Escalating anything has nothing to do with speed regardless of how the word is used.

If all they said was escalate, without any specification as to which direction, it could go either way.

Usually when dealing with tickets "escalate" would imply "forward to supervisor/up the chain of command"... But this is Gree you're dealing with, how confident are you that any progress is actually in the direction you want?
