Question:
I'm new and have only gone this is my 3rd case event, I'm also a freebie player.
I worked hard in the walkie-talkie event, and I progressed very quickly through the rewards, right up until I got to 9 walkie-talkies and then I went almost 48 hours without another walkie-talkie opening a case every hour on the hour (yeah I have no life).
What's the deal???? The only thing I can figure is that the odds drop significantly once you get 9 of the items.
Can anyone shed some light?

Marshmall and Heisenberg, how much gold did you need to spend?

Scratchface, the odds drop every time you open a case and get an item towards grand prize. It's about 2% odds between #9 and #10. I think the odds might be different," a lot better" if you drop gold at the very beginning as Marsh and Heisenberg did.

Odds drop a lot when you go higher. I think the odds if you are able to open the case are:
1st - 100%
2nd - 90%
3rd - 80%
4th - 70%
5th - 60%
6th - 50%
7th - 40%
8th - 100%
9th - 5%
10th - .5%

The last two are probably wrong, but it drops like a brick on 10th. Might be 10 percent for 9, 5 percent on 10.

It's 100% that you get the item IF you successfully open it, not that you open it 100% of the time.

Yeah, because I really test my connection before click. I always go to other map, then return to my hood, and only then, I click... need 4 attempts to get just one blade... I can't wait to see what takes to get 10...

I think it's 50% chance you open the case throughout...so 1/8 chance you get 3 fails in a row...odds that diminish are what you find inside after you open the case.

You can keep opening cases after you collect the tenth item of a collect-10, but you can only win cash or loot items. Depending on your stats (e.g. is a 15/11 Hitman's Sniper really going to help you, and is it worth betting $[your level x 100]?), probably not.

I don't believe you need an internet connection to visit a map. Trying visiting a rival's hood instead. Secondly, if the odds of a successful open is 99.3%, and the odds of getting the special item is 95% for the first item, that's 0.993 * 0.95 = 0.94335 = 94.335% chance of getting a special item on your cash open. At those odds, the odds of you getting three BLNTs is 0.001%. Trust me bro, it's your connection.

1st . i tap the "free" to open a case
then 2nd -6th is i decided to tap the one have $2,500

but as of now .. i open 3 case w/ $2,500 but there "nothing" inside . is this a normal scenario ??

Yes you can. And if the items you still get (i.e. enhanced bike, trick razor) are worth getting, then I encourage it because they are cheap and easy to get items...

Gold guarantees the open, not the item. So you'll get either the item or One of the booby prizes, but not a BLNT.

It only guarantees that you will get an item. Item = twin swords, cash, or loot items...

It seems the drop rate will decrease over time based on my last OT experience (153/400+ no 10th), good to push to the end earlier. Congrats BTW

After all the reports from gold users at the start of this thread on how they didn't have to spend as much, and other free users getting their 10th, I'd say the odds of getting 10th have been improved greatly. I got mine just a few minutes ago using cash only the whole time, "about 30 opens".

This explains why no modifiers on the Grand Prize. They made it much easier to obtain.

Edit: gun attack raised 3% in my profile though there are no modifiers on splash screen.

the odds for a succesfull openning are the same no matter if you have zero items or 9.
the odds for getting the item for previous events(if u had succesfull open) were :
1:100%
2: 90%
3: 80%
4: 70%
5: 60%
6: 50%
7: 40%
8: 100% (it's not typo)
9: 6%
10: 2%
the 8th item was 100% if you had succesfull open and it was tested by me at least in 5 events in a row.
but these WERE the odds until now

thats the problem your using gold its better not to use gold for number 10 try using cash option ive won 4 of the last 5 no gold

Sounds like a YMMV situation. I've used a mix of cash and gold in the past, but for this event, I went with all gold (13 tries in total; total cost: 195 gold, as I didn't pay for timer resets). No 'fillers' for me between case #9 and #10.

Seeing as you have 2 days left, it won't hurt to give the cash option a few more tries before using gold as a last resort.

Yep 3% gun attack buff.
I just checked my total bonuses between my two devices and 1 has an 18% gun attack buff and the other is still at 15% both are equally equipped except for the Mark 23.

Sounds like a connection problem maybe. Travel to a rival hood first to test it. 25-30 in a row simply doesn't happen on #6 unless there's something technically wrong.

If you're using free opens, use cash opens instead.
