The original acknowledgment from CC Mark of the gold buying incentive program stated that you had to spend $500+/month, but then in the break down it said 5 vaults or 10 vaults or...

If there is a 40%-off gold sale, do you still get the bonus for 5 vaults or do you need to buy ROUNDUP(500/(0.6*100))=9 vaults?

It's counted by vaults not the actual amount. So 5 vaults will get you bonus, regardless if you payed 300/400 or 500 dollars for it
