I say no. It runs up WD points in all the tiers. Predominantly free factions struggle even with a good game plan if they don't all save their gold for the event.

It's good on a rare occasion, as it can entice people into spending money and can lead to some becoming reliant on gold and it's also good for those adamant not to spend money on the game, so rather win/win.

I paid hard earned cash for my comp factory, I thought it was a big unfair when everyone was egging enough gold for free to get their own comp factory

I don't see a problem with some free gold from time to time, but I don't think it should be given at regularly timed intervals so all the freeloaders in this game can depend on it.:p
