Requirements:
- unknown so far, but it seems likely about the same as last LTQ. See the next post for additional requirements for prestige mode.
- you will need a lvl 7 barracks (infantry) to buy flame thrower soldiers
- you will need to access the Military Base.
- I am trying to put approx energy requirements in the higher levels.. it's a rough calculation I'm doing, NOT perfect. It could be mistaken ;)

NEW: the level requirements to unlock maps have been updated to be lower. That is to say, you used to need lvl 42 for normal mode and lvl 57 for prestige mode. These maps are now all unlocked at a level lower than 40. Lvl 40 appears to be needed to do the ltq.

Gold spent is down at my current progress. I have 1200 energy, and so far all energy refreshes have been the full +1000 energy.

Requirements additional to normal mode:

10 box event combined with PVE quest to get the cases. Gonna be massive energy hogger me thinks. Could be interesting. Least they are getting original. Stat inflation here we come. Unit then concrete every other like last LTQ.

Safe droprate appears to be about 1/25ish? 3 safes in one bar at early part. First open was chip.

And thanks Devin, gonna help me decide how far to go. Starting non gold this time. A lesson I learned the hard way in KA. Be careful about getting sucked too deep into these unless you got thousands of gold lying around. Burn your energy and wait for spenders to flush it out. Least you dont lose energy above and beyond energy need to hit like mobs in KA

You are seeing the beginnings of IPH becoming only useful for faction gold contributions. These quests gonna devalue everything that came before while sucking people dry. Pay to play. I am just under 3 months into KA and my atk is over 300K. This is the future most likely as this is 2 events like this in a month. Went from 28/35 before end of last war to 87/98 before this event started (ie 2+ weeks).

These quests gonna devalue everything that came before while sucking people dry. Pay to play. I am just under 3 months into KA and my atk is over 300K. This is the future most likely as this is 2 events like this in a month.

And the third with 305/122. This is ridiculous. Now I wish I would have just decided to do this one instead of the last one.

No splash screen for ltq... Just blew 4k energy on hidden missile base- command hq looking for crates for collect 10 event. Didn't notice the ltq haha oh well

I'm new to this forum, yes I did read the FAQ and ran through most of the newbie topics.
However there was nothing about LTQ, what does it mean? It's probably something obvious that I just don't get lol.
Also, I don't really get how this event works. Should I do the missions listed in Devins first post more than once? Because when I did that nothing seemed to happen.

Just done some missions in trafficker base, got given the D22, saw it in my inventory, went to my base to see if the next mission would unlock and now the D22 is gone and the next mission won't unlock.

I did the same thing. I was saving my energy all day. When I saw it was a crate event, I moved on to my next mission. I blew over one thousand energy before I noticed. Oops!

On a mission around suspicious village i got a unit called Maven (infantry 400/400 or so)
When i looked at it in inventory, and when i attacked someone it showed " owned: 3"
But after game restart only one was left.

Anyone else experienced this bug?

Last time some higher missions took a few refills to do.This info is not going to be easy to keep and move forward with any progress. Check the MW spreadsheets. With the target you can find out the energy yourself if you need it. Someone could volunteer to put it up but I am in boss fights in CC and war in KA otherwise I would.

Thanks in advance :)Long Term Quest. It started in Kingdom Age. And basically its in MW and CC is next. Its basically a huge money grab by Gree. Massive stat inflation will be the result. It is essentially pay to play in its purest form. Non spenders will get some units but every spender will get more and the gap will get bigger. What it does do is allow newcomers who are spenders to close the gap on anyone they outspend. It will also make IPH obsolete for anything other than faction contributions as there will be no new cash units. Apparently something about it being hard to code...............

And if you doubt me go check out KA. How many of you had 300K attk/def in MW after 2.5 months? My comparable (same point in time to the day as I started both same day) MW pre the first quest was 28/35.

Yeah this event is the ultimate camper beater, since usually campers just wait for chest events and do the bare minimum to get a chest and get decent units.
Now the bare minimum is quite high to get a crate, and with the exception of the collect 10 prize, the crate rewards are very weak compared to the quest loot.

I agree about IPH, I was annoyed I couldn't get all the LE buildimgs due to a problem with my account, but now my IPH is 800k and that is plenty to replace my meatshields and give to my faction. There are no cash units that are really worth having when you see how much better these quest units are.

And FYI for those who care assuming you started at 9pm and have normal energy regen

Normal regen assuming always at least little empty = 21600
Normal level energy used from Devin: 43,000

Difference = 21400 or 22 1000 stacks = 440 gold to finish normal. That means at least 860 for Heroic (assuming its same like last time) assuming you finish in last minute of time allotted. So minimum spend is 1300 to 1400 if same quest line and if they follow the KA model (more energy used on Heroic then non) will be higher.

Cheers Devin, i nearly stopped til i read your thread and realised i was 2 missions from the end.. Thinking of doing it second time around with no gold. See how far i get in the time limit. Its put a lot on my def attk stats,and i levelled up. The total unit haul was better than spending cash on the war and getting 3 mediocre units. 1 truck load and 1 small amount (250) did it with gold to spare as the level up gave me a full refill at 4,000 energy.

The cases are also available from attacking rivals. I just got 2 more that way.

It would only get you 2160 energy or less than 2 refills (40 gold vs 50 gold to switch and 50 to switch back). Obviously prize for the current box event is +1 so would be 4/min which is actually pretty decent if you assume these events are going to happen every month going forward. Would save you 140-160 gold an event (assuming 5 days) if you have the patience.

Around a Vault. I used Gold to both resetting and opening, and burned 100 or so to Stamina refills to get the boxes. First 7 came in a row, 8th was very tricky and 9th popped right after it and 10th was about six or seven opens after that. :)

You need to plan that out......You cant plan it out as my air building upgrades alone are a 3 days longer than the event and dont even mention I had a casualty upgrade for the WD event going when the event started (34 hrs out). The land and the construction part is easy and will be done in 2 days.

I had no intentions of ever upgrading any of the normal buildings (I did port to 8 as I am UK). Elites were in process as I had need. I saw zero need before 2 weeks ago to upgrade any of them. I was never going to build a unit from the normals and and I dont care how many casualties you might take in PVP event to knock them down. Frankly it would have been stupid prior to two weeks ago to upgrade them. AND Greed knows it. Why they structured the event this way. Force people to do things they wouldnt otherwise potentially spending gold. You think the surprise ending was really a surprise? No it was a way to force another wave of building upgrades especially for newer gold players like me who will just grin and bear it.

Wont get caught short again, going 4 maps out for upgrades as I figure that is as far as they can reasonably go without excluding huge parts of the player base. At least for the next couple months...

McDoc Method is hitting the "crates" in first 12 hrs. Get as many as you can by PvE and using the reset on timer. Seems to give out rewards faster in first 12 hrs. I tried it a few minutes ago. (even though it was later) I had about 15 safes and 2 chips. I used the reset timer and got 5 chips (with cash) in a row and then a few others after some junk. On 9 right now and sitting there for a bit. Used 150 gold. Here's the link...

I'm getting f*ckin angry here!

I got the Operation Wolf event yesterday, I completed the first two objectives even though it kept crashing and I only received cement and now the event is gone from my goal list and it will not return. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game multiple times. All that shows up is that Currough event or however it is spelled.

What is with this crap? I almost ALWAYS get the events at last one day late (counter always says 4 or 3 days left in an event whenever I get it) and now I don't even get to participate in this event due to Gree hiring retarded first graders to do their programming? WTF???

Fix this crap! I want my event, this crap isn't fair when everyone else is out there picking up indestructible units and I'm just stuck sitting here with a full energy bar!

Not sure this is correct. The rivals list pairs you with similar Level/Allies combination. It doesn't have anything to do with your attack/Defense strength. Now the faction battle will try and put factions together based on the factions attack/defense.

Yup. It's the difference in energy between prestige and normal mode. 65000-43000 = 22,000 energy

Basically, if you are/were reading the storyline narrative in the LTQ, you come to what should be the end of prestige mode (if it were a duplicate of normal mode). In this mission, you find that the threat from your enemies wasn't all that big after all... But once you complete the mission you get concrete as a prize, and it the storyline turns whereby you discover a threat that runs much deeper... You get new intel, which you need to peruse. Whereas normal mode maxes at a lvl 42 map, this new intel takes you to 4 or 5 new maps... Each step seemingly closer to finishing, until you finally complete the LTQ.

For those just clicking and not reading the narrative, it was just different missions with lots more clicks required ;)

This is all documented now... I simply didn't document the specific missions for about 6 hours. I did document the prereqs, gold/energy requirements, and total gains as quickly as I could so there would be no unpleasant surprises.

And dont care about having the units or not new rival list pair you with people as strong as you, So receiving those units will just give you a new rival list with stronger players... I read on a splash screen that if you finished Operation Wolf before Apr 26 u get some kind of cool unit...cant remember exactly what it was....so do you get it when you finished all mission or u have to wait till after the deadline (i.e Apr 27)?

I'm pretty sure the splash screen is advertising the final unit. It's the puma helicopter, and already identified in the walk through. You get the puma immediately.

If you see a different unit advertised, take a screenshot and post here.

Apparently you still have the old rivals list as the new list consists of people 10 levels above or below and any number of allies. CJ stated the new rivals list some of us have is based on matching up with people of similar stats, thus adding stronger units moves us against stronger rivals.

Could be your level and ally count. At L210 I can see down to L150 players and up to L250 players.

No problems, I'm good. The better question is this... I updated pre-reqs no less than 10 times, as I dug into exactly what lvls are needed. I had a pretty good idea that someone would inevitably have looked at a previous revision, and not see additional requirements and be surprised- so I tried to highlight the changes. Do you have any advice as to how i could identify that the reqs have changed? I was thinking about putting a version number or last edited time, but i decided those details are as easy to miss as the updated reqs in the first place. I finally decided to just update them, and hope people checked back often enough to see the edits.

No this started 2 events ago and I was at level 80 with 498 allies and I could see down to level 70 and up to level 100 and found people with as low as 4 allies. I am now level 100 with 498 and can see 5 levels up and down with any number of allies.

Really appreciate you doing these reports Devin, I truly hope you continue to do them for the rest of us mere mortals in the future. As someone who gets near to the end of the normal mode but only uses a little gold so never reaches prestige I find them really helpful so that I know when to stop or when to spend a little more gold to get that next big unit.

Maybe requirements in first line of first post then in brackets what stage of LTQ its updated at for example
REQUIREMENTS: level 7 war factory, level 6 airfield and your mums credit card for large amounts of gold(normal mode complete). Level 8 war factory and level 4 robotics(prestige mode and special ending complete)
