Can not see any faction options

Transferred my game to my iPad 1 (First generation iPad), but I only see "News" and nothing about "Faction" or "Join a Faction". I am trying to join my old faction, and have the faction code. Is there a reason why I do not see anything about a faction on my iPad 1? Is it because I am using an iPad 1? I have a ticket into Gree Support, hopefully they can help me join my faction. Thank you for your help.
