What?

Am I missing something here or is 287,848 a bigger number than 293,700? Gree better get out the abacus.

He might not have updated his game to show his boosts. He might have had 350k defense

He might not have updated his game to show his boosts. He might have had 350k defenseThat wouldn't matter. The server sends the defensive stats he used.
Skill points maybeAren't those part of the calculation now? We've seen players with few big units and gigantic defensive stats (due to skill point cheats), no?

In theory, the attack value versus the defense value would be the result of the algorithm taking into account bonuses and the random variance. The display would be expected to show the end result of that algorithm.

Again, in theory, the highest value should be the prevailing side. Until this recent series of events, which is not unique to any individual, this has been normal result of an attack - Highest value wins, whether attack or defense.

Since this is widespread it would appear that it is systemic, not player account oriented. That would seem to place it server-side.

The Boss event attack values have also changed and have become somewhat randomized where before they were fixed value, presumably based on the raw attack score which was a constant. It is apparent Gree devlopers have fiddled with the algorithm to either "improve" some previous issue or to introduce some new feature. There may be some bonus that was tweaked, such as casualty reduction that is working, but the display is not properly reflecting the actual final values like a bonus that is applied after the initial result. Display is presenting the first set of values before the last bonus is applied instead of after it is applied.

Either way, it would seem they have broken more than they fixed in this case. Watch out for WD Battle for China attacks. This will throw an entirely new dynamic into that mix.

Regardles of what is happening, this is not a good thing for Gree support. I see lots of tickets and complaints.

Same happens for me!

I believe those numbers are supposed to indeed reflect all calculations EXCEPT for one thing.

It seems that number is your raw stats + your base bonuses + the skill points multiplier. What it doesn't seem to apply is your faction bonuses. My fully boosted stats including faction bonuses is more than double what my battle results stats are. That seems to me the missing factor and reason why people win or lose despite the numbers they see. Anyone else back this up?

did anyone of you ever won more than 2 consecutive fights with so close stats? skill points and the mysterious random element come to play so i would think the fight result is quite normal. next fights would probably a win, loss, win, win, loss and so on

Yesterday I attacked someone with a score of 900 as their profile defence stat.

The battle report then showed them having 8000 as a defence statistic...

Surely a bonus of 1000% isn't possible with any bonuses/skill points.

I also won a fight when my stats showed 137k , his showed 160k

Maybe there is a problem with the faction bonusses ,they are showed in stats when attacking rivals but dont count in that attack? Maybe that is why you see those big diferents.

Ladies and gents..
Math = Math.
Regardless of this boost or that boost..when you do the math 125259 never loses vs 125258.
I keep attacking and my score is the same whether I win or lose, no more big swings 125A to 90A the next try.
Even when I lose (mathematically) I am winning money in Raids...
So either the math is way off, they fixed something that was not broken, or the display for some reason is not resetting (the underlying numbers are correct but the display is not catching that..

either way until it is resolved, not spending a penny for AU...

The only losses I am getting are to the clowns and there buddy's you know the ones with all the units of one kind I wonder there seem to be a lot popping up now with the new rivals list

I had it happen twice that I've noticed and have screen shots of both. My faction bonuses seem to be factored into the equation making me believe the same is true for the defense. I have all factors accounted for, though I still see a swing in my attack which I assume comes from the random dice roll. Seems like an odd issue to have as one number is higher than the other. As was said, the score showed equals all factors. I've had to lay off attacking and raiding as much because of this. Oh well, hopefully we get a reason or it's fixed

I have never lost a fight to someone with lower stats until recently. I know the randomized changes both players stats for each battle, but always the higher of the 2 numbers won. Not now. Please get this fixed. I am losing to players with 2000-3000 points lower defense than my attack.

Wow that's a nice lil gap. This will sound crazy but the strong against units wouldn't cause something like this right?

I don't think so. Besides, I don't have many "strong against sea" units. I saw a couple attacks in newsfeed when I woke up, but had to wait to retaliate until getting under vault max, just in case. I'm going to need to think more on it, maybe check his profile and inventory a little.

I could just be forthright with him, too, and ask if he didn't mind sharing his skill points for comparison. It should interest him as much as me.

I can't help but thinking army density is factored in on this.

More heavily, at least.
