new event top 250 until april 30

I had a popup today in cc with an announcement about "a new top 250" valid until april 30 with an amazing prize 6000/1500 or something like that.
What is this about?

They increased the level cap to level 250. If you reach level 250 before April 30th, you get a unit.

What was the current level cap, then, 200? What is the average att and def stats at those high levels?

Did everyone start from 200 or did some people, having never stopped spending energy, shoot straight up to... say lvl224 when it came into effect?

I hit 198 right before I got the popup. I use 10,900 Energy a day and 250 or so stamina a day. This gets me a level every 2-5 days depending on whether I'm maxing a map or doing goals on a new one. Also, the time to the next level is increasing now that I've stopped adding more energy. 4050 Energy refilling in 8hrs54min. I figure 16 levels would be possible in 32 days of non-stop grinding.

20gold/1000 Energy. 11x32x20=7040 gold to move up 32 levels and another 7040 gold to get to 48 levels.

~15,000 gold to get me to level 250 by April 30th... And I have to grind. ~10 vaults.
~14 vaults to not have to work for it.

(I have 90 stamina so I would be able to use more if robbing didn't require restarts on Android)

This is not designed to get campers moving. You can't just start playing and hit this, it requires some serious dedication and a not insignificant amount of gold.

It's designed to get all the really big players into the new shark tank, quickly, and give the small guys who stumbled into theold shark tank a chance to hold back.

that's plus 1 million.
Indeed impossible without gold...
