Boost Situation Update
- May 26: CJ54 posts update. Thank you CJ54. Note: With knowledge of the entire event, I might have considered stopping at lvl 31/53 prestige. See Note #2 also. A quick glance of the units vs costs suggests a fair premium for limited gains to complete lvl 32-53 in prestige mode. Stopping after completing lvl 31/53 also means that it is not necessary to upgrade unit buildings above what is needed for normal mode.

Note #2: With the unfolding bonus stacking situation and that boosts don't stack, but that Gree might do something about it, I have no good advice. It depends on (a) if Gree does something, (b) if they do something that correlates to levels in the LTQ, and (c) if you already have the boost units or not. Gree could create awards to directly replace those won at each specific level, in which case going to lvl 31 makes sense. Gree could make some magical award for everyone that finishes prestige as compensation, in which case stopping at 31 would be a problem. Gree could do nothing at all, in which case the rewards in prestige are very light compared to prior LTQs and going free would appear to make sense.

So far, (only level 11) prestaging has worked for about 6 targets. But I went through and hit every target that had at least 2 hits. Not just the ones from the last ltq. Not much so far but I think it will help more and more, the farther I go and get into the 9/10 ones verses the 1/2 or just one hit wonders...

It's already there. You might not be a high enough level to see it. In order for me to see the missions I had to exit out of the game and restart it; try restarting.

While im all for Units not Stacking (it helps control hacking to a degree) gree shouldnt recycle Units that can't be stacked. While it hasn't impacted me yet (although i don't know what the name of this unit is yet) i know when it does i'm going to be royally pissed that my bonus won't work)

I usually wait until the last day to use gold to finish up but I used some to get to lvl 25 asap to take advantage of that +2 energy regen :). So to those who wait until the last day like me, use gold now at least until you get to 25. Might save you quite a bit.

I do the requirements last. They're the hardest to do, and it gives me a chance to see the full picture. If you're concerned prior to me summarizin the requirements, there are several things you can do:

1. Look at each map and mission I've listed and see if you meet the requirements.
2. Look at each map and click all around and see if you seem to meet the requirements.
3. Start doing the LTQ, but don't spend gold until I post

It usually takes me about 4-6 hours to do the LTQ, and then another 2 for the requirements.

For reference, I have every unit building at lvl 10.

well i would appreciate if they fixed it for us.. i actually want to change what i said about the +2energy units, they are NOT the same unit so they SHOULD work. BUT they still do not, all energy units, Next Gen Cruiser +1, Falcon Supersonic +2, and Covert Jet Fighter +2... + the original +3 that everyone has for energy regeneration... =8

If i follow Devin's lead i think you need a level 5 airfield (spectre gunship, harrier jet) and level 4 shipyard (cruiser) to get the healthregen unit. This means longtime upgrading if you're not already have these upgrades. I am not completely sure, but i you have low level unitbuildings you better check out the maps

Mine is L8 but I have option to buy the SEAL unit and a few that came after it... maybe you read 6 and wrote 9 (I'm dyslexic, so know that it happens)? Or did Gree change the unit per level at some point the past? When I saw that I was shy I ran to find out how long it would take to get that last level, but I think it may be a mis-print.

Just don't want people running to upgrade their Barracks to level 9 and using a ton of gold if it's not required. Cheers!

My totals DO NOT include the non-indestructible units. They only include the indestructible ones.

Lots lower stats, more boosts. I would hope that they stack properly when all is said and done (i.e. if they don't presently, I'd hope it's just a temporary bug which gets fixed).

Well, your guess is as good as mine. My summary bonus section shows a total of +2. If I look at individual bonuses, I see both the +2 boosts (falcon supersonic and covert jet fighter) and each does indeed say +2.

Vnastier: and all others who were gna go for the bonus units but aren't bc they rnt working: despite the turtle like nature of gree they do tend to fix these types of things. For example the xian destroyer which was paying 1000% valor until people griped and they took it down. I would recommend doing this for the energy bonus and health bonus units because even if they aren't working now you have to believe that it is just a problem with the code that was designed to stop hackers that they will go in and fix in a month. I for one don't want to be going darn I wish I had that extra regen on an EB or ltq in a month.

Mossy you can have two units that give the same bonus and it will work, it only doesnt work if you have twice the same units, its to make sure hackers cannot take advantage of it. So go look in your inventory if you dont have that specific units, it will work!

What I noticed is that an Energy Regen of +2 impacts the amount of energy you get when you buy a refill for 20 gold. I get 1002 points instead of 1000. I have not noticed it impact the amount of energy restored per minute.

Having finished it, and having knowledge of the entire event, you might consider stopping at lvl 31/53 prestige. A quick glance of the units suggests a fair premium for limited gains.

Gree will love you for pointing out how poor and destructible the end units are...... Or is it made up, your plot to give reg the edge in gold free war. But thanks very much for the heads up, good knowing as I don't had the upgrades for some units you saved me alot of gold.

You should set up to allow people to donate small amounts via pay pal or something for your efforts.

not worth it this time, i will stop after i get those boost units. i think they are just making everyone use up their 40% gold on this event before they raise the unit stats. the second ltq usually has higher stat units

There is a toolkit app you can download. Also there is a spreadsheet in the post, whats is called, the sticky with tips for beginners (with n00 in the title), at the end of the post, it is incomplete, but stil useful

It takes a long time to get the upgrades, by the way

Error. Every time you need to earn more points. The veterans will continue the same, new are the beneficiaries. Will be more competitive. This does not represent anything, you can do 5/10 thousand points more. It changes nothing.

Having finished it, and having knowledge of the entire event, you might consider stopping at lvl 31/53 prestige. A quick glance of the units suggests a fair premium for limited gains.

Although knowing that the Units are not working while others probably won't stack makes me want to stop in Normal mode (as reduced casualties do nothing and very shortly Valor won't do anything)

On a side Note Gree should consider giving you Compensation for putting this together. I suspect a large number of players push on and spend gold when they weren't planning on doing so because you provide them information.

On lvl 25/42 commander idris does not show a green arrow above his head, if I attack him will it still count? I've tried everything I can think of (restart app, delete and reinstall app) but nothing has made the green arrow appear. I'd really like to kno before I attack him because I prestaged him and I don't want to have to end up attacking him 8 times. Thanks for any help!

This happens more often. Just make sure it's time to hit him and it'll be ok. I believe it's the same two levels further. Gave me no problems.

For all those that want to stage, what you do is take past tutorials from Devin and go through the maps and hit the same building as used before. If a building takes 6 hits, hit it 5 times, that way when the event comes up, all those multi-hit targets will only take one hit, so you can get a lot farther in the event without gold.

Pros
1. Let's you get a lot farther in the event while spending less. The prizes are great.

Cons
1. It doesn't prevent you from leveling up. Experience points still count
2. While you can be pretty sure what building and people Gree will use for the next event, if you turn out to be wrong you just took on unneccessary Experience points and wasted a lot of time, and
3. Some people have been losing their staging progress once the event starts. Not sure if they updated with a patch or are on Android, but past staging attempts yields the occassional complaint of losing the points.

Yes if you are currently on 3 per minute (the default everyone starts with) and you get the Covert Jet Fighter you will get 5 energy points per minute after a restart of the game.

Thanks for the guide Devin, if anyone is interested how far a free player can get through this, I am just finishing lvl 26/42 now, thats with some pre-staging and levelling up once. Now I am getting +5 energy per minute I expect to make about level 38 for free.
That gets me both of the working bonuses so I will be happy enough with that.

Just wondering. You say that this ltq requires for exampel level 7 barracks and so on.
I havent upgraded unitbulidings for months (didnt see the point when indestructables were thrown at me)
So when does it require theese upgrade??. Iam at 24 now...level 2 shipyard level 4 barracks and so on.

That's a larger topic than the original post, but it has come up a bunch in the thread. That said, in regards to this case:

1: These old units which include the boosts should not have been included in this LTQ (same for the last LTQ where an old Collect 10 item was used), that was a mistake due to an internal miscommunication.

2: For units that give a boost effect, that boost does not stack with itself. We can't make them stack with themselves. The raw attack/defense stats obviously still apply properly.

3: Units that have a boost effect and are part of the same item group (are different level/strength tiers of the same item, like the Covert Jet Fighter and the Falcon Supersonic) will not stack with each other. We can't make that happen either. Again, the raw attack/defense still adds to your attack/defense.

We're currently looking into what we CAN do for this case, and we have also put checks in place to prevent this from happening again.

Or, you complete the 25th mission, and you don't get the prize for the mission, but the 26th mission pops up for you. Gee thanks Gree.

I've got to say, the Covert Jet Fighter is my favorite prize. I've been getting the normal 180 energy per hour before, but with its energy bonus, I now get 300 per hour. This'll help a lot during future LTQs.

It's the same math that determines who wins in a fight. You gain some, you lose some, toss a dice and find out. I think there's a 37 sided dice in the game engine.

For those that haven't seen, I updated my note on the first page to say that with the uncertainty about how the boost situation will unfold, I really don't know what level people should pursue to maximize their benefit. I can no longer say achieving lvl 31/53 is a good idea, nor can I say it's a bad idea - It all depends on what, if anything, Gree elects to do, and also what boost units you already have as to how much benefit you will/won't get from this LTQ.

The outcomes I can imagine:
- nothing is done. The units are as-is.
- replacement units with identical boosts that work are given to people who won in this LTQ.
- some form of compensation unit/ boost/ benefit is given to those that completed normal and/or prestige.
- everyone gets some gold.

You'll have to each make up your own mind as to what strategy to play. Ideally, we get some clarity from CJ54 or Sirius before the event ends, but that also might not happen.

I don't want anyone to feel misled by the walk through... If you decide to go all in, there's a risk you get nothing. If you decide to sit this one out, there's a risk some cool compensation prize is awarded. Anyone's guess is as good as mine.

When you buy energy for 20 gold you get 1000 energy points added as a maximum, if your energy bar is not capable of holding this much or you have some residual energy meaning the space you have left in your bar is under 1000 then you will simply get your bar filled up to it's maximum.

They definitely should. They aren't in the same item group or anything like that. I won't know for certain until tomorrow, but I see zero reason why they shouldn't. I have the P-91 pounder (30%), assault bridge jumper (20%), deadly bridge jumper (20%) and those all stack fine. The First Strike Tomcat should stack up perfectly with those (but if you get both First Strike Tomcat's, only one will stack).

Question on the stacking issue:

If there are two boosts in same class, but each has a different value, which value takes priority.

In other words, if there is an Air asset with +1 energy and an Air asset with +3 energy, does the +3 take priority or is it the first unit of the group you obtain. So if +1 was first, does +1 take precedence because it was the first, or does the +3 take precednce because it is the highest value?

If it is highest value, there is a relatively simple fix to the stacking issue, at least in events like this LTQ - Simply make the second unit a +4. The end result would be the same as having two separate +2 units in the same class that were able to stack. One cannot get to the +4 unles they have already passed the level for the previous +2.

Also, the bonuses in the WD may have the same issue. Haven't checked inventory, but if they also bump up against the stacking limitations, then some, if not many, of the WD bonuses are unusable.

Can anyone speak to this????

Devin i for one dont think anyone can accusing you of trying to mislead any players. Again the is an act of Grace and Kindness you do for the Community to help others make informed decisions. You can't be responsible for the acts of Gree..That would be like telling people the odds of betting and then them getting angry at you because they still lost based on those odds. Please continue to provide this valuable information.

I personally have struggled with what to do. Primary reason is the high XP gained from these events as i'm about to finish normal. I keep pushing forward slowly hoping to hear some sort of update to help my decision but again at the end of the day that is my decision regardless of what i do and Gree's responsibility to resolve the issue.

Does anybody know what level in normal mode you need the Pavelow Helicopters or Leopard Tanks? I'm trying to get to 35 for the second boost unit, but I don't have my airfield or War Factory to level 7 since I'm British and all sea.

I would prefer to stop gaining exp if I won't be able to get the unit, since I'm level 75 and don't want to move into the next bracket right before a boss event >.<

So should I go to lvl 32 prestige and get the 2 items that don't stack??? I'm in the process of completing normal mode. Help please, I don't want to spend unnecessary gold!

Does anybody know what level in normal mode you need the Pavelow Helicopters or Leopard Tanks? I'm trying to get to 35 for the second boost unit, but I don't have my airfield or War Factory to level 7 since I'm British and all sea.

I would prefer to stop gaining exp if I won't be able to get the unit, since I'm level 75 and don't want to move into the next bracket right before a boss event >.<

Level 37 is the first that requires Pavelow and Leopard.

I know you will need a L6 airfield for the first mission on the oil rig in naval battle as I found when looking through to see where my LLP could get to. As for the first instance of level 7 needed I am not entirely sure but i have a feeling you might make it ok to the tomcat. Really your best course of action though is to go through the maps in advance following Devins post and see for yourself the requirements of each mission to be absolutely sure.

In case anyone else is wondering, you need your airfield to be level 6 to get the -20% health regen unit. It's needed to buy Spectre Gunships for levels 33-35 of normal mode.

Without knowing how Gree will resolve this then only you can make this choice.

turns out the +2 energy falcon supersonic does not work at all... i have 2 devices and i added it all up by myself i am missing +2 energy on both even though they are on my individual bonuses. my + energy per minute before and after getting the falcon did not change, and i only have one on each device.

really upset now because i went all the way to 31, and now i cant be sure if the -20% regen work either.... i was hoping to be able to to these ltqs easier with more energy regen but no...

My LLP was at level 39 and I leveled up 1 day into the event and it it showed up as soon as I hit level 40

I have the same issue. I sent support a ticket. No response which sucks. I spent gold to get it, because it would help make finishing the event easier. I'm not sure how you can charge $$ and have an item not work. No wonder the BBB ranking is an F.

The ones that say not-indestructible are not indestructible, the rest are indestructible ;)

But to summarize, in normal mode the 39 and 42 level units are indestructible, while in prestige level 39 is destructible while 42 is concrete.

If you look through the ltq walk through, where a unit received is not indestructible it says that behind the unit stats. Search 'not-indestructible' to see.

Only those units that are indestructible are included in the raw gain totals.
