I'm making this thread because though we have threads like the random quickie questions thread and the sticky threads for guides to new players we still see some players who can't find where in some threads those very redundant questions have been answered.
So post your FAQ's that you see very often with an answer to it and I'll add it to the OP (Original Post) and if you are new and don't see your question answered it then post your question and we'll try to answer it and also add it to the OP. I'll also try to have all acronyms answered since sometimes we just don't know what someone meant when they throw one out there.
I know when I first started it took some reading before I got a hold of some of the stuff in the game. The forums is a great place to learn about the game but the answers to the questions we have get drowned into the old posts and threads. We all were new players at some point so here we go, lets make things easier!
ACRONYMS:
IGN=In Game Name
IPH=Income Per Hour
OP=Original Post
LTQ=Limited Time Quest
LTE=Limited Time Event
A/D=Attack/Defence
SS=Spreadsheet or Screen Shot
PvP=Player versus Player
PvE=Player versus Environment
Mob=Mobile Character Unit (not actually an acronym)
CP=Conquest Points
QUESTIONS:
Q: Why doesn't the new armor or weapon I just obtained show up under as my "Best Armor" or "Best Weapon?"
A: Each weapon and armor is usually assigned to a certain class that you picked at the beginning of the game (Rouge, Mage, or Warrior) but is sometimes (usually as big reward items) assigned to all classes. If it doesn't show up as your best weapon or armor then that means that it is either not your best or not for your characters class.
Q: What is the point of loot? Does it have any purpose?
A: Currently there is no valuable point to loot as it only serves as a collectible to finish parts to quests most of the time. Right now they only serve as trophies for you to look back on (if you care to do that at all) but it has been suggested by some players that GREE adds some of the more harder obtained loot items to some sort of trophy case idea
Q: Why can't I make a signature or post threads?
A: New forum members don't have access to certain privileges until they have reached a certain number of posts, the first being 10 posts.
Q: How do I edit my profile or change my signature (the footnote at the bottom of your posts)?
A: Scroll up, click the "Forum Actions" drop down button, click "Edit Profile," scroll down and click "Edit Signature" on the left bar of the screen.
Q: When do I become a regular forum member?
A: Forum member titles are actually acquired by the number of posts you have made in this order: 0-29=new member, 30-99=Member, 100 or more=Senior Member
Q: What are stones and how do I get them?
A: Stones are used purely in guilds for building guild walls which are used for defence in the Conquest of Kings. They are obtained only from attacking other players, not from raiding them. They have no personal use so if you have them you might as well just donate them. To see how many you have you must click on the guild tab and it will be listed in the top right corner. Stones can not be stolen from you either.
Q: How do I hit the Boss for 13 hits (using free/gold hits)?
A: hit 3 times, wait 1 minute (timer should say 1:57 or so) hit 2 more times. 5 hits
at the 1:30 mark hit him twice. 7 hits
at the 1:03 mark hit him twice. 9 hits
at the 0:36 mark hit him twice. 11 hits
at the 0:10 mark hit him twice. 13 hits
this gives you 10 minutes to use cure potions and finish him off if the first 13 didn't do it. buy a cure potion (gives half health), wait 1 minute, hit 3 more times. 3 hits for each cure potion
Q: I can't defeat the boss very many times! What gives?
A: The boss gets extremely hard above level 100. Unless you camp hard, you will not be able to defeat the boss 30 times without spending gems. There are level based brackets every 25 levels until level 100 that give the bosses more health for you to defeat in the NEXT Boss Event each time you enter these level brackets.
Q: I only got 9 boxes and I attempted the tenth (x) amount of times! What gives?
A: The next or last box (in a collect ten event) and each successive box (in an auction event) have increasingly smaller chances to contain the quest item. They designed it this way to make each box closer to the end harder (or seemingly impossible) to obtain.
Q: Why did I lose this fight even though I have (x) more stats than this other person?
A: There is a random percentage modifier on both players stats that goes on behind the scenes. There's also a percentage modifier based on both players attack and defense skill point allocation. This basically means that you can almost never guarantee you will win a fight with the information available to you in game. This being the design intent, to "add mystery to pvp"
Q: Help! Why am I being attacked by someone much higher in level than me!
A: One of two ways this can occur:
1. you attacked someone, camped, they leveled, but you are on their newsfeed for months. You are open game until you fall off their newsfeed. That can take a while.
2. The other reason is you are in the "whale" zone, above level ~130. This means you are now an eligible target for the level 200 players. The reason the brackets get wider is because there aren't as many players that high level (though the LTQs are fixing this) so in order for the level 200 players to have a reasonably "full" battle list, the listing algorithm has to look farther and farther down in levels to find people. The only way to avoid this is to not level up that high.
Q: Why doesn't my A/D change when I buy more units?
A: Your A/D is a function of the strongest offensive and defensive units that you can take to battle (the # of units you can take to battle is determined by your ally count x3) and the equipment they carry (one weapon and armor per unit). Work out what your lowest stat unit going into battle is and buy units that have higher stats. Your A/D will increase by the difference in stats between your new unit and the old. (e.g. 100/100 unit replaces a 50/50 unit, stat increase = 50/50 A/D).
Q: My hero strength has (x) amount of skill points on it and I have a weapon with (x) amount of damage yet I made a hit much lower than the combined two stats, how is this possible?
A: The hero strength skill points don't actually add on a definite number to you characters attack but rather are involved in a complex equation that uses a multiplier to decide the value of the hit you will make at random. While it is considered that each hero strength skill point will add an extra damage point to your attack that is only true in the fact that it CAN hit that high but can also hit lower due to the random multiplier.
Equation: (HS + WA + AA - MD) * +or-rand(20%), where HS is hero strength WA is weapon attack AA is armor attack MD is mob defense and random is random.
Q: what is this "camping" I keep hearing about?
A: camping is defined as attempting to gain a statistical advantage over your peers by not gaining any experience and slowly building your IPH and army. This form of play, once very dominant at lower levels, is not currently recommended unless you intend to never ever level up; the advent of the LTQs and the changes to the rival list make any advantage offset or superseded by lost LTQ units and people simply attacking you with four times your allies. Note that this is still controversial, but once people understand that you can gain 25k+ stats (at this time) in 5 days from an LTQ, it's not advantageous to camp if you intend on leveling up in the future.
Q: How much gold can you lose from being attacked?
A: this answer has changed recently. The correct answer is now 120k every four hours. You lose 10% of your unvaulted gold in a loss to an attacker, capped on a per attack basis at 9999 gold. You can be attacked a maximum of 12 times before the message "too weak to attack" pops up for your attacker. Note, these limits are much smaller at the lower levels, slowly building to those limits as you level up.
Q: How does raiding work?
A: You may only raid buildings that are past their collection times but haven't yet been collected by their owner. This can be seen by the red bar above the building. If this bar is present, you may raid it. If it isn't, you'll get the message "already been pillaged". This is why you normally don't see many long time collection buildings able to raid. At the same time, these buildings are the ones you really want to raid. The income from a successful raid is 15%/15%/30% (of the buildings output) over 1/2/3 successful raids, at which point the building turns to rubble and you have obtained 60% of the output of the building. Given that the longer term buildings typically have the highest output per collection, these are the highest value for raids. So remember to collect on time!
Q: How much do I get for selling a building?
A: you get half of the (NON discounted, out of the box, original) price of either the construction cost (for level 1) buildings, or the latest upgrade (for upgraded buildings). For example, you get 125k for a level one manor, regardless of how much you paid to build it. You get 210k for a level 2 manor, regardless of how much you paid to upgrade it. Note that this is horribly inefficient for upgraded buildings, as you paid 670k for that level 2 manor. What about gem buildings, you ask? You get nothing for selling a gem building.
Q: Do gem buildings upgrade with gems or gold?
A: Gold, and lots of it. They're normally more expensive than a similar building of the same level, but cheaper than the equivalent building of a higher level. Example gold mine is much more expensive (and faster to upgrade, most gem buildings are faster to upgrade) than the inn, but the gold mine is much cheaper than the lender, and much faster to upgrade.
Q: Why do I see someone with over 500 allies in their profile when supposedly you can only have 500?
A: You are seeing how many allies they actually have, but you can only bring 500 allies to battle. You can, however, ally with as many people as your heart desires, they just won't add anything more to your stats.
Q: Help! I hear the new LTQ has started but I don't see it available in my quests tab! Is this a glitch? What's wrong?
A: It's not a glitch and nothing is wrong. Each LTQ will have a level requirement before it shows up in your quest tab and that level requirement is based on the highest level map used in that specific LTQ. This will vary often as the highest map may be unlocked at a low level or it may be the highest map available. To see what level you unlock maps at, simply click on the maps tab and look at the ones you haven't unlocked yet. Don't get angry if you can't see it yet, you have two options: 1. Level up to the required level to participate 2. Wait for an LTQ that has a level requirement you meet.
Q: What is the Heroic mode everyone talks about in the LTQ's?
A: Normal mode is the first round of the LTQ often listed in your quest page as the title of the quest followed by a (1/40) or how ever many stages to the quest are listed. After completing the last of the stages (we'll say 40/40 for example) listed, the LTQ will reset back to the first stage again to start a second round called Heroic Mode. After completing the second round known as Heroic Mode you will earn the prize listed on the splash screen you get for the event.
I can't think of everything off the top of my head myself so please post here to help me complete this and make it easier for new players to find the answers to those questions most of us know but they can't find.
Thanks to everyone who supports this thread! :D

I'm reserving the second post in case I need extra room for posting questions:
Just thought of a use for post number 2, here we can keep a collaboration off all the spread sheets being used by people:

That's fine. I'll post some more when I can think of them. The boss health line needs to be cleared up, it's almost confusing to me and I know what you are trying to say.
This isn't my spreadsheet, but it's the only one I ever need.

Thanks Shin, I edited your Q's and A's a little bit to either make them more general or to avoid the moderators getting upset over "bad language" or talking about the things people don't like about them.
If anyone reads these answers and feels they can provide a better/more updated/more specific answer please post it here and mention that you think it's better fit as an answer and I will consider replacing the said answer.
Don't forget to post your spreadsheets you think might be helpful to everyone so I can add it to the Spreedsheets section in the second post

Why doesn't my A/D change when I buy more units?
Your A/D is a function of the strongest offensive and defensive units that you can take to battle, which is determined by your ally count. Work out what you lowest stat unit going into battle is - and buy units that have higher stats. Your A/D will increase by the difference in stats between your new unit and the old. (e.g. 100 Attack unit replaces a 50 Attack unit, stat increase =50).

Clarification.
Your A/D is calculated like this : Take allies. Multiply by 3 units per ally. Multiply each unit by the appropriate building boost, if any. Add 3 weapons & 3 armor per ally. Like so.
You have 100 hydras(60/58 beast), and you have 30 allies. This means you can bring only 90 of your hydras. Lets assume you have 30 each of the store bought w/a (14/21 and 10/25). Lets assume your beast kennel is level 5(+10% to beasts). Then your Attack will be (60 * 90 * 1.1) + (10 * 30) + (14 * 30) = attack. (Around 6660). Defense would be (58 * 90 * 1.1) + (25 * 30) + (22 * 30) = defense score. (~7152). Note that these calculations always use your best units and w/a first, so if you have too many units, the weaker ones count for nothing.

this gives you 10 minutes to use med kits and finish him off if the first 13 didn't do it. buy a med kit, hit 3 times, wait 1 minute, hit 2 more times. 5 hits for each med kit :D
If I purchase the cure potion it only brings me up to 50% health so I can only hit him a max of 3 times not 5. That's with the 10gem cure potion. Is there something I am missing?

I don't know, I copied and pasted this from an old post I saved that I thought gave a good and simple explanation of how to do 13 hits. I haven't used the cure potion in a long time, you say it only heals 50% now? Anyone else confirm this?

Yes, in KA, the health potion only gives you a half bar of health.
So, spend 10 gems, get the half bar, WAIT ONE MINUTE, then hit the boss 3 times. If you don't wait the 1 minute either at the start or after the first hit, you will only get 2 hits for your 10 gems.

The reason for this discrepancy is because this was also copy pasted from another Gree game, where the health refill costs 20 gems and restores all health, thus giving you 5 hits. The KA version is actually better.

If I remember correctly it was (HS + WA + AA - MD) * +or-rand(20%), where HS is hero strength WA is weapon attack AA is armor attack MD is mob defense and random is random.

Now for a real question : does the hero's defense do anything at all? I don't think it's used in any of the calculations. It certainly does NOT reduce the amount of damage your hero takes, which would be nice....

(Thought I read this somewhere, but can't find it again)
What are the rewards for each level (1-5) attained on a map location? For example, I know finishing level 4 gets you an extra skill point, something I wish I had realized earlier. I think this info helps new players decide which strategy to follow, i.e., zipping through maps doing quests, but not leveling them completely, or farming them for skill points or max amount increase from enemies, etc.
I realize there is a sticky for the level 5 reward drops, but not the interim gains.
Thanks, and super thread, GG.

Level 3 get you honor points
level 4 gives you 1 skill point
level 5 gives you an indestructible unit (see link below for list of units per map)

Shinazueli, first of all thank you for all of your answers here and your help. While I agree with your definition of camping I respectfully disagree with your statement of it’s not recommended. I don’t mean this to be an argument to your statement but just a difference of opinion (IMHO as you've stated :) )….
It depends on your playing style and what you want out of this game. I’ve been playing KA since it was launched and am only lvl 37. I am defined as a camper. However, I have done the last five boss events and also do some of the LTQ’s in a limited fashion. I choose to be camper/semi-camper for a couple reasons: 1) Life commitments (wife, children, work, etc…). I’ve chosen a camping guild because of the time required to participate in the battles. Trying to place as a top 250 guild will require a lot of time from your real life (and in most cases a lot of $). And 2) I don’t have to keep up with the Jones’s. I’m strong for my low level but there’s no way I can level up and keep up with the likes of The1, Winstrol, Jonny, Proprioc3ption (many others I’m sure) in terms of their strength in this game, whether I do the LTQ’s or not.
Many people think being a camper is boring. I don’t, I enjoy it. I am in a guild full of campers that enjoy it. The most important thing is to have fun and play the way you want to play... Buy gems, don’t buy gems, level fast, camp, etc… It’s your game, do with it what you want. That’s Logic. I bought a big RV when this game started (because I like to camp in comfort :) )
Question : what is this "camping" I keep hearing about?
Answer : camping is defined, IMHO (in my humble opinion) as attempting to gain a statistical advantage over your peers by not gaining any experience and slowly building your IPH and army. This form of play, once very dominant at lower levels, is not currently recommended unless you intend to never ever level up; the advent of the LTQs and the changes to the rival list make any advantage offset or superseded by lost LTQ units and people simply attacking you with four times your allies. Note that this is still controversial, but once people understand that you can gain 25k+ stats in 5 days from an LTQ, it's simply not an argument based on logic any more.

You sound like the type of player I was referring to when I said "never ever level up". It's still possible to do this, but any advantage you have gained is offset by another player participating in the LTQ to the max of their ability, regardless of experience gained. I'm not saying camping is bad, I did it for the best part of seven months, and it was fun being invincible, before they broke it. I'm saying that it no longer gives you any advantage. You just haven't yet leveled to the point where you can see the LTQ'ers on your radar.

Question: in the upcoming battles, how will your allies factor in who you are pitted against? Or is this not really a factor as you can barely track your allies since the changes to the attack/raid list. I realize I may have answered my own question, but I seek confirmation.

New question
I have 500 allies and when I do quest it say you have gained an alliance member but it don't go over 500 yet I see people out there with 526 and 530 members is it a glitch or should I send in a ticket to get my extra members ?
Thanks

You are seeing how many allies they actually have. You can only use 500 allies, full stop. You can, however, ally with 38464849 people, if you so desire. They just won't add anything more to your stats.

The events I've played in MW and cc seem to match first overall guild stats and then defense lead. (Guild guardian). After the GG is down, however, you are open game, so max allies is highly recommended, because max ally people will be able to attack you.

A: Gold, and lots of it. They're normally more expensive than a similar building of the same level, but cheaper than the equivalent building of a higher level. Example gold mine is much more expensive (and faster to upgrade, all gem buildings are faster to upgrade) than the inn, but the gold mine is much cheaper than the lender, and much faster to upgrade.
One small correction, not all the gold buildings are faster. The WMs are kind of slow. So just change "all" to "most".

To elaborate on this: nobody is permitted to make any changes to their roster, at all, until the event is over and rewards have been passed out. No gkicking, no inviting, and no leaving of any guild member is possible. Just an FYI.

That will factor directly into guild stats. That being said, a higher member guild possesses an inherent advantage, simply due to how it works.

Q: where should I put my skill points?
A: this depends on you. The following is a generally balanced, not bad at anything recommendation. There are options, but you must make the choice for yourself. Warning! You may never reallocate your skill points, so be CAREFUL about how you spend them!.
For my skill spec, this is my path. Your Mileage May Vary!
There are 600 skill points available from levelling, and 25+ odd skill points available from maps. This leaves you with 625 skill points at level 200. As they add more maps, the number goes up.
Therefore, when I attain level 200, I will have 15-20 stamina points. I was going to go up to 20 but with the lack of pvp events recently, and with the recent change to maximum attacks on a player to 12, from 20, I'm thinking 15 will be sufficient.
I will have about 25 points in attack, and 100 points in defense. People who tell you not to put points into a/d don't understand how they work. The reason it's heavily weighted towards defense is because I'm not Bill Gates, and there are many many people out there with a heck of a lot of money. I can control whom I attack to give myself a virtual certainty of victory, but I cannot control who attacks me.
The following (flawed) argument I hear often : "but I can always just raise my stats to beat people!" No, you can't, unless you are The1 or Winstrol. There is a limit to your budget, and you can easily reach it. When that happens, someone who isn't budget limited will take your BD10 money, and you will cry, and I will say I told you so.
That's 155 points in things other than Hero Strength. The remaining 470 points will go into Hero Strength, because when you are hitting a boss at the end of an LTQ, every single point you don't have in Hero Strength makes your eyes bleed. That'll give you an HS of about 230, which should be well above the average, allowing for easier (or cheaper) completion of the LTQs.
Final warning: do not come crying to me in 3 months when they decide to change the dynamics of the game and all of your points are worthless now. It happens, it sucks, there's nothing anyone can do about it.

Q: how can I go overvault to save for (x) upgrade! I'm getting wrecked when I try it!
A: here are some of the strategies that people have employed in the past.
First, there's always the option of selling your soul and buying gold directly. For one mountain of gold, you receive 120 times your (on profile) IPH. I'm only including this for the sake of completeness, though, since its rarely necessary.
Then, assuming you don't mind gaining some experience to make your overvault experience less stressful, you can do this: go to the highest level map you can access. Find the largest monster (usually only one) on the map. Bring it down to very low health, but don't kill it. Repeat as much you as can. It's like filling a water balloon of gold, ready for when you need to pop it. After you've started your run, walk around and one shot all the bosses you've left at low health. I've seen people raise 200k in about ten minutes in this manner, from one energy bar. Obviously, this is more effective the higher level you are, as you have more energy and access to more maps.
Another strategy is to raid your little tush off while you are overvault. Hit anything and everything, scorched earth going for broke. This method used to be much more practical, but since the advent of guilds, it's been harder to find uncollected buildings. Still, they are out there. And the amount of money you can make from this is unreal, and if you have a low IPH, this might be your best option.
A point to remember is that you should have, and be at, maximum vault, before starting your run. Maybe even 25k ish over vault. It's like the two or three steps that baseball runners take away from the base, close enough to be safe, but every step closer is one where you are vulnerable.
Then, plan ahead for when you are going to start your run. Try to start it with synced collections from your big buildings. I like to assume level 3 manors, because those aren't all that hard to get. Those will give you 52.5k a piece, and if they both come due at the same time, that's 105k right into your run. If you have your 24's synced up, you can easily make that 150k.
Basically, if you sync collections and properly Pve farm bosses, you should be able to get any upgrade under 700k rather quickly. Above that, you'll be more exposed for longer, but therein lies the challenge.
Another strategy for those who like building IPH like I do is to simply power through the attacks. Even when I'm overvault, I rarely get attacked more than once a day, and I make more than they take. This allows me to shrug off the losses and just wreck them later when I finish upgrading. Lol. It's hilarious when they're on my newsfeed and I eat their manors four times and they decide to just leave them down. Don't raid someone who can get stronger quickly. It's a bad plan.
Another key point to remember, never try a run on the weekend. Yes, you have more time to try to run, but so do the people you are trying to avoid. All of my runs were completed during midweek, when real adults who know how this game works have to work.
Almost done: strength. I know it sounds like a dilemma, but make sure you are as strong as you can possibly be before attempting to make a run. I see so many people now trying to run for bd10 with half an army of high priests. It's not going to happen. Hang it up. You need to have a mostly green newsfeed, and when you click open your battle list, if you can find more than 3 people after refreshing it a few times that could best you, you probably can't make your run yet. I will limit myself to 10 screens and one person stronger than me. This makes it much less nerve wracking, especially when I send that person an ally request!
Next, allies. This used to be more of an effective strategy, but if you are lower level it can still be effective. Manipulate your ally count, make it work for you. If you can't run at 500 allies, you just might be able to run down at 100 allies. And vice versa. It just depends on your density and strategy to this point.
Semi last one : lay off the attacks for a few weeks before you start your run if you don't plan on raiding to get there, or if you plan on dropping your ally count to run. The last thing you need is a vengeful player coming after you while you are trying to run.
Next to last: if you get hit, quickly send an ally request to that person!! Else, in four hours they may come back! And don't just send the request, slather on the begging and spam the ever loving cr$p out of their wall with your lamentations of woe. Get them off your radar as quickly as possible. If they won't ally, your run is over and you'll have to manipulate ally count or wait until they forget about you or level up.
Finally, as an absolute last resort, you can sell buildings for half value. I really don't recommend doing this unless you have absolutely no other choice, as its almost never necessary. But two level one manors will net you 250k. Never sell upgraded buildings unless you have tried literally everything else three times.
Edit:
A couple of things I'd forgotten to add:
1) you should have a level 10 lumber mill before you try any of this. And if you think you don't need it, don't cry "I was only (x) gold away!". You would have made it with a l10 LM.
2) If for whatever reason, you need to abort your run, just buy weapons and armor. You'll always need them, and they are expensive enough to quickly drop you to vault. It's a nice safety mechanism.
3) Be careful if you plan on continuing to upgrade during a run! The very last thing you ever want to see is "upgrade time remaining on your stable : 2 hours" while you are at 1.6 million gold! Trust me, you'll have a heart attack every time your phone makes a noise for those two hours. Learn from my fail, lol.
Never give up, sometimes you just get unlucky.
TLDR : PVE farm low health bosses (200k) + lead off from max vault (350k) + synced collections from big buildings (150k) + /cry selling 2 level 3 manors (700k) + raiding for 200k (if you don't have the guild discount)= 1.6 mil. There, dragons.

Question : so what are these LTQs I keep reading about?
Answer: well, Timmy, those are limited time quests. They are like other quests, in that they give you objectives to kill (x) mobs for a reward. Unlike those normal quests, though, these quests are "chained" together, each one opening the next quest. There are usually around 40 quests in each LTQ, each quest getting successively harder than the one before it, with (at least one) boss at the very last step that will reward a very nice unit for completing the LTQ. The catch here is that you usually only get a limited time, normally 5 days, to complete the event. Also, there's normally a "heroic mode" after the "normal mode" quests of the LTQ, which is really just the exact same (or nearly) quests with harder monsters and better rewards. The Splash Screen (yet another abbreviation for SS, lol) unit is the one you receive at the end of the heroic LTQ.
How hard is it, really, to finish this, you ask? Well, I'm not normally one to give you guarantees, but it's almost a virtual certainty that you won't even complete normal mode without spending real cash. If you are extremely high level and you've been doing the LTQs before and have dedicated your entire skill specification to hero strength, there's an outside chance that you can finish normal mode for free. But I'm going to go out on a limb and say that it's not possible to complete heroic for free. There's just not enough energy regeneration in the available time.
Which brings me to my next point: never rely on the timer in game. It's scarily inaccurate. Always give yourself at least a two hour cushion on any in game timer. Always. The LTQs have a habit of starting in the evening, so make absolutely sure you check it before going to sleep, if you're in the states(if not, you're SOL). That way you can spend your energy bar and wake up to a full bar. Note : if you sleep for 8 hours and have less than 8*180 (1440) energy (~level 134) you will waste energy. I have been known to set my alarm for 3:00am to blurrily drain the blue bar. Try to not let your energy bar remain full, if you plan on going far for free.
Next point: the bosses at the very end of the LTQ are VERY hard to kill. I'm talking 20 to 50 entire energy bars, for me. I think it took me around 150*150 (22.5k) damage to kill one of the bosses in a recent event. The consolation is that the end is near, but if you get there on the last day of the event, and are committed to not spending, don't waste your energy and time. The last boss took me an entire day (24 straight hours) of energy regen.
Conversely, once you finish on normal mode, the first dozen to twenty quests of the heroic mode are easy, and the rewards are nice! Keep going if you have time, it's worth it.
Now, for real amounts. It should take you, if you haven't completely neglected your HS and a/w on your hero, 1-2 mountains of gems to complete the entire event, with the two last bosses taking one entire mountain all by themselves. Note this is coming from a sub-100 level player, with a not horrible skill spec. It should be cheaper at higher levels, but I happen to know someone who has dedicated their entire skill point to HS at level 200 for this purpose and it still takes them one mountain of gems to complete the event in its entirety. So between one and two mountains for the vast majority of players, to gain between 25k and 45k stats, depending on how far you get.
That's all I know about LTQs.

Point of information. The rules changed on selling buildings you only get half of your guild discounted price. They still give you your lumber mill discount for free. Formula = 0.7737(original price)/2. For maxed level 5 guild cost decrease. Triple confirmed because I had to sell an extra building to get to bd10.

Also, is there a way to see the stats of the opposing Guild Guardian so you know that if they have higher stats than you, it's better to attack their wall/castle?
What is the advantage of assigning "officer" status to a guild member and can you have more than 1 officer?
Any tips on how to fight better in a guild war would also be great

"Run" here means the period of time you are overvault and vulnerable to attack; most people like this time period to be as short as possible, hence "run"ning.

Health (apparently, not confirmed) refreshes at a rate of 1 per minute, so one hour and forty minutes from empty.
No.
They can invite members and help the founder with administrative tasks. It's really just to help the founder stay organized.
Coordination is absolutely key. Having members waste their health by attacking someone they cannot defeat is one example of this. If you are talking to each other frequently during the war, you'll do much better. We have a private forum set up that everyone subscribes to, I think it's just a subforum, to coordinate. But any method of communication will work.

Question: how exactly are unit casualties figured out?
Answer: nobody but Gree knows exactly. But this is what we've been able to figure out from other Gree games:
Straight from the developers mouths : relative a/d plays absolutely no role in the amount of casualties you take. We think the way they worded that doesn't necessarily preclude the fact that relative a/d plays a role in determining whether or not you take ANY casualties, though, because the in game data supports that fact. This means that if you attack (or are attacked by) a stronger player, relative to you, you may suffer casualties, but you won't suffer more casualties than you would if you attacked a much stronger player. Stats are go no go for casualties, in effect.
Hopefully that wasn't too confusing.
After the game determines that you took losses (by which I'm NOT referring to losing a battle, you can win and still lose units), a mysterious software routine that nobody has been able to determine figures out how many units you lost. Again, no in game data has been able to provide a pattern for the number of losses. It may be a random number.
What we have been able to determine, thanks to some software friendly peeps on the MW forums, is that every unit has a number assigned to them in game, their "casualty rate". This number is usually very low, on the order of 0.1% to 5% for high loss type units. This "somewhat" corresponds to the displayed in game rates of "very low" and "high". Basically, once the game has determined how many losses you have taken, it uses these numbers to determine exactly which units (that you took to battle) that you have lost. A unit with a higher casualty rate will be lost before a unit with a lower casualty rate. They have a spreadsheet of actual casualty losses on the MW forums, but I've never seen a KA version, probably because we don't have the same valor system that they do. (You really don't want that, I promise).
That's all I know. It's really quite mysterious, hopefully I've shed some light on the topic.

Thanks Rastlin! My guild founder bought some but they didn't appear to show up at all. I wondered if there was a bug or not, or if all the walls got taken in one shot (he bought more than on of each level)

You use one wall per battle. Also the highest level wall is used first, and so on.

During the conquest we noticed the shield on the left side had an energy bar under it. After losing several battles due to a member going rogue one night the bar had dropped to below half. our win / loss ratio improved the last few days, but the bar never seemed to change. Do you know what it represents?

Assuming the answer to the above is something like the guild as a whole can only lose so many battles or give up so many points it will invalidate this question, but:
Why build walls if the only goal is to get points. Granted the more you give up the higher the bar will be to place for rewards, but if not many guilds new that I'm sure they would keep spending their money on walls.
Valsta

The guild is voting on what to purchase, but I'm not sure anyone knows what these bonuses really do. What buildings will be upgraded faster, etc. Guild buildings or does this apply to member buildings? For most of us this is our first "guild" type experience, but we did quit well ranking in the top 750.

I have no idea on your first question, but my suspicion is that it's a countdown until the next guild war. Right now it is a full bar and yellow. During the time of the war, I think it was always almost empty and red.
The point of walls is really indirect. It serves two purposes:
1. It decreases the amount of points the opposing team can get from your players. This is only really helpful if the guild you are fighting is near your rankings, but essentially you help yourself by decreasing the benefit the enemy is getting from you. If the other guild is way above or below you, then its more or less irrelevant.
2. It uses up some attacks from the enemy. If the enemy is a free guild, they will either spend a lot of their attacks on the walls netting them very few points, or they will just attack your players directly and get reduced points. If the enemy is gem guild, at least it reduces the net losses on your team by 10-20 attacks.

The health of the wall is the amount of damage that it can sustain before it stops protecting your guild. After it takes damage equal to it's health, it will no longer offer your guild protection, which means the enemy guild can attack your members and get full conquest points off you.
Just an FYI, the most damage an enemy can do to your walls in one attack is 2500. So, if your wall has 25,000 health, it will take 10 hits from enemies before it is destroyed.

If a wall has 55,000 health and max hit damage is 2,500, you have to hit it 22 times minimum.

That bar is the time left on the entire event cycle. It should be empty at the end of each conquest event, and refill right after it, so it should be full now.

All of them. What you want to get first really depends on your personal guilds situation, but a nice easy recommendation is to just always buy the cheapest one available.

No, he meant the WHOLE series of events that lead up to the war. So the current LTQ is the first event in this series of events. As we get close and close to the war, and as more and more events happen and then end, the bar gets smaller and smaller. Finally, when the war happens it should almost be nothing.

I'm not saying it's an accurate indication. Just that it should empty and refill with the event cycle, so dragons roost was one cycle, and blighted woods is another cycle. It's really kind of a wasted effort on their part, because its both unnecessary and inaccurate.

The linked on the 2nd post is incomplete, with MANY entries incorrect, and when correct, most refer to stats before the boost (eg dragon attack of 73).

Question: When you invade a rival how do you know which buildings are available to raid?
Answer: Buildings available for raiding will have the red health bar above them. No bar means they have been collected and cannot be raided. If someone has a defensive building hiding behind those manors, you might mistake the red bar for the manors' one. Sometimes it can be harder to see if the buildings are stacked. But it's still true.

Valsta - walls while up limit your opponents point scoring capacity to 50%. So a strong wall will take time and hits - that are not scoring points off your team... If your wall survives the first ten minutes, you may limit free player attacks to 4 or 5 instead of 6 - every little bit helps!

Walls are, imo, primarily for the top 25 guilds. They, throughout the course of the war, fight among themselves and are all vying for more points than the opponents for placement. It could happen that the guild you fought two days ago (if u have no walls) scored an extra 2000 points and pushed you from 25th to 26th place.. Just an example how not having them could s u k arse!
In the lower ranks you have a bigger pool for matchups and simply earning points is enuff to achieve top 200.

That is what I thought.
Follow up question then… Are the number of Guild members accounted for in match ups? For example, if the average att/def is say 50k and we had 20 members and then increased our guild size to say 26, but kept the averages the same would we still be matched up with the same guilds as before?
My reasoning here is, why spend money on walls at all, instead spend it on guild size increase and maintain the average in hopes of getting more members into battle and thus increase points… and higher ranking. Getting majority into battles at the same time is often the problem and thus the increase in numbers.

We think the matchup algorithm takes into account total guild stats and your GG's stats when matching guilds. The total stats is directly affected by # of members. However, if you have a few stronger members, you could easily be matched against those with more members and a lower average stat per member. Keep in mind this is conjecture, but the in game data seems to support it. However, it's difficult to skew the total stats number enough to make a difference in the matchup, unless you are at the extremely high stat range.
Also, you are correct with your theory, as long as the members you are inviting are actively participating, then you will get more "bang for your buck" out of investing your gold into the member bonuses than into walls. However, there's no reason you cannot do both, outside of insufficient donations.

Hey Shin, been a while. Yea I saw all the changes with the new vault increases and the new units. Unfortunately they did the dumb thing so while they made new units better than dragons available they also made them able to obtain at the current lvl 10 unit building so no quest to obtain a new level or new building upgrades. Just makes them sort of pointless but makes gold buildings relevant again

Also notice the huge stat difference between the old top gem unit in beasts and the new top gem unit for only 100 gems in difference. Funnier still the old top gem unit for Magic costs 450 gems with 262/255 stats and the new top gem unit for Magic costs 220 gems with 280/365 stats.

Hi, Im new to the game. Made level 70 in 2 days, and I have over 100 stats to fill. My question is where is the most effective place to fill these stats? I haven't found any thread with popular/viable "builds" like in Castle Age HD or Rage of Bahamut etc. so far I've put 30 into atk and 50 into hero strength, I just haven'thad a chance to play many aspects of the game such as war, so I don't know how important say stamina is, because if I attack until Im out of stamina, it only takes maybe 20min to refill. Also, in the guild recruiting thread, it seems as though top guilds only care about your atk/def power of your army/units and IPH, and that's it, which makes me think that stats do not really so much matter.
I've been trying to PM many players both on the forum and in the game, I've gotten one reply that I should put everything in hero strength.
Really looking for input.

I know this question has been asked before - but I'm still a little confused....
I know each ally can take x3 units into battle each with 1 weapon and armor. How is this broken down?
Say I have - for arguments sake - 100 footsoldiers, 100 archers, 100 water elementals, 100 battering ram
Does a unit mean I can take in 3 x footsolders? or does a unit mean all my footsoldiers as a whole and then leave me with 2 other 'units' I can take in with me?
Also how do I work out all of my strongest weapons and armour? I know generally it is better to err on the side of buying the best you can, but how do I see which are being taken into battle in order to work out what I need next?
Does this make sense? Sorry if I'm being really dim, I'm in the middle of revising for finals and my brain is really fried!!!

Hi, thank you, this is a great thread. I'm hoping you can answer a few questions that I havent seen answered yet:
allies: Ive seen advice to not raise ally count too quickly until you have units and equipment to support it. why is it not good to just max out allies to 500 right away? I understand why it wouldnt help if you dont have the units to fill the available slots, but why would it hurt? doesnt it just mean you have an empty slot that could be filled?
equipment: how does equipment work into the calculation when attacking or being attacked? by that i mean, is there some advantage to having an equipped unit whose total a/d is 50/50 versus a better but unequipped unit whose a/d is the same 50/50? (besides the fact that you cant ever lose equipment)
guild war attack health bar: can you please explain how this works in greater detail? you get exactly 4 hits on a full bar and i saw in an earlier post it takes an hour and 40 minutes (100 minutes) to refill from empty to full. so does that mean it takes 25 minutes to go from empty to enough energy for one hit? it seems the timing on the regeneration is not consistent from battle to battle.

it is thought that you are matched with players with more or less the same number of allies and so if you are not well-equipped but have 500 allies you might be at a disadvantage and meet up with stronger players. having said that I now have 500 allies and still see players with 49 or 120 or 224 allies on my attack list. but most of them have 500 allies
equipment: how does equipment work into the calculation when attacking or being attacked? by that i mean, is there some advantage to having an equipped unit whose total a/d is 50/50 versus a better but unequipped unit whose a/d is the same 50/50? (besides the fact that you cant ever lose equipment)
if you have a unit of 50/50 equipped with a weapon of 20/20 and an armour of 20/20, then the combined stats is 90/90. so yes the answer to your question is it is better to buy stronger units than investing in expensive armory for eg hawkslayer leather which cost around 17000 coins at 25/15. but again you cant lose these equipment
guild war attack health bar: can you please explain how this works in greater detail? you get exactly 4 hits on a full bar and i saw in an earlier post it takes an hour and 40 minutes (100 minutes) to refill from empty to full. so does that mean it takes 25 minutes to go from empty to enough energy for one hit? it seems the timing on the regeneration is not consistent from battle to battle.
yes it take 25 minutes for each quarter so more or less an hour and 40 min for a full bar. so in a war, u can make 4 hits at the start, then wait for 50 min come back and make anoter 2 hits then wait for full regen.

The game sums your best units, weapons and armor, under the ally limit.
If you have
10 allies
20 units
10 weapons
40 armors
You will go to war with:
20 units
10 weapons
30 armors (because of the 10*3 limit)
Meaning that some of your units will go to war dressed with 2 armors.
If you had 499 allies upon completing you would have 500. It counts towards your 500 total allies. Some are actual players and some are what the system calls grunts. The grunts are event awarded allies (no request I'd entered).

A guild member sent me a ss of my profile and I saw the difference in stats. I recognise that I see my stats boosted (all boosts lvl10) and opponents do not.
When I view a rivals profile defence I take this into consideration and try and add roughly 20% to their stats before deciding to attack. When I view the battle results their defence is shown substantially lower. My assumption is I never see the effects of skill modifiers, mine or theirs.
Recent example: profile def- 820k battle result def - 710k
So, am I seeing their boosted stats in their profile and unboosted in battle results?

So if I have more units than weapons or armor, I still take all my units to war correct? For example, i have 10 units, 5 weapons and 5 armor no allies. I bring to war 10 units and 5 weapons and 5 armors. Not 5 units and 5 weapons and 5 armors.

Hi,
Do guild members get to use the rewards won - outside of guild wars? They become part of your army when raiding nonguild members?
If so, is this the main reason why folks join guilds?
Thanks

Yes you get the rewards outside of the war, so that is certainly part of why folks join guilds. There are also bonuses you gain as the guild gets stronger to increase the speed your buildings upgrade and the cost of upgrading to name a couple. Once you are in a guild that communicates outside of the game, it adds a new social aspect that was not there before, so I would imagine that is another big reason for joining. The war event itself is very fun with a group of active players and also adds something to the game that is not there when you play solo.

Yes. Units won during guild war become individual awards.

Hi guys,
Just a quick question on the Boss Tiers and Experience gained.
As you move up in Boss tier (i.e. from level 1 (1-25) to 2 (25-50) ), does the exp earned from each boss kill change as well? I recognized that in the 1st tier, exp gained from each kill increased by 10 each time from 20 (level 1 kill) --> 510 (level 50 kill) or thereabout..
Do the higher tier bosses yield the same exp per kill or is it more due to the higher tier/level?
Appreciate any insight in advance.

No. what matters is always the number of allies.
Units, weapons and armour, they all are restricted by the ammount of allies you have.

Not quite sure what you are asking. But I think the answer would be yes - no matter if you are in a guild or not, doing an LTE or LTQ or not, or participating in a Guild War or not, if you raid or attack another player, you will always gain experience towards a level up. The only exception is if you are level 200 (the current max).

This one you are going to have to ask tech support for help. First, try your best to get the inactive to wake up by sending a message to his in-game name, which (unless he deleted the KA app or turned off notices) will give him a notice that "[someone] commented on your wall!". I'm guessing you have already tried that, so...
Send an in-game support request detailing out the situation, while also sending a PM to CJ here on the Forum. They will both have to look into it server side just as a precaution so no injustice happens, but they should be able to help you out.

Yes, only your best weapon for your hero class. The weapon you will use is generally displayed in the box on your main profile page along with your best hero armor as well. Sometimes the animations when attacking monsters are incorrect. So if your a mage and you see your hero swinging a sword, don't worry, its just a display glitch.

Hi Cersei,
Welcome to the forums.
Before Guilds were formed, any person you allied with would not appear on your rival list, except for an occasional glitch. Since the forming of guilds, and slightly before they officially came out, this was changed so the only people who don't appear on your rival list would be fellow guild mates.
No explanation was given as to this change.

Best place is in-game support. You can give the person's name and ID if you have it, and even better, take a screen shot and send it in.

Q: This increase is due to what? And how can we use it?

You will only use 500 until the gameplay is changed. You have basically added 'Grunts' which are non player allies.
You don't benefit from it (for at least, now). But this has been discussed before. Search is your friend.

I only have 310 allies right now, I'd hate to see it with 500+. Is this just me, or is it something built into the game? I'd also like to be able to re-arrange the list, but don't see that happening soon.

Yes. I have done that twice, and both times were fixed, although it took a few days to do so. I also didn't spend the wrongly purchased gold. :)
When sending in the request, add to the beginning of the subject line something like, "gold mis-purchase instead of gems".

Hello Forum,
Our guild founder was anticipating an extended period away from the game. He made me the founder before he left, but he didn't communicate the exact nature of the switch. I panicked and gave him the guild back. This was at the end of May.
He is completely AWOL . . . not answering emails or texts.
On 6/6, I created an issue asking Gree to please switch the founder back to me.
Since then, I've PM'd CJ on the forum once and sent another email to Gree. I haven't heard anything. I really don't want to be a pest if I can avoid it.
Does anyone know if they've done this before? Am I following the right process?
If they won't do it, we need to know. We can't buy bonuses or walls, and we fought the last war with no walls or guardian. We managed top 150, but I'm not sure we want to go through that again :-).
Thanks for any advice!

They continue to champion rounds- which also do not give anything great out- it rotates the same six units over and over- all honor units-

If you are talking about the videos that earn you gems, it is good to check a few times a day. Not sure if it has to do with your location and demographics, but it probably does and limits the number of free gems given out. With that being said I will go a few days with no freebies and then have three or four days earning 6-15 gems a day watching different ads.

I have tried multiple times, even resetting the iPad (version 1).
I would love to get my info and transfer to my iPad mini, but I cant even get into the game to do this.
I am not part of any guild and am a level 123 so I would love to get this back.
Anyone know why this is happening and how I can stop it???

There's a thread about this with instructions. It boils down to
A) restart device and reinstall KA
B) repeat step A until it works.
Note that for your situation if you cannot get back in you can submit a ticket with both devices unit IDs (and any other pertinent information, like your ally code) and have them transfer your game. You may have to wait until the cows come home, but it'll get answered eventually.

What exactly does a mega attack do in a boss event? Is it automatically half a life bar? Is it more advantageous to get six hits out of 20 gems or 9 hits out of 30 gems?

Mega attack = four gold hits. Use health refills unless you cannot afford the gold cost of regular attacks. That shouldn't happen below level 150, and the cost is so high that unless you only need to do it once or twice it's almost never worth the price for a mega attack. Use health refills. Search the forum (or even this thread!!) for more details.
Also, finally math says 6/20 = 9/30 = 3/10.

You mean like 6 hits per 20 gems?? As in simple division? Please tell me you're joking. Word problems are so hard. Try to look and see who you're talking to next time.
Alexius
06-25-2013, 01:11 PM
Yes 6 hits per 20 gems. If you wait 1 minute after doing the recharge you get an extra attack above the normal two that you get. My original question was what is the exact value of the mega attack because I had yet to try it. With that being said, I know that with 20 gems you can get 6 full attacks out of it but the value of those attacks diminish with your advancement both in level and in the boss event. If the mega attack was always a flat rate energy bar attack, eventually that one attack would be worth more than 6-9 minuscule attacks costing 20-30 gems respectively. With the mega attack costing 25 gems there should be a cost/benefit analysis that could be done, or probably had already been done regarding when it makes sense to do either based on level and advancement if it were a flat rate percentage of the energy bar that is depleted because of the mega attack (like in the wars). I'm talking to whoever would listen and respond without coming across as condescending for no reason whatsoever.

Hi,
I am level 165 and did some calculation on this. I note that in computing the benefit of mega hit you need to also account for the 10 gem to replenish health.
The benefit of Mega hit, involving 1 refill and 3 mega hit, will take about 18 normal hit (I.e. No gold) via 6 refill. So it is 85 gems vis a vis 60 gems. The latter, however, take much longer time ....
To kill a boss using the normal hit and refill, takes about slightly more than an hour of play time for me with my level and stats
Sure hope this is helpful.

Just putting this here. Some can confirm or correct me as appropriate, or add additional information.
- First Guild Quest does not have a time limit. Assuming that it does have a finite end*, this means you can take, as a guild, as long as you need to finish all of the quests. This may change in the future, and if so, will probably have a time limit added to it
*EDIT: First Guild Quest ends at 15
- If you are in a guild, and do not participate in the Guild Quests, so far I have noticed that you get the units rewarded for the guild. This is helpful for guilds that have people from across the planet playing at different hours of the day.
- For each part of each guild quest part, you can tap the quest, then tap the "i". this will bring you to a screen that shows you who is participating in that particular part of the quest. This also shows you how many points you get for killing each monster during that part of the quest. Example: War Effort VIII Kill 300 winter Trents. Tap the "i" and it will show you Guild Points Per Contribution is 15 for each one of this particular part, who is participating, and how many kills they have done.
This log of players and kills resets for each part.
- The monsters you are suppose to kill, at this time, for the guild quests have a blue arrow over them
- Going to your guild tab, you will see "Ranking" as a new tab. this pulls up who is in your guild that has participated in ANY of the guild quests and how many points they have gotten. If you hit the "?" it will explain more on the purpose of Guild Points, which, in summary, is specifically and only to show who has the most points in the guild. Or in some cases, can show you who is not helping out, who has not yet done anything, etc. the information also explains that once you leave the guild, your points reset and do not come back.
- GUILD QUESTS "NOT LOADING":
* At this time, there seems to be a lag in the guild quests loading for some gamers. This is server side and like a brand new regular quest, you can usually log out of the game, wait a minute or two, log back in and the new part of the guild quest will appear. If it doesn't, stay in the game for a couple of minutes, then log out and back in again. It should load. Otherwise, search um for various handlings people have done get quests, boss events and the like to load for them.
* It can also happen that once you finish a part of the quest and the award pops up on your screen, you might see a new monster appear on the map you are currently on. I have found that this new monster is part of the new quest, and just started killing them and it immediately started counting towards the new quest (especially since that mob appeared over and over and over again, even though it did not have the blue arrow over it). Do this at your own risk of killing the wrong monsters
----------------
Have fun and I will update as I get more information.

Just putting this here. Some can confirm or correct me as appropriate, or add additional information.
- First Guild Quest does not have a time limit. Assuming that it does have a finite end, this means you can take, as a guild, as long as you need to finish all of the quests. This may change in the future, and if so, will probably have a time limit added to it
- If you are in a guild, and do not participate in the Guild Quests, so far I have noticed that you get the units rewarded for the guild.
For the last part once a quest is finished just relog and the new quest will be there.

Why are there 6 threads with the words "Dead of Winter" in their title? That doesn't count the amount that are crying about "Dead of Winter" because of bugs or drop rates or whatever ridiculous nonsense this community can come up with.
GREE, where have your responses been to assist or manage this?
It's time to really look into a Moderator. Or, maybe 2.
This is getting out of control. Please merge or close some of them.

I agree. Trying to search for information on one topic should not yield so many results. Sirius please merge these threads of at least close some of them and redirect additional posting to one or two threads. How about in one thread for positive information, and one for negative. It would sure cut down on my reading time and search results. Thank you.

Energy recovers to much per minute and you can see it trickle in while you are playing. However, when you leave the game sometimes you come back and you have a large block that has recovered it maybe the whole thing.
How does energy recovery actually work? Is there a rhyme or reason to it? What's the formula?
Thanks.

3 energy per minute baseline. Anything else you see is either a bonus or a glitch.

Because Gree said so. Next question.
For guild quest prizes do new members obtain these as they join? And do you lose them if you leave the guild? Basically are guild prizes like guild bonuses?

The way I understand it (and I know I'll be corrected if I'm wrong), is that if you join a guild prior to the guild war of the current campaign, you will receive whatever guild bonuses were achieved in the current guild quest. Should you leave that guild after the wars you retain those rewards and any bonus attached to that reward. If you go to your bonus listing page it will show you what bonuses are yours and which are bestowed upon your character because you are a member of that guild. Should you leave, the guild bonuses are the only ones you will forfeit. The guild quest rewards and bonuses attached to them will be listed under your units and YOUR bonus, thus allowing you to keep them should you leave. I will say however this is solely based on the last campaign and may or may not have been changed. Your best bet is to check your 2 bonus categories. Sorry for the length of the post, first timer and all!

@Jaden Welcome to the Forum and thanks for helping out. :)
I think you are correct, though once you are rewarded with the unit or units, you don't lose it or them even if you leave during the current Guild Quest. During a Guild War you cannot leave your guild even if you wanted to.
What I don't know, is if you get the units awarded to the guild if you join after the guild has already finished the entire quest. From what I have seen, you only get the guild quest units should you join while the guild quest is still on-going. And with the units, you also get the experience that comes with them. So if you plan to camp and gain NO experience, you should keep this in mind.

Well, for as long as the event is running you get all the awarded units even when the guild quest is completed and therefor no longer visible in the guild. Perhaps someone can tell if you get awards after the event is closed also.

2 weeks ago I left one guild and joined another. This happened after the LTQ Dead of Winter was not only completed by my new guild, but the limited time had expired as well. I received all the units my new guild achieved that I hadn't received from my old guild including the final one! Keeping in mind I joined before Storming Glacial Pass final event (Wars) started. Currently the Guild quest Depths of Betrayal has completed and we just brought in 2 new members. They received all the guild units we achieved from Depths of Betrayal but none of the ones from Dead of Winter. So it is my understanding that if you join before the war of the current campaign, even if the Quest is over, you receive the units and bonuses they won from the LTQ of that campaign and only that campaign. Hope I helped and didn't just ramble on.

Yep! I checked a member who we accepted after finishing the guild quest. He received all units !
I don't know if that is really ok! New members should first prove themselves, before receiving rewards...
New members already get the guild bonuses, for giving them without doing anything at the same time 40K reward units goes a bit to far I would say!

Strategy.....depends on how the matching system works. I know that you've spent a lot of time analyzing the system Shin, how do they actually pair guilds?
As near as I can tell, it's based primarily on guild rank/CP's in the current war. There appear to be other factors in the equation, but those may be anecdotal. We recently changed GGs, and the opposing guilds GG's changed with them, but I'm not sure if that's just based on the fact that stats are rising or we are being matched with like GG's. Some other factors seem to include total guild stats. We seem to be paired against other LLP guilds about twice as often as against HLPs. Again, that may be because there are more LLP guilds near us. But the one factor that is clearly dominant is current rank. I plotted our matches against our opponents, and they have a large positive correlation coefficient, ~0.9. I'd say that you can plan on being matched against other guilds of similar rank + or - 15 unless there's no guilds to match you with. Much like how the battle list works.
Note that this is no way confirms it, because all I have are the after the fact data points. Not the original equation.

ACRONYMS:
IGN=In Game Name
IPH=Income Per Hour
OP=Original Post
LTQ=Limited Time Quest
LTE=Limited Time Event
A/D=Attack/Defence
SS=Spreadsheet or Screen Shot
PvP=Player versus Player
PvE=Player versus Environment
Mob=Mobile Character Unit (not actually an acronym)
CP=Conquest Points

Apparently, it increases the chances that a mob's attack will miss you. As you progress to higher levels, however, the armor becomes less effective. So far, it hasn't been shown to reduce the damage of hits inflicted by a mob.

The prize armor in the past few quests seems to be pretty stellar in stats but I haven't noticed a real actual change in fighting the mobs. Has anyone noticed a meaningful change?
From my experience, the higher defense give you a better chance of a "Miss", if the mob dosent miss, the attack value is independent of your defense and the same for everyone

Looking for help....In the last two Guild quest I completed both the Guild Quest and the individual quest on time but did not receive all the items. I submitted a Ticket to Gree support 5 min after the last one and now they are asking me the Name of the Quest and the items awarded......Did not record them as I have not had trouble in the past.
Does anyone out there have the Name of the 2 Guild Quests prior to Dead Mans Chest and the list of the Top Items issued to players who completed both the Guild and Players part of the Quest.

Then confirm that you have the units listed for each level for the respective guild quest in the spreadsheet. If you don't have it, then that's what you're missing. Inform Gree of the same. Good luck.

Hey guys scoured the i termed and search at for answers but cant find any, I. Lvl 12 with 2 allies and 473 attack power is there a reason why my attack won't increase when I buy new better units? Everyone my lvl in the rivals lost has far more attack then me for some reason? I know I need to buy armor and better equipment but regardless its my overall attack power wont move unless i increase my allies then my problem is the same saint im with people who has far more defense then my atk? I built alot of money making buildings and stopped pve'ing to try to catch up my my army still won't get stronger for some reason baught a few machine golems giants with honor and still didnt increase i thought better units replace older weaker ones when you got them? Any suggestions tips or advice?
Welcome to the forum!
If I'm reading your post correctly, you are currently level 12. In this case, you can only bring 60 allies to battle (5 allies per level, up to level 100).
Each ally you bring to battle, can bring 3 units. So, that means, with 2 allies, you can only bring 6 units to battle.
Check your inventory and see what your top units are in magic, infantry, machine and beast, and you should be able to figure out what your top 6 units are that you bring to battle.
THOSE are the units you have to replace to get a higher attack score and defense score.

Zach123. You have to post 10 times in other people's threads before you can start your own
Already posted 10 times but still cannot start new thread.
Is there a change in requirement?

I also have this problem. It is a stupid requirement because now I'm going to post pointless garbage like this. Sorry to all of the content posters.

I know this has been posted, but I could not find it. How do you include a screen shot in the forum post?

Is it better to be in a top 25 guild with all the prizes that come with that status or is it better to be in a small guild and get 50 wins?
