I really wish we could see more than just the Top Ranks. Who is behind me? Who is in front of me? Where are my friends at?

Strategic advantage to knowing what mark to aim for, and never being the mark yourself. :p

If you know guild positions at all times, it is not what Gree wants as it leads to less spending. So don't expect any change there (imho)

In one of the MW battles, we were sweating holding onto a top 25 spot as three factions were rotating at the 25 spot and many in the 15-25 range were making a huge push and we started dropping from the 15th spot and ended at 23.
Well it turns out, it wasn't factions at the 26th and 27th place trying to push in, it was the 23, 24, and 25 spot that were rotating around. When it was all said and done, the 25th place faction had over a 1 million point lead on the 26th faction. A bunch of needless spending happened that day because of the way the leaderboard is set up.

I don't see how it would cause less spending. You can see who holds the spots for brackets that award prizes and how much CP they have, knowing that tells you how much you should or need to spend to obtain or maintain a rank. Everything in between doesn't matter. If the 23rd spot had 5mil CP and the 25th had 3mil then obviously you already know there's no need to spend so much to keep your spot.

+1 Yup, I agree. We already know we locked top75 no matter what, and we know what we have to do to get top50. So seeing were others are at will change nothing for us. I just want to see how other guilds I can not see on the lists are doing for fun.

At first I didn't like not seeing everyone in the Top 50 or 100 or whatever. But then I grew to like the additional level of strategy it adds to the game. To be vying for a Top __ spot, and be a bit above that spot, you know exactly how much of a cushion you have. To be vying for that spot and be a bit below it, you know exactly how much ground you need to make up. If you fall/rise to fall exactly on the #__ spot, you lose that advantage and are playing blind but for the times you match up with someone nearby and see their point total at the end. IDK. I find it an interesting twist. At least I'm enjoying it while my guild is not in that blind spot, lol.

The fact that we can't see who is right behind us adds some suspense, which has it's ups and downs. In the middle of the event, you are just going for the next tier. But if I was right on the edge, with an hour left to go for battles, I would want to see if anyone could beat me out of the spot. Other than that, it isn't too big of a deal for me.
