Compare the top 10 from Columbia to Ireland. You will see that the top 3 reduced their spending more than 30%. When you look at the 4 through 10 finishers, you see that their spending went up on average 90%!

So much for the Cartel saving anyone any gold. If the purpose of the Cartel was to lock in top 10, then I guess they did that. I suppose I really don't understand their purpose.

Don't forget about the 40% off sale and notice that the difference between 4-10 is very small.

Looks like that occurred bc of some rougue factions not playing by the rules. I suspect that doesn't happen again.

So gree loves the teams that spend less then what gree think they should? U dont make sence Andy.
The reason 4-10 had 2 use more was becouse of 11th place

I'm thinking the only people that benefited from the Cartel were the top 2 teams. I'm sure Gree would love to see them in another death match! Yes, it was a dog fight because of pressure at #11. I suspect that there will always be a rogue faction or two.

I think there were two very different ideas of so called cartels. One went nowhere. Trying for a tie? Very difficult i imagine. Then what would gree come up with for a tie breaker, as you puld jave to believe they would. Battles won or lost? Faction with highest scoring player?

There was the free Cartel who was against Gold. What Cartel was the top ten part of?

Looking out for one another, trying to keep spending down, OBO looks to have thrown a wrench in that,

Actually if that was the goal, it worked. They were always going to be pushed by eleventh. From the stats i saw 4 th through 10th were super close, rather than wasting a lot more to go above and beyond. Looks like it worked oerfectly from the numbers i saw. All on 24 mil, dont know how much tighter than that it can get. Even third was not very far away. Top three did spend much less this time too. So all in all, looks like mission accomplished.

I don't think Ireland is a good comparison with Columbia because ireland was a free for all with Ferr and PUN hitting about 1.6bil for just the 2 of them. How about comparing Columbia with China or Egypt or Greenland.
