As promised, here is the analysis from completing LTQ. I hope cj54/Gree take note of and consider implementing the recommendations. I also hope others who have finished to either end of normal mode, or hero mode, post their analysis too.

MW LTQ Analysis

Total gold spent: 1,320

Total levels gained: 7

Total units lost: greater than 2,553

Net change in A/D (after spending valor made in LTQ to replace valor units)

Starting A/D: 172,612 / 205,758
Finishing A/D: 163,831 / 203,123

Net loss: (8,781 / 2,653)

Significant units lost
571 Expert Attack Drones lost
65 Stealth Bombers lost
50 Brigand Lightnings lost
41 Elite Water Cruisters lost
20 Transport raiders lost
19 Super Hornets lost
10 Railgun Destroyers lost
9 Aircraft Carriers lost

Opportunity losses:
- moved my valor missions significantly forward, so valor is harder to get
- leveled up beyond 151, so boss events are a misery now.

Recommendation to Gree for this event:

This event was unfortunately tainted by 3 negative factors: (a) the event splash screen did not indicate that you needed to complete both normal and hero mode to obtain the largest prize; (b) the time was significantly reduced due to technical problems; and (c) unit losses are ridiculous and caused a likely reduction in stats. Potential gains consumed by replacing units. With respect to the above, I recommend this:

1. Gree address technical and splash screen issues prior to next event (in progress per CJ54)

2. Gree attach a 20% 'casualty reduction' bonus to the Dominion Tank (won after finishing the LTQ in normal mode), since the most valuable units were lost first. Matching a casualty reduction with the significant casualties in this part of the event seems logical.

3. Gree attach a 30% lower upgrade cost bonus to the Dominion Ultra Tank (won after finishing the LTQ in hero mode), to assit players build their IPH so they can afford replacement units and defensive structure upgrades.

4. 2000-3000 unit losses is ridiculous. I appreciate the casualty rates didn't change (per CJ54), but when attacking unit and defensive structures there is clearly a different calculation happening. I won't argue the calculation is right or wrong, but from my perspective 2553 casualties is too many (and no, I'm not saying 0 is the right answer either - I do expect to lose units)

5. Be careful with quantities, especially of 24 hours buildings. It was horrible searching for munitions depot's and military markets.

Recommendation for Players:

1. You need 50 stamina to maximize gold.

2. You're going to see casualties in a whole new way.

3. I came out behind ... I expected I would, and treated this more as an interesting 'full scale beta'. I didn't feel I'd be able to credibly provide advice to Gree without completing the full run.

4. I went above 500 allies since at my bracket I find there are more rivals there, and it allowed me greater chances of finding rare buildings.

5. The levels I've gained will essentially preclude me from winning the 35 boss event prizes unless gree changes the 151+ tier and/or I recoupe my a/d losses and am able to improve. This lost opportunity is significant.

Nice analysis Devin, and by the way, my understanding is they did change the +150 tier so that it is easier.

They just increased the range I believe, so 201 and up is now the harder version.

Good work Devin.
I never got that far. I was more pissed off looking for targets to hit. Munitions Stockpiles take 24 hours to be ready. So once they're hit they're out of action till the owner repairs them, then it's 24 hours to be hittable. There weren't enough targets to hit. Unless you got in early, you're gonna spend hours looking for targets. If they're gonna do this, then at least have targets everyone can go after; 12 hours or less collect times.
The early bird gets the worm. Everyone else spent too much time searching, giving up and not getting to the point of having to spend any gold.
Gree Fail on this one.

Devin, thanks for your efforts and input during the event. You saved me about 2000 unit losses.

Man! Great analysis and recommendations. You obviously put in a lot of work to provide this information. Thanks for your efforts.

The amount of top tier indestructible units makes it very tempting to participate in this event, but when you factor in the casualty loss and weigh in the opportunity cost, it becomes rather questionable whether or not it's worth it in the long run.

To devote all that time, energy and money towards completing an event, and to finish with a massive net loss in A & D speaks volumes. It's no question this event needs some restructuring, hopefully Gree listens and the next event they address these major issues.

I noticed they updated the splash screen mid-event to include the heroic mode wording. Not that most would even know what that meant without playing one of the other games first.

Hopefully they will implement the PvE-type LTQs here, those are much more interesting and obviously have much lower cas rates. If they do another PvP type, they must remove the 24 hour buildings, and decrease the counts as well.

Huge effort! Thanks. And sound analysis. I got to lvl 12 in hero mode and I agree with most points but see Gree's point of view in casualty rates. Loosing 10k in att/def stats only to make up 5k in att/def by units that is non- destructable is a very good deal. this event allowed low gold players like me to do hard work and catch up to high gold players with indestructible units. I have 1.5mil iph so replacing lost units is no problem except for valour units (lvl 10 hero units gives 40% more valour so all good)

Thanks Devin! The admins better take note. So much different than all the complaining in most threads. This is solid info they can build off of.

Amazing work Devin congrats to you.

I stopped at level 21, i spent literally 24 hours spanning 2 days to find munitions stockpile for what? A stupid grey piece of slab concrete. Because of this i had only 3 hours to find 43 natural gas plants and 46 fights which i did in 2 hours.

GREE or CJ - What i would like to be implemented in the next Event:

1) Lower the amount of each challenge per level.
2) Lower causality rate.
3) Don't have challenges based on income-based buildings which have a regen of like more than 12 hours, if you have to then reduce the numbers we have to find for those income-based buildings.
4) Get rid of Hero Mode: Majority of us couldn't even finish Normal Mode let alone Hero Mode. (I wont even get into the false advertisement of the splash screen)
5) Give us more than just 1 measly concrete for completion of a level.
6) Make all rewarded units indestructible.
7) Would it hurt to award gold for some levels?

Naa, most things in modern war are solvable, though may take time, and you may need to adapt your strategy. From this I've definitely had to go back and reconsider how I may want to proceed.. Some new strategy, some old. I'm sure it'll be fun.

I'd deliberately left my cash on hand in the pictures.. For those that would say it cant be done... saving 400+ million is totally doable, even when you raid and attack as many people as you can find (ie put yourself on a ton of rival news feeds), and when everyone is raiding and attacking as hard has they can.

The only thing concerning is the boss events.. I have insufficient knowledge about how much health the lvl 35 boss has at 151-200. I used to be able to breeze through 35- and would like to be able to plan for the next boss event. And even this... They day had to come when I got over lvl 151 anyhow, so needed to figure out how to do it anyhow.

Well done Devin,

Your list helped me to decide at stopping at level 20 hero mode.

Good analysis, I went the other way and dropped right down to 30 allies.

My loses were a lot less, hats off to you sir!

My loses were a lot less, hats off to you sir!

I'm curious about that strategy also...I decided against but its a great idea. My fear was the rivals list would be super static with small number or allies, and would therefore be near impossible to find sufficient rivals to get the hard to find 24 hour buildings. Can you comment on the rivals list you saw? What lvl are you?

Thanks,
Devin

Hi Devin,

I am lucky to be on the old rival list so dropping would save me the lose of units ( although I still lost a high valor unit on non money buildings at 1 unit every three hits - shipyards etc)

I was at level 80 I think, I had the non exploded rival list and I find that there are more buildings that arent protected or emptied as much when dropping allies as apposed to gaining, when gaining I would also open myself out to attack and my stats are only 50 - 60k at the moment.

All the buildings are down there in plentiful supply but when your looking for 100 military markets its hard finding them ready for raiding!!

Shoot any other questions and I will answer buddy
