Should I go for boss 50

Just looking for opinions...

I just defeated level 45 tier 1. It cost me two med packs. I have 650 gold that i'm willing to spend but don't want to buy any more for this event. Also this event has put me into tier 2, and I plan on camping a while after this event. I feel like I might as well go for 50 but I'm worried that with the time left in this event I'll get stuck at 49 or something which would really piss me off. What would you do?

If I had only spent 40 gold on all levels up to 45 I'd keep spending to get Carrick's Sea Flanker 2517/2557 for the 50 boss prize.

Thanks guys I think I'm going to go for it. I started the event in tier 1 at level 23. So the way I understand it, although I'm now at level 30, I stay in tier 1 for the remainder of the event. My cash hits are doing 19k.
