Looking back at your progress through Crime City, what would be some of your biggest regrets or mishaps in the game...

Mine would have to be spending 20,000 respect points in order to get 10 of that lowest level explosive.
Another one is when I went to upgrade a building, took my money out from the bank and then upgraded the wrong building. I had to redeposit my money and therefor lost 20,000,000 :(

Not reading the forums soon enough. I levelled past 100 before I knew about boss tiers, and haven't won a single boss event, yet.

Give up from last St Patrick last prize to not level up, even with 25 hours left, to prevent changing tier of epic boss event, expecting a boss event, because as everyone else, I was not expecting the syn war so soon

no, I can not decide now. The above issue or participate in this bullet case event?

Seany - I did something similar to that. I was saving up for a level 4 NC upgrade, had it in my head that the upgrade cost was less than what it really was. Once I got the amount I thought it was, I cleaned out my bank account, went to go upgrade, then promptly returned to my bank account and deposited the money back in, with the obvious 10% fee tacked on. Oh well.

Mine was leveling up too fast. I hadn't joined the forums yet so I thought the goal was to get to the highest level as quick as possible. I joined here at about level 99 and realized my mistake. I ended up restarting my whole game and I'm chilling at level 20 now :)

I think the devs made the 10th item extremely hard to get to force people into spending real life money in an attempt to get it. I made this mistake twice, and never will again.

Deleting my entire hood after a years worth of play, I managed to quit the game for two months before being provoked back by the syndicates. Really, really, fooking foolish!

Ps i kept hold of 800 million so when I returned I was able to buy 2 nightclubs and upgrade them a bit. It's good to be back! At a cost though.

Not only did I buy gold trying to get a 10th box open I spent more on gold than I would have because they "just so happened" to have a sale on gold right then at the end of the event. Realized I got jacked instantly and learned my lesson quick. Only free gold for me from now on.

Getting caught up in the moment and spending too much real money, definitely.
Now I only buy gold once in a while and don't care if that makes me weaker than some players. It's only a game and it's crazy how much some ppl are paying to be the strongest or to get that 10th item...

Listening to the ROI people. Ignores the basic fact of the game that you can only upgrade one building at a time, so you need to make it the one which will make you the most money that you can afford to upgrade.

Just one, right?

so sell them? nothing wrong with doing goals as you gain money/xp/rp for doing them. personally my only regret is getting caught up the moment every now and then and spending too much actual money on an event. other than that I have no regrets at all regarding my stats or hood, don't get me wrong I wish I had paid more attention to the whole farming thing with m4a1's etc but hey ho.

after thinking about it for a while I think my biggest regret is actually getting above lvl 180 ish as now I am in witht he gold players and tbh it completely spoils the game as you are constantly getting destroyed by people that are able to basically buy their strengths and success without having to work for it, this may sound like petty *****ing but I assure you its honest opinion from a minor gold player, a heavy gold player can have stats of hundreds of thousands within hours of starting up with no average joe ever being able to compete. this isn't really apparent at low levels as all the big hitting gold players are HLP normally, if your 15 minutes late on any decent building its been robbed blind by someone with anywhere from double our score to 1mil att higher than yours.

I have no idea how to ever make it fairer for the free players but it does start to put you off of playing the game, it certainly doesn't make me think about spending hundreds a month on gold, mainly because I could never afford it!

The more I think about it, leveling up quickly isn't too hard of an obstacle to overcome. It is quite easy to build your att and def stats. You just have to know how to do it.

Ben Weston
03-24-2013, 12:43 PM
if you really are an honest player(not saying you are or not, just trying to help) then send in a ticket and try sending a PM to one of the officials on the forum, don't get funny with anyone just send in a polite message explaining whats happened and asking if there's anything they could kindly do to help, if you've got nothing to hide then this will be seen when someone looks into your account.

I plead for your help then, I am currently sitting at around 76k/108k with pretty much all def bonuses and some att bonuses from syndicates and level 200. how do I raise my stats to ~300k so that I am a viable fighter with at least 25% of the level 200 players without spending extortionate amounts of gold?

Dipstik

You do realize that taking advantage of that glitch a few months ago that let you attack people and lose money, then click "bank" and regain the amount of money you lost over and over again was what they're talking about, right? Sure, it didn't require any 1337 hax0r skillz, but it's still cheating.

Yes, I really do think he's so dumb that he doesn't consider what he did "hacking" folks...

I apologise to you specifically. There is no helping your situation. What I was referring to was lower levels. 75 and under. Buying weapons and equipment in bulk to outfit your entire mafia.

Unless you buy a vault of gold a month, then there's probably no competing with them. All I could suggest is to set your buildings on a schedule and collect on time. Set an alarm clock. Possible look in to ways to creatively hide your buildings and levels. Decorations and all...

whatever you say dip****, i didnt take advantage of any glitch. i was probably falsely reported by some dip**** like yourself for having a very nice income that you were jealous of. Either that or someone got tired of getting pummeled by me and filed a false complaint, which gree didn't even look into to see if it were credible
I highly doubt that one measly complaint would gain you a perma ban... If you are an honest player, be polite in your tickets, and be patient. If you did H.O.G. (hack or glitch) then I again, like always, agree with Dippy and have no sympathy for you.

My biggest regret is when I first started.

I stayed up extra late to ensure I didn't miss my 3 hour collection cycle plus I wanted to finish my final upgrade on my ice cream shop. Thinking how the final upgrade would really help me rake it in. *chuckling at my niavete*

Not sure how it happened but in my sleep-deprived haze, I inadvertently deleted the building instead of upgrading. *ouch* Thinking about it now brings me to tears. *sniffle sniffle*

A year later, I have discovered via the forum boards that I could have contacted support to fix my boo-boo. Guess it is all for the best. Since I am now the proud owner of two level 10 ice cream shops which I value as much...if not more than my level 4 nightclubs. *smile*

Max stats, excluding event items and modifiers/bonuses is 189k attack.
So to get 300k without gold you'd need to max all respect/cash items (as applicable), have a maxed out syndicate and get a ton of nice event items.

No matter how powerful the free items available get, though, the gold items will be more powerful. Otherwise nobody would buy them. So in 6 months or a year you might get 300k, but the people on 300k will be on 600k.

Or, more importantly, even if you magically had 300k stats it wouldn't help you. Lupo has 40k+ fight losses and he's double that.
