I agree, these casualties are going to ruin play. And when play isn't fun, we all take our toys and go home. That wouldn't be good for anyone. Such a great game, please heal it before it dies. Many of us would be sad to leave, but I'm sure we would soon get interested in something else that requires real money for fake money to buy virtual friends. :(

Signed. My PVP income has dried up. The stats I worked so hard to build, including spending gold, are shrinking daily. And yesterday my faction members started making donations on my behalf. I was one of the strongest members in my faction. Soon I'll be that guy we all love to discover in war...high level, low defense. So Gree, either fix it, or tell us you can't fix it and I'll cash in my chips.

I haven't done a single attack or raid since Egypt, We're sitting out China, I might as well quit playing because there is NO ONE I can attack worth anything. It's just not fun to play anymore. Think I'm going to burn whatever gold I have left on next event and wrap it up.

I guess I am a bit of the odd man out here.

We all want a war game, where there are no casualties, where all we have is indestructible units and nobody loses???? I am sorry that is not war game, that is more like a snow ball match.

As it is, I wish GREE would limit the number of gold units that any player could bring into battle to say 60% of the army. I mean eventually everyone is going to have full gold armies and nobody will lose any units in battle. In fact, I think there should be more losses -- that would be more realistic.

I have been playing the China superiority event and I lost valor and cash units like crazy. I didn't like it, but to me that was just part of the business of war.

My only complaint is I would like to be able to find better valor payoffs, so I can replace the valor units I lost.

You just have to comb through more and more pages to find people you match up against and get your stats healthy enough to not be easy pickings...

I'd love the old system where only similarly leveled people of similar stats saw each other in the rivals list but Gree doesn't want that for us players

170ish and it happened back when I was 120s and on my second account it happened at level 35 (I didn't start the second account until months after change happened on my main account).

I think it was implemented when they started working on the faction stuff to keep people from only having access to people of the same level and therefore creating factions that were locked into the same level range for players for recruiting....

My rivals list at level 14 has up to 80% if not more of my rivals stronger than me. I'm in the neighborhood of 3-4000 att/def. I seem to have the campers from hell rivals list when I've only been playing on this account for several weeks. There are people with anywhere from 5 to 1000 allies and up to 9 and 10k attack/def,it's absurd. The rivals on this list are more powerfull than the rivals on my other accout at level 23. It's annoying because only a few weeks ago I was at the same level on this second account and my rivals list was nothing like this.

No, thats called the whale zone... Lvl 130 and above see everyone up to lvl 200. Dont know what happened to your llp.

Can someone explain what the new algorithm is and what the problem is? I am not noticing much of a difference in my rivals list. On maybe every 5th refresh i see guys up to 200+, but the majority are +/- 5 of my level.

It just hit me. I understand the timing and reason for no answer. The answer is going to be that we are in the minority because there system is showing an increase in PvP. Of course it will, that's why they ran a pvp LTE. Now the numbers will show this was a good change. We call this finessing the numbers to show a desired outcome.

Rivals with between 2x and 8x attack and defense stats as the norm. Feel like a punching bag. Camping doesn't work, keep getting attacked by much stronger players. Getting stronger doesn't work, as keep getting matched with higher players.

Is there any further point in trying to play the game, because it is not fun anymore.

I have an HLP and an LLP. My LLP has 23 allies and had his base sacked for over 6 mil today by someone with 380 allies. (yes, I understand collect your buildings. Sudden change in work schedule)

My HLP is level 140 with 350 allies and 130/180 stats. I can't beat 1/10th of the people on my list now. Here is what my list looks like.

People 60 levels above me with 2-50 times my stats. Yes 50!

Maybe I should explain why I signed this. I am fine with a larger variance in rivals. I also understand the necessity for a 'shark pool' as long as there isn't a balanced distribution of players. I won't mind seeing +-5 or even +-10 on my rival list. My stats are strong enough to strike up and also defend some hits from above. There will always be the bigger guys no matter how narrow the bracket is.

What bothers me is that fact that I still see +-1 level while getting hit constantyl from players several levels above. Thats just bad design and gross imbalance.

I am in the 70-80 bracket by the way.

Hey, if enough of us "sign" the petition, they have to listen, right? I say once we are over level 100, we should be able to implement a search for rivals. Everyone over level 100 is on the same playing field; We take the same amount of units to battle.

I don't really care how high their a/d goes, but please include some players whose unboosted defense is lower than my boosted attack. That's all I ask.

Ever since passing lvl 128 almost no more targets I can handle on my list. 90% Are big guys I could not possibly take on. Where is the challenge in that ? Massive unit losses, hardly any valor pts to gain, could not maintain my stat levels during superiority event and lost more during China event.
Players need challenges to keep em going, Gree!
It got even worse when passing lvl 150! The lowest adversaries I can find are now at level 133.
Nevertheless, I read on fora players still finding and fighting low level players, but also with major losses!
No challenge = no fun = I sadly quit this - by itself - nice game. Thanks Gree for messing it up!

If you're getting beat up because of the battle list changes, it means you haven't spent enough gold. Either that or you need to camp. I don't think Gree will revert back to the old system. Players need something to encourage them to spend more money on this game.

First off signed Knightrider, to add to your quote about people who have had this casulty rate all a long ? Well all I can say is complete and utter cods wallop! You would never continue to play a game that takes away anything from 20 to 400 A/D in one attack or raid for a gain of next to nothing further more you would in no way invest real money buying gold for such crap gameplay. Lets be really honest here it's a free game that you generally play when your bored and have some time to lose, but with the interaction of friends, foes etc adds a great eliminate of fun, there are thousands of games to choose from and next to none of them have the problems that modern war team give us daily so I give a simple suggestion to gree/modern war team simply turn off the game do a proper update and let everyone get back to enjoying a simple but effectively enjoyable game. It will take less than a couple more days for people to realise that losing such casualties has bored them and will decide to start playing a new game I'm nearly there already and so is all the members in my faction. 3 DAYS AGO COMPLAINT MADE NO RESPONSE TO SOLVING IT AS OF YET !! I LOVE WD, even though it gets harder & harder (read more expensive) each event to simply maintain a tier. I actually changed from free player to medium-heavy gold for battles. This casualty change, however, will make me stop altogether if it continues. I lost over 30 Brigand Lightning units in the last 24 hours - all while I was busy fighting wars in KA!!!! These were from less than 10 attacks on my base while I was away. My stat gain from our faction's WD success has just been wiped out! Each of those units used energy and gave xps, causing me to level up faster, which decreased the points I could get with each hit in battle events.

If Gree's goal was to make me stop using Energy & Stamina altogether -- it worked. However that only leaves collecting my cash and participating in battles. There is nothing else to do. I have no interest in spending my cash on gold or my time on battles to win prizes that I cannot use in-game because to do so drops my overall stats.

What we have is a total and complete fail.

I wonder if it's too late to ask them to move the rest of the March bonus over to KA?
