Shows up and 7 mins in (I assume it was 7 day event as I show 6:23:53) and the Top 250 is 35? And leaders at 494? Am I missing something here? And I have been on for 2 hrs so its not like it didnt pop really quick. At 7 mins this event would have Top 25 of like 5-6 in CC. You cant 494 boxes in 7 minutes. Cant wait to hear how this one happened.

And why the hell start it when many of us are at the worst part of the prestige where we cant get boxes easily. I know forcing us to PVP and rewarding those who finish early. How about expanding the overall event cycle instead.....

PvE. If you are still doing the assassin quest then killing off a unit should give you a box.
Else pvp a little later when people start accumulating boxes

It is still the list from the previous auction. Pendragon was second with 290 etc etc.
gree has not cleared the previous list and now they have a problem because the lists are contaminated with the new quest.

I agree that 3 events at once is pretty frustrating.

I just resorted to concentrating on the Boss event. To trigger the boss, I kill the mobs for the LTQ (which also, subsequently, gives me a box). Time my boss hits, and the 2nd or 3rd time I go to attack the boss, I open a box.

Wash, repeat. Only two more days for the LTQ anyway.

I read a post, you dn't have to play all events, but it would be nice if some events were not completely GEM based.., don't get me wrong, I use gems with this game, but they can exaggerate... the game should stay fun for the non-gem players also...

I know...but we can always stay positive ;) anyway, from the positive side... the assassins quest (normal mode) can easily be finished for the non-gem players.
Also good for them are the box/boss events because these are meanly about "luck", these also can be done for the free players, in my guild I have some free players who received the reward from the Zokon Daggerhowl event( they reached lv.28 even without using gold ( I use gold from lv.16).

All considered there are objectively seen still good chances for all ..

Does anyone know how you can get Gree to increase one's luck option. I know that I never win any of the events. I have spent both fake and real money on these events and can never get the end prize. It seems with all of my hard work camping, saving, maximizing boost buildings I should be the top of my game. Then comes along players that don't do any of these things and gets great prizes and better stats. What gives?

The only way to increase your chances of winning these events is to participate in all of them. Chances are you will get lucky sooner or later. You may not win all the time but odds are you won't lose all the time either, though it may seem like it.

Sounds nice, noticing that I already opened more than 47 boxes and received the message " better luck next time" makes me a little worried ;)...I probably should be more careful on the street, it seems I ran out of luck, hehehehehehe!

As long the cost stay below 5K for opening the box, I just keep opening them, who know luck turns around again :)
( Just need to raid and attack some rivals a bit more :D)

I have tried every hour on the hour since it started with the exception of when I am sleeping and have opened exactly 5. 4 twin blades and one unit.... I hate these things. I would use gems but the rewards are so random and non guaranteed to get me to the end game I don't bother. Just luck and patience on this one.

I have opened about 30 boxes now. I have received all of the units. The Trojan horse was my first unit. I opened about 15 boxes with gold at first. I received 2 units that way. I then opened about 10 boxes using Gems. That's when I received Pelios. since then I have been opening boxes for free. So out of about 30 boxes. I think I have received 9 Daggers, 11 Units, and 10 "sorry try again"

We still have 5 days left, so time enough I think, I finished the LTQ (H) (needed some gems to do the last part)... and for Zokon, I still need 1, but till now not received.

For the box event, the reward is nice. (stat increase of approx.. 15K), I just see how it goes and keep opening every hour a box, the more we open, the more chance we have to get a reward :) ....

In about just under thirty gold opens I have gotten three of the four worst units and six daggers and nineteen Sorry!s. Considering the stats of the unit you can get from this event, I'm sticking to free opens, because the money would be better spent on Blackrock Battering Rams. I've spent the equivalent of six Blackrock Battering Rams getting Karkinos who is a 134/110. So, I've traded in six 148/95 units for one 134/110 unit. Absolutely horrible trade.

Yes. With quest item you get, your chances to get another one go down. This is why people can storm to 8 or 9 in the collect 10 ones and then go a long time before seeing another one. For the Valentines Day one, I got 9 within the first day and a half and then didn't the 10th one until just as the event was ending.

using only free or gems, I have attempted about 50 boxes, and have 3 units and 7 swords.. I am no where near anything with this event. Following the idea from an above poster, I'd rather use the money to buy cannons, and enjoy the 'sorry try again' with my free attempts.
If anyone wants, I have over 200 boxes available to open. Maybe you will have better luck opening them than I have had.

@ GREE and all who noticed,

I have an issue with the leaderboard!
While I'm opening almost every hour a box, I also check how many swords are required to enter the top250!
Now I noticed that every time the required quantity of swords change, yesterday before I went to bed, I needed 10 swords, now without doing anything I need suddenly 9 again, before that I needed 13 ( without having more swords myself)!! I also still question if the swords in the ranking are real, I assume that in case the people in the leadersboard really have that many swords, that they probably also are visiting this forum, because for having so many swords, a lot of gems are required and we can assume that all of them have won the main reward?

I'm further not complaining, I have 16 swords and 6 different units, I only wonder about the leadersboard...

I've used no gems for this event, have 16 swords, 24 units and the reward unit, and leader board shows I need 10 swords to the top 250. There are folks using gems to open for sure and there are no honor or gold rewards like I've experienced from other box events, so the leader board seems about right.

I have to say that I have been doing a lot better since switching from gold opena to free opens. I've gone from having 1/8 with no duplicates of the units to having 6/8 including a few duplicates.

Glad to hear folks are getting lucky! I still need 2 more units, the Amazon and the ...Kukaburra, or whatever! Funny/sad thing is, I have 9 if not 10 Trojan Horses!! I'm happy to get units because my army needs good units, but I'm just astonished at how many of one unit I've gotten.

Cross your fingers for me, this is my 3rd or 4th week playing, 3rd event and I came a single tonic away from getting the Skilled Apothecary and a single unit away from getting Zarkon (Darn you Remi!!) and I can only hope I have better luck this time :) Been using money to open 'em all. I have 20 gems I'll use probably once the event gets down to the nitty gritty!

If you only have 20 gems, save them for the LTQ - use them early in that when the units are one hit to max out the return on investment. At least that is what I would do! And welcome to the game!
