All names suggested by this date will be put into a poll where every player will then have the option to vote for ONE forum moderator. Keep the names coming!

Are you tired of every post on this forum becoming a rant about something completely off topic?

GREE are very busy trying to fix the problems that we all rant about. They do not have the time to police these forums as effective as is required.

I know a post was created the other day suggesting that GREE should create forum mods... but like I said they don't have the time. So they don't have the time to get to know players and who deserves to become a mod.


to this end, why don't we pick and GREE can use our suggestions to hopefully make this a reality?



Everyone pick 2 players from the forum that they believe deserve to be a forum moderator and post them below. I will compile a table of votes and hopefully GREE will pick from this (don't just choose members from your guild.)

Do not rant on here - this is what I'm trying to prevent.

Moderators are selected by GREE. Moderators are not volunteers. I have not selected 2 people that I like. I have selected 2 people that unlike yourself... They bring something to this community. They are highly active here. they have extensive experience of the game. They are helpful and obey the forum rules.

Unlike your post, mine was neither a rant or an argument. I was merely pointing out that when people consider who they think should be mods, they will naturally think first if the popular posters, who are not necessarily the best choice. It goes without saying that any mod needs to be highly knowledgeable about the game.

For those who don't know, VileDoom is one of the most respected players of this game and is also a great person. Make no mistake: this community has just become much poorer from this sad day on.

Personally, I think the moderation here is fine (I may be new to posting here, but I've lurked for months). I've seen much worse; some game forums don't have any form of moderation at all. But I've also seen a similar movement in another official game forum, where the controllers not only finally listened to our pleas to have one of their staff actively moderate, but they also allowed one of us players to join their ranks as a volunteer mod as well.

So... I vote for Johnny, because he wants it, and people seem to like him. Who wants my second vote?

They have to be intresting in moderators. they have to publish: we pay 1500 gems per month to moderators, who wanna be moderator please send us your nickname, ID and bla-bla... I don't think it is great idea to choose moderators as we want.

It is work every day and work has to be paid.

Keep adding to the thread and get everyone on board with their opinions and let's see how things go. There are many members here that offer a lot to the community and the game for sure.

So that I don't seem biased, I won't state names but theres a few on my map that will own.

Regardless, everyone has to abide by the forum guidelines.

Let's focus on taking steps forward and making positive changes that benefit everyone on both sides. Keep it constructive.

The problem I see with nominating mods is that it is human nature to protect your own. While there are several on here who seem to be well spoken, professional, and ethically above reproach, my concern is that mods who are guild members, which most of us are, are more willing to look the other way for members of our own guilds or like-minded guild's members while banning others. Personally, if I were a mod, I would be tempted to permanently ban any member that admits to hacking or any member that advertises for, or tries to recruit for, a guild that is seemingly hacked.

If we do elect mods, I believe it would probably be better if these individuals created a second 'mod' account and do not advertise for a particular guild in their signature block. Just my 2 cents~

here are my thoughts: Moderator should be:
1. someone who can represent fairly both gemmers and free players.
2. someone who knows the game, and is an active and daily player.
3. Someone who is well spoken, articulate, and diplomatic. They should be able to work well with players and with Gree, and not someone who flames or incites.
4. They should be calm and able see both sides of every issue.
5. They should be familiar with guilds and guild play, and they should have relationships with many of the guilds.
6. They should be approachable.

For these reaasons...I nominate Tiki. She is all of the above, and more. I think she would handle the job, the people, the players, and Gree staff with the same skill and consideration that she has shown as an Ambassador over the last year that I have observed her. She has displayed only an interest in helping others and the community.

I also think that Dragcro displays these same qualities, and only has the interest of the players and the games at heart.

When choosing a moderator just think about this. "If Robert Downey Jr. runs for President, he would probably win simply due to the fan base voting to put him in office. Even though he can play one hell of a part as Ironman doesn't mean he would make a good president." Think about that around here. Just because they are loved by the community, doesn't necessarily mean they will be good for the community. (not meant to be attacking anyone!)
Aside from that, there were a few in the list that I could see as filling the part well. But that's completely up to Gree and who they think would be responsible enough to play the part.

I suport Jonny and some that i mention because i know that they play fair and they are legit players,they never hacked the game or abused on any way.
As for helping players with answers i saw and that..Its not all just to post acomplishment in events and what are the prizes in every stage.
Mod need to be here for people and to help with advice no mater if it is small question or big.The most important thing is to close all those that troll and those that abuse rules of forum

This thread was created to assist GREE's decision of whom to promote to moderator if they were to go in this direction.

@Colony. I'm not in FK, but am a member of the FK guild. I was also an officer and leader in DW prior to that. In addition, I worked with about 15 of the guilds to develop a list of issues and concerns which I have been communicating to the head of customer support at Gree. You may see those issues and responses to date in my posts. I had discussed with them either forming a customer focus group, or a customer focus forum here. They rejected the initial offer of a conference call with guild reps from the top 10 guilds as they felt it was not representative of the entire player base. But you'll see that in my posts.

Not sure why you want to close the voting after just a few days. I think open discussion is healthy. Dragcro is getting a lot of votes in spite of advocating for others because he has helped so many players over the years, and is trusted. He has the best interests of the players and the game at heart. So his friends and allies are coming in to vote for him.

Sorry, appointing a not paid forum member to clean up and guard a forum is asking too much from a community.

Fixing issues is not an excuse for neglecting the rest. If you got such structural problems as gree has, then you need to invest in resources.

Maybe we should start a thread already to find volunteers to go cleaning the houses of the forum moderators that might be appointed as they will not have time left to clean their house?

I really don't think it matters if people vote for someone that is their guild there is a max of what 60 members max in one guild compared to how many thousand forum members.

This is supposed to be a vote for moderators that give a voice and perspective of players which I think is great.

People should be allowed to vote for who ever they want to vote for whether they are guild members or not. The point is to pick someone that you think would be great as a moderator. It is not like a moderator of the forums is going to give a particular guild an edge over another guild. It should be more about how a person nominated to be a moderator is going to help make the forums better for everyone.

It seems it has even gotten positive interest from the admin.

Regardless of who is nominated I hope it becomes a reality and it will be interesting to see what comes of this :)

Bad mouthing other people not my cup of tea but I guess it was to be expected and prob goes back to the days of cavemen tho more with grunts and shaking of sticks back then.

I think it would be much more productive if people state who they nominate and why they would be great instead of saying why some one wouldn't, but hey I guess it is bound to happen.

Yes Jonny can be a bit of a Brat at times look at his profile pic he doesn't hide the fact, but he doesn't go overboard. He adds a bit of humor and life into the forums and he is very knowledgeable and offers his sage advice along with the sarcastic wit that some people hate and some people love.

Personally I am happy Jonny is back :)

I see Jonny and Gambit is tied at 18 and 18. 2 completely different styles it should make a interesting mix :)

I understand that this thread has come a long ways. But I feel it could be organized better. I think it would be a good idea to close this thread. After that make a new thread that was an actual poll. There simply list everyone that has either been voted for or mentioned in this thread. That way people could vote a little more anonymously. I'm sure there are members out there that don't want to take the time to stop and voice their "favorites". I'm just saying, it might be a good idea if you were to do this. But that completely up to you Colony Colonel... Maybe give people a cut off date on your OP and then Open an "Official" poll after that. Just a thought :)

You could make it multiple the results should pan out in the end just pick the top 2 :)

G'day Colony Colonel, I wish to put forward a proposal to this if I may , I understand that Jonny has wanted to withdraw his nomination.... I must protest at this , I think that Jonny has the know how and gumption to help bring this forum back to a medial level with his vast knowledge and take no crap attitude!
Although I have been nominated and appreciate everyone's input and support (Thankyou voters) I must have Jonny reconsider his situation on this, I have known Jonny for some time and have a very good trust with his advisory capacity it is with this that I ask that he be re-instated and have my votes as I can see a more open forum moderator with Gambit
These 2 Capable persons will bring this forum back to its former glory and hold judgement when needed and "Guide" newbies in the right direction!
I am confident that this will be the turning point of the forum if we have these 2 persons overseeing these posts and threads and point us in the right direction . I am Honoured and taken aback that I was even considered but with other members being more dilligent and vocal, but I can have an input from time to time and trust that other forum Memebers see my point of view, I trust and hope that Sirius and Gree take note of all the effort everyone has taken to nominate and vote on behalf of these TOP members and wish that it will come to fruition with just cause and enlightenment for all other members!
