Why would somebody do this?

I'm trying to work out if I'm missing something here.

This person keeps raiding my defensive and boost buildings on my base.
Sometimes they will even miss raiding my money buildings to raid my defensive buildings.

What I don't get, is that this doesn't bother me at all. - I lose nothing, and they gain nothing
It takes me 10 seconds to "repair" all the buildings, but would have taken the offender ages to attack them all.

Even though the taking down of my buildings might temporarily reduce my defence, this person is more than strong enough to beat me without taking my defences down.
In addition, being a regular player, I repair them, usually within 10 minutes of them being taken down.

The amount of time and stamina invested in attacking all my defensive buildings seems pointless.

Do people get extra BP or Exp or valor from attacking defensive buildings, or is this person a bit simple, or am I missing something?

He will get bp points. Its easier to raide some one then attack them.
And big apple just told us he have been raided by the cartel

Well considering my defence is 350k and his attack is 1.7M, I don't think he's raiding because it's easier... He also hits me for my over vault cash before he raids...

As for the BP points... is it more for defensive buildings over cash buildings?

Maybe he has a lot of '+2 valor on raids' units. This would make him a lot of valor. But with 1.7M stats, what use are valor units?

Maybe all 3 of these things are correct...
But what doesn't make any sense is that it doesn't annoy me at all, it doesn't affect me at all...

It seems like a waste of his time...
So I guess my thoughts, that he's an idiot appear to be spot on.

I often raid this way for battle points, i don't typically take the boosts though.
Just shows they don't care about your money - a "friendly" raid, as you say it takes you mere seconds to rebuild them.

Mainly to increase their battle points. Its better this way rather than to ruined your stat losses.

In addition I hit every building of a player that was annoying me with hits. Then a faction abused my second account so I screenshot each player and sent my faction after them and we done same to several

true, but maybe thats his/her formula for getting the boss. i follow the same routine with spawning this boss and it works, it differs for some.

There are some things that just cannot be explained. Just be happy he is not raiding your money buildings.
