What will happen?

I just started a new faction after letting go of leading a top 100 faction (due to lack of availability). I plan to keep my new faction more personal, maybe 10-15 members. my question is what will happen during the war? will we get paired with factions of same member count, amount of bonuses, average stats, median stats, average points per person, previous war stats, points per attack, level, or some other factor? I assume it will be a mix of some of these (but I assume not all of them), if you know or have an idea i would love to know so I can plan better.

At the start of WD it was said the game will try to match you up with a faction similar in combined attack and defense stats. That implies 10 players with 100k stats VS 20 players with 50k stats would be a fair match.
However, not always will a similar faction be available, so I would assume it picks one which has similar WD points.
