Update for modern war.

I have been told that there is supposed to be an update for MW. But I can't seem to find it on the app store. I have an Ipod 3rd gen and an iPad (not mine, brothers) but I can't use the iPad. So why can't I update MW? Also what does this patch fix?

I can no longer log n as of today saying need to update the newest version and I can't find it either someone please help. Maybe months lost.
