I guess I don't understand the concept of double down but how do you get it so high? I think the most mine ever was around 500

Try to remember names of opponents you get that gives you 45 points and when you double down target them for maximum points.

I don't remember the amount but I had a count continue over from the previous amount and got to 350% increase by the time I hit 8/8 in the present event

The double down % is fixed so what's important is the points you get from your opponent.

As far as I know 45 is the most you can get.

I don't think I've ever gotten more than 15+3 (shutdown). What determines the amount of points?

I know that anyone way below your level guarantees you 15 pts + shutdown/revenge if applicable. But since there is no way of knowing what level your opponent is all I can say is that for someone around your level gives 21. And those that are clearly well above yours give 45. I also came across a few that gives up to 33, and unless there's a way to determine the level of your opponent I can't think of other way to categorize them. As I have gotten 45 pts from someone with much lower pts than I do and get 15 with those that has more.

I've never gotten more than 15 though, surely not everyone I beat was way below my level. I think recently quite a few higher too, actually.
