Right so I submitted a support ticket before the forums exploded with complaints

I read that cj posted we were being offered a choose of units but then I receive this a reply? Do one end not have a clue what the other is doing? Or are we all just getting mugged off???

Gree - This shouldn't be something players have to ask for; you know who obtained these units through the event and I remember seeing a post from CJ stating that these units being included were a mistake as they would not stack.

Yes this is a game but it should be fairly simple, you either refund people their gold from the ltq, give replacements of equal or better value, or do nothing and watch what apparently has been a firestorm already (I haven't been on in two days) turn into gree Armageddon

Gold is really not wanted by any of my members that went out to get those prizes in prestige mode, all they want is the working units... is it not in the best interest to just hand out working versions or something similar, I appreciate Gree taking the time out to offer at least something but it would appease a lot of players to get the actual promoted units, I think you guys will still get it in the neck if you give out gold...

I think if we knew the justification behind it, even if we don't agree with the decision, it would be a lot easier to simply swallow. 300 gold is a h3ll of a lot less than I spent in an attempt to gain the bonuses. Since I already had the falcon supersonic from the 10 crate event, I recieved none of the bonuses. The gold is an insult for the time, effort, and real money used to buy gold to achieve the units in the LTQ. We need units and or the bonuses working, not a slap in the face of 300 gold.

I'd like to concur, in a less confrontational manner, that 300 gold is not an equivalent reward to the bonuses we thought were won. I don't know what I'd suggest. Fixing the stacking or swapping the unit for one that works would be ideal.

On top of the gold I also leveled up which is in the long run more costly than the initial gold purchases (tougher bosses, more difficult to get wd pts, etc).

Seems like everyone just wants their boosts working, myself included. I don't get how some hackers seem to be able to adjust whatever they want but Gree can't issue a couple units? Even give them 0/0 stats but with a boost the works. Anybody get the gold yet?

I didn't use gold to get the units, but 300 gold is a piddly amount for compensation for units that don't work. Yes, they boosted my stats, but I had to level up in order to get them. The extra health regen would be very helpful in beating the boss, which is harder due to leveling up. Given that the prizes were not as good for this LTQ, I only intend to finish normal mode and am on the last stage at this point but would have already had it finished if the boosts stacked. The benefits lost due to the units not stacking is worth a heck of a lot more than 300 gold.

Gree must honor the awarded units totally. They then should not award them any further unless it is to lower level players to bring them up. Integrity is severely compromised if they do not honor the awards they promised. No amount of gold will rewin the good will from their players.

I feel the units shouldn't stack and that 1% of the people are only crying. These extra bonus attached to the units wasn't meant to be and this has been clearly stated by GREE so no compensation should be made and those who have recieved 300 gold you should count your lucky stars.

GREE dont worry about these 1% cry babies, we are happy with the game and we understand these bonuses where a mistake.

If you did, good approach, if you didnt, you aren't even effected by this, so no need to weigh in.

The problem is now we know how easy it is to alter unit stacks, hackers are doing it and you don't even need a jailbroken device to make it work. GREE should be able to.
Lets also not forget, there was nothing indicating the boosts were a mistake, the valor and raw a/d gains were much lower than previous LTQs, we all assumed the boosts were making up for that.

quite the contrary. It costs them labor hours and productivity. The person they would have to sick on this project of manually deleting the second falcon from the affected inventories and replacing with another modifier unit would cost them time and money.

the 300 gold is the easy, cheap way out of actually being a company that relies on customer service.

sure it will shut a few up, but it will strike much more doubt and uncertainty in the hearts of the players that have supported their jobs for so long.

it is a risk they seem to be willing to take.

for me, they have ended my gold spending with this 'token' of their screw up.

if they were to replace the falcon with a unit that does work - absolutely I would purchase again.

And it wouldn't take very long. You can change it yourself in about a minute, surely they could run a script to distribute 0/0 units with these boosts to those that have the broken ones.

Whereas units make your limited (2000) useful inventory by attack or defense stats, this solution would not work. However, as they did with the double, triple, and quadruple reward unit snafu after brazil (remember that?), they can run a script to remove units from those who have them. They've already written it after Brazil, and merely need to change the unit. Then they run the script to place an identical working, different class unit in the inventories of those who have it.

It is not in need of the kind of manual labor suggested above. The automation is available already and has been used many times in Modern War.

It is my opinion that they do not want to do it because they think, had they not erred, they'd have preferred we never got such a boost in the first place. On this theory, despite their mistake, they stumbled into a rose bush insofar as the unit bonuses didn't work. That is my current read on the facts presented.

300 gold is a joke. Once again, horrendous customer service. Imagine if GREE had a call center how many times customers would ask to speak to the manager. My top 50 faction is backing off of gold spending after the most recent GREE foul ups. Only way to take the power into our own hands and get what we want is pay for what we want, and if we aren't getting it don't pay anymore. Then they have to listen.

I have been reading these forums for well over a year and finally decided to say what's on my mind. Concerning the useless prestige mode units that can't stack: I completely agree that Gree made a huge mistake by offering them, wether it was accidental or negligence or sheer laziness/stupidity, we will never know. All they had to do was put 2 little tiny words in the unit pic. 2 simple words, 1 little phrase....

Regardless of how these units got in the ltq, they were still there and everyone, myself included, goes on a tear demanding these units be fixed, or replaced with the stat boosts. I tell you honestly I would love the extra stat boosts. I truly would. The units were in the game, we paid money, we have every right to get the item we paid for(or didn't have to pay for, for those of us that don't sleep).

Or should we? Honestly think about the game balance. Seriously just think about it. Say we all got our stat boosts that they advertised.... What about the people who just started 5 minutes ago? Those poor noobs with 3 energy/minute when his nearest competitor gets 7.....
I have 4 20% health regen units.... 3 work, one doesn't stack. With guild bonus I'm at just over 9 minutes/25 health regen. If I had the 4th, I would be about 8 minutes. Ok I paid gold for each and every one, but where's the fairness to the free players? How can we justify something so game breaking?
And don't kid yourselves. It WOULD be game breaking. Over inflate everything until there's no way to compete if you are just starting out or even go on vacation for a week.
I now fully understand why Cj said they weren't supposed to be in the ltq in the first place. Yet the fact remains, THEY WERE. Do I want my units? Yes I do, yet no I don't. Do I think 300 gold is a fair trade? Not even close, but the alternative I believe would just make a bigger mess of an already sticky situation.
I understand and also want to progress and get the higher stats just like you or the next person, but not at the cost of rapidly destroying the game by inflation higher than we already have, or did y'all failed to notice the most recent ltq energy requirements? We are a Top 75 faction which, as a group, spend a LOT of gold on Gree events, including LTQ and WD events. When one of my players posted that the units were not stacking and that Gree's idea of a solution was to violate their trust relationship with their customers, only providing 300 gold. Everyone who plays these events knows that 300 gold does not come close to making up for the time and effort players put into pursuing these goals.

Many of our members are now threatening to withdraw from purchasing gold until the time comes where Gree honors their words. These items were advertised as coming with prizes by Gree. Gree established the expectation and certainly benefitted financially from that representation. Some might argue that Gree created a legal contract to provide the advertised benefits in exchange for member participation. At the very least, Gree should honor their commitments. If not, they are certain to lose the trust of Modern War users as more become aware of this apparent breach of trust.

We all know this unit is worth more like 3000 Gold! If you really think it is only worth 300 Gold - then include it in the next LE set so anyone who wants it can get it for a mere 300 Gold!

Otherwise If you want to make this problem go away before we all start getting Apple tickets going and let them resolve it for you - then I suggest you step it up - own up to your "mistake" and come back with a much more fair evaluation of how much this unit is worth.

I would suggest that 1500 gold for the 1st one and 3000 gold if you got the one in Prestige mode is much closer to the mark.

We know they can do it easily, they did it with the bridge jumpers. They're just ignoring it.

Giving the prize is not that complicated either. Just look at the #2 prize for Madagascar. They can similarly code a 20% health regen for everyone who received the prestige mode tomcat, and similarly give a +2 to everyone with the falcon supersonic.

I concur that the 300 gold offer is a pittance compared to what folks spent to get achieve those units, and the benefit to do future LTQ's and boss events makes those units invaluable.

Going through the forums, seems like things have gone from bad to worse!
I am sure US & EU regulators would be interested in opening investigations into the company's practices.

You should show the regen in your stats. It's only a issue if you have more than one Tomcat. I have the deadly bridge jumper and that one works just fine with the Tomcat. But not the second Tomcat.

Ever since that LTE and the placement of that item into my inventory my ORIGINAL + 6 energy regen from non stacking units, has REVERTED to +3 or LESS. Again I ask how do I get on the list of affected players? Am I automatically on by getting the second unit and Gree knows or do I have to submit a ticket... If they are giving out 300 gold I think I should get some of that even though I also think its not enough...

From the sound of things, I'd guess you have to send in a ticket. You shouldn't have to, but we also shouldn't have to have this thread to begin with.

Yeah it should be very simple, they of course can see who has them at a glance as it'l be in their DB, I'm confused as to why it should take be difficult to fix, they produce units all the time.
I'm just telling everyone in my faction to put a ticket in. They'll get a reply back in 4 weeks saying has this been resolved yet, which is exactly what I got about my missing Gold. Ha
