I like how their response sounds EXACTLY like one of their support tickets. Anyone who has ever tried sending one knows what I mean.

A thread kill was anticipated. We have already set up our own forum and real time chat.

This will not stop what is planned ... And only furthers our resolve to more forward with our 24 hour boycott and if necessary more....

Oh come on!

A 24 hour boycott... what's the use of that? After your boycott, there's still more than a day left. It only takes 2 hours to spend the gold to hit a million points or more. So I ask again, what's the purpose?

I dunno man, it just sort of came to me in a dream, or something.

It is designed to be a statement and not a declaration of war. We want changes ... We want improvements ....we want a voice. ... We take this limited approach to show simply we are united... If we go unheard, there are further actions planned far greater than a simple 24 hour boycott. This is but a first step. We love the game ...and want it to thrive.

I would be very surprised if we didn't get matched up at some point in the war. :) You guys are almost identical syndicates, but the only difference was that my current syndicate asked first.

It's also indication that you're unwilling to sacrifice anything to move Gree and therefore not serious.

Why should players need to sacrifice something? Especially to get something as basic as customer support? This decision at least lets players be heard and not ignored which is what has been going on forever.

^ Stupidity at its finest.

The subject of the sacrifice I speak of is the shiny baubles and trinkets that drive the addictions these players have to this game. Obviously they cannot bear the loss of the prizes on offer. If players can't let go of their addictions, why would Gree even listen, let alone act?

Glitters.. I respect you opinion however realize our actions. We are not trying to cripple the game ..rather just a simple showing to Gree that we are united and can cause an effect on what they value most... Profits earned from players.

We are not embarking on a war against Gree with the goal of destruction.... Rather we are taking a small step to be heard and effectuate positive changes for the benefit of all.

^Negativity at it's finest

By your logic, players are to be simply cows to be reigned in and milked and not listened to unless they stop producing milk. Gee what a great person you are. Yes, running a game is a business but in it's current state GREE treats it's customer base like crap. It used to be about game developers making, listening and improving a game for their customers. Thankfully some game companies still care. Anyway, it's obvious from all your posts that you have an incredibly cynical view and won't be persuaded otherwise.

24 hour boycott by the teams is not unreasonable, it is not meant to be an attack, it is not intended to cripple Gree.

It is simply a statement. We want to be heard. We want changes. We want things to improve.

We love the game ... And want to see it thrive.

Why not just participate in every second event instead of trying to win them all

lolmetimbers

Bottom line is that player's are dissatisfied with the direction of the game and want change. Game developers should listen to their customer base within reason. As a start, GREE has recently opened a Feedback thread and acknowledged the previous locked thread. Whether or not this boycott succeeds or future efforts are made doesn't really matter too much as long as positive changes are made to the game. Continually improving the community and game, whilst increasing profits is what any game company should aim for.

Just imagine if no one voiced their opinion and then GREE started scheduling syndicate wars for every game, every weekend in order to increase profits - 12 wars a month if you played 3 games. I don't think many players would like this but how would GREE know and change the system? By the community expressing their opinion of course - exactly what is happening now.

As great as that "every other event" suggestion may seem, in reality that would actually prompt more spending.

For example: top ten teams don't participate in say odd events... That opens up the field for the next 10 to battle for their vacated spots... Thus prompting those that normally would not spend to do so as they can reach the top spots now... Thus we have actually increased spending and created another layer of gold users.

We have discussed that option and rejected it as our first course of action. We have a game plan in place and are following it.

As long as your game plan involves the top teams not going batshiz crazy and spending absurds amount of gold after 24 hours then you might be on to something. If however, there is a large discrepancy in scores even within the top 3 teams you know that something has gone awry. The goal should be conservative spending to an extent while still remaining competitive.

Yes this is designed to stop most syndicates heavily participating in every event otherwise the the spending will stop as the tiers will solidfy. This is already happening. Gree has no choice but to make the events so frequent that its almost impossible to go hard in all of them just to mix up the game. If there is no hope of breaking into a higher tier and no chance of being knocked out of your then why spend gold?

You have to know that Gree is banking on the fact that you players won't leave or quit spending. Gree's complacency thrives on that fact. And they will continue to be complacent until you players show Gree who's boss.

Great news ! Just been informed of whats happening in our forum. Whatever happens after the initial 24 hours is irrelevant, the fact is that we are proving that we can stand together and hopefully make a difference to this game, and hopefully gree will take note. If they dont, then we take it to the next level untill something is done. Im all for it, much respect for the leaders of the top 10 !!!
