The "new" gold bonus program is based upon the value of gold purchased as opposed to the number of vaults as follows:

$500 - 2500 Gold
$1000 - 15000 Gold
$2000 - 50000 Gold
$5000 - 125000 Gold + one "crate" item.
$10000 - 250000 Gold + one "event" item.

However many people playing Modern War, and other Gree games, are not based in the US. As such, our purchases will not be made in US dollars and we expose ourselves to the risk of missing a bonus tier based upon currency fluctuations, which can not benefit from.

Will someone please clarify the bonus program requirements for those of us who are scattered around the world and who will not be paying in USD? Do we need to check the exchange rate on the day and calculate it? Do we need to find out what Fx rate Apple are using? Or perhaps the helpful people at Gree could just guide us...

I don't know about the bonus program, but when you buy gold, it is much more expensive in € than in $ or in £.

FYI, Cost of gold in €uros:

50=4,49€ > represents as of today $5.86
110=8,99€ > represents as of today $11.73
240=17,99€ > represents as of today $23.47
650=44,99€ > represents as of today $58.70
1500=89,99€ > represents as of today $117,40

And it used to be much worse just a few weeks/months ago when €uros was stronger!

I think it is very unfair for European players. Maybe they should update their price list based on a more recent exchange rate...

Today's UK prices are:

£2.99 => $4.56
£6.99 => $10.66
£13.99 => $21.34
£34.99 => $53.38
£69.99 => $106.78

However, that's not the point of this thread - the point is to discover how the bonus program works... Gree? Anyone?

Forget the exchange rate it has no bearing on the programme in the slightest. The premise remains the same as it always has, difference now being they will include smaller purchases is all.

The cost of a vault is already altered in game dependant upon the iTunes account you log into. Eg. To receive 15k gold bonus in the UK you will have to spend £699.90 in a single month, doesn't matter how many purchases it takes as long as you hit the threshold.

So, in effect, the bonus program is for "X full priced vaults"?

Is a US vault $100 or $99.99? If the latter then the slight ambiguity of "5 full priced vaults + 5 cents" worries me slightly.

A Vault is 99.99

With that being said i see your Concern: 5 Vaults only equals 499.95 which means in theory you DONT qualify for the bonus as you havne't spent $500

In addition if there is a 20% sale and you buy 6 Vaults @ 79.99 and a Stockpile of gold @ 19.99 you have only spent 499.93.

The currency is easy enough to convert Based on Names for Euro just use the following:
Bag=5
Stash=10
Stockpile=20
Bank=50
Vault=100

However CJ would you please Expand upon this? I think it's only going to cause more problems....

I'm still in favor of returning to the old ways

It has been made clear sale vaults will still be counted as full price purchases, as it was in the previous system.

The issue with the missing few pennies is a different story and one I agree should be clarified, I would hope in the interest of avoiding erroneous summation from the purchaser they would continue as before.

Sorry but it has been made Clear to me that Sale Vaults will NO LONGER be counted as full vaults. (the Clarity came from CJ right after China)

They use to be but no longer. It is now off Dollars and NOT VAULTS.

I agree it needs to return to the old system....

Thief, you are right, it's on value now - not vault number. However, considering that a vault of gold costs $117-worth of euros and $107 worth of British pounds, it seems counter-intuitive that it would be based on the number of vaults that would have cost $2000 in the US, especially as the initial value and any sale values will not be immediately apparent to us.

Yes, apologies, you are quite right. I had confused myself scouring through my various emails to them about this. There will be all manner of thread about this next month when people expect to recieved their bonus but do not.

Ohh i agree i was just showing you what the full prices were (i rounded)

Stockpile=19.99
Bank=49.99
Vault=99.99

So you can make the calcualtions. It's easy enough to do but most can't do percentages easily (in the states at least). Basically the system was put into place to reduce the number of tickets. I fear it will only exponentially grow the numbere of tickets with all of the confusion.

I hadn't even though of the penny issue.

No worries they only sent me like 12 emails about it but the changes but the old system referenced dollars before as well in the same manner so it wasn't clear. It was a debate that caused me to find the actual answer.

I suppose I no longer have to wait for my 16 day old ticket. Based off of actual $$ amount not # of vaults. Dissaponted......again.
Thanks for the clarification.
