For units that say that they are strong against air or ground, or whatever, does anyone know what benefits these give you? Ive always wondered what the game mechanics for those units are. Anyone know? Thanks

Someone has to know this right? I'm interested in the answer as well.

From memory CCM stated that the "Strong Against" factor MIGHT give one person an advantage over another on an attack or a Defence and that the value of that advantage was variable.

I seem to remember that the advantage was UP TO 25% but what was never explained was the "OF WHAT" part or if having hundreds of strong against units (even if they did not make it into your attack or Defence army) meant you were more likely to get a better roll of the strong against dice.

Guesswork here, but I believe that having a lot of Strong Aginst units in your army regardless of if they battle or not does give people a potential boost when it comes to a match up.

Thanks Q.
I'm trying to figure out if that could play a part in some strange individual battle results in the current WD event.
Seems like its a widespread problem though.

Strong against air, for example, means they diminish your opponents air defense stats. So the more you have, the weaker you make your opponent.

Mistergreen & q raider are right. From what I remember each strong against you bring, it will weaken a single enemy unit by25%(probably starting with the weakest enemy unit)
So it would seem it is about quantity .

But the real question : can anybody confirm if it actually works ?

Thanks guys, that helps a little....i have so many questions about game mechanics so even though these are mostly theories and no real facts from the creators, its better than nothing. I guess it wouldnt be smart for them to explain everything to us anyway.

How do you know which is a "Strong Against" unit?

On iOS you can check the 'Strong Against' status of units by clicking on them in the store. On Android as far as I know you can't see that info.

Does anybody know where I can find an up to date list of all 'strong against' units?

And an analysis about the 'strong against' factor : http://guidescroll.com/2013/03/modern-war-strong-against-analysis-and-suggestions-guide/
