a bit foolish in admitting I don't cheat. Unless I can feel good about that- about being an honest player on a fair playing field, I don't see how I can continue. I am very interested in the official response you get to this- certainly my willingness to continue with the game is dependent on it.

It's all up to Gree now. They've had dozens of suggestions in multiple threads. I hope they listen, now it's time to wait and see.

Thanks for your thoughtful plan. If they implement it, a lot of goodwill would return. I would add that those banned need to be reinstated.

Well said, but won't happen.

Very well put. I agree 100%. The only I would add is it would be to Gree's benefit to start a beta testing platform. I think there would be players lined up to beta test, if nothing more than to gain early access to the events.

There is a beta program and many of the forum's frequent posters are in it. (I am not, FYI.) What GREE does with the bug reports is another matter.

There are ways to say you're sorry and sound convincing without putting your neck on the refund/litigation block. It just takes a good lawyer and an exec with some integrity and guts..... hmm.....

Apart from that, i think that they'll be getting into trouble with Apple too if this continues. Lots of refunds.

Penalizing the factions that harbor and benefit from hackers is the best way to get rid of them. Without a home they will eventually disappear.

As much as I hate to say this....gree will never apologize. I just read the thread that ferr started and pun and ferr are going to go at it. There will be a lot of money spent and that will drive the rest to buy. I would love a 50% refund from Gree for what I have spent. Great idea but Gree knows the money will be spent so they will do nothing. Wish I was wrong but it's what we will see.

I have seen many defendants in court apologize to the courts, the families, and the victims yet they are still convicted and sent away. The courts know that apologies mean nothing,They are just words. Hence the saying "Actions speak louder than words".
Apologize for the mess, then FIX them and you got me back.

what about a 50% or even 60% off sale?!?!
Anything at this point will be too little too late
