I think how much you are enjoying the game right now depends on whether you are a free player or a gold player.

I can understand why the gold players are very frustrated. But to a free player like me. The glitches don't bother me that much. I don't have anything other than time invested in this game. And as such, it is just a game to me.

funzio. without a doubt. With funzio there was a more level playing field with gold and free players. Strategy played a part. With GREE the whole game is just all about gold. No strategy. Makes for a boring game. GREE did bring boss events which I like, but other changes have had a negative effect for sure.

I wasn't around when funzio was in charge but everyone else in my faction agrees with funzio being a better well organized company. I don't understand why GREE takes such big risks all the time. Two WDs in two different games at the same time. Why? And why have these two events on Easter weekend?

Support is a major issue but I will stop right here and not comment about it

I doubt you can credit funzio with the new innovations to this game. I've been playing since the start and factions would only work when u get over a critical mass of people to make it work. Factions, the wars, etc, would have been on the specifications since the start. They have a set program for when they role these things out. I just wish the glitches would be less often. Not really affected by them at the moment but will lay off the gold for a little while until they seem to be sorted out

Been playing before the rest of the world, I don't see too many differences. Communications have always been dismal except just before Funzio sold to Gree and for a short time after that.

But without exception any information about changes have never been forth coming and inquiries to what little support there is is slow because they are overwhelmed and staffed by kids reading from scripts who haven't had enough training on the product or worse, Viet is just a keyword bot.

Product testing has also always been a dismal failure, beta testers report problems yet the changes are rolled out anyway with the reported issues unfixed.

And they don 't listen to their customers.....but the sad reality is that as long as folks are still willing to spend money then nothing is ever going to get fixed...

It doesn't really matter what you say on these forums, Gree couldn't care less about our opinions....they are looking at the income stream...very short sighted. I suspect players will drop out after this last war fiasco!

i like Gree better solely for the innovations they have brought to the game.

After China, it is very evident to EVERYONE that they are a sales oriented company and not a customer oriented company. Getting a war in before the end of quarter is one thing, but to make sure it is on Easter Weekend, when EVERYONE is upset about it, just kind of seems like a lack of attention to the customer.

Wasn't around when funzio ran things, so no idea there. what I will say is that this last event has has made me and my fraction not want to participate in the WD events anymore. The amount of money needed to be successful now is ridiculous. Our faction is becoming a free faction and happy with that decision. A lot less stress and lower credit card bills, so excited!

Like AO, i've been here since the start and i say funzio is better but only slightly better. To be fair to GREE, we don't know where funzio would of gone with the game had they remained. Some of these gold milking events are only reasonable to do once a player base of spenders has been established. So either of the companies could of brought us to where we are now.

Obviously during the time of funzio, as a free player i was having a much better time. I was near the top, only to be beat by the few dozen heavy spenders. Everyone tripled in stats apparently when i left the game for 2-3 months. Now since then the game revolves around gold more than ever and the stats are even easier to get, being a free player is horrible. We are nearly useless in almost every aspect of the game other than to make donations to factions. This is GREEs doing and so i'd have to dislike them for that.

Support has always been bad or mediocre depending on the timing. Little difference between the two companies. If these new events are solely GREE's ideas and funzio had no part in them, i'd have to say funzio had it better. A more balanced game and i would assume they would of came out with some more events that both gold and free players had a chance at winning. People complained about the crate events, but a good amount of lucky/dedicated free players could complete it. Free players could also win the PvP events and the IPH events. All these newer things like auction events, WD, boss battles etc cannot be won without spending hundreds of dollars (less for boss events but still cannot be won for free in the higher levels unless you've already spent the gold to have the stats to do so).

When people download a free game from the app store, especially a strategy game. They do not expect the only strategy for success to be to spend thousands of dollars. Funzio > GREE

Support is slow. It seems that the tickets that are easy to handle are fixed and the ones that take time to investigate are being ignore or just a slow process until someone at GREE finally has the time to look into the issue at hand. This isnt a cheap game to play and with customer loyalty, you would expect company loyalty as well and at least answer a ticket and not just say specialists are going to look into it. Hopefully in the future, GREE invests and gets more people in support. If you want to make the game this expensive, you have to get more people behind support. Take gold bonus for example, its all on that poor woman who has to read every single ticket about the bonus and reply back to customers. Thats not good for employees' health.

When Funzio ran things free players actually stood a chance; now, forget it.

Gree is short for Greedy.

Their short-term goals and greed is making inflation untenable, which means new players stand little chance unless they spend gold, which is fine I guess, but it limits the potential pool of newer players who might spend less, but be around a long time versus those rare few with more money than sense.

This game is nothing but the haves and haves not and it was nothing like that before. Good at first, but who knows what's going to happen long-term when the current crop of whales gets bored or disenfranchised.

They need a larger lower-end to filter more people up. The free players now are just fodder and either don't realize it or don't care. I use to see a lot of "tough" free players. Nonexistent now.

Good points jmc, but I think if funzio was still around they would of added more events and maybe started doing factions as well, because remember they were the ones who started most of the events! As far as free players go l, yea I have to agree with you on that as well! Gree patched so many things that helped free players out, and as a result only made this game playable for the higher levels by only buying gold.
