Way back in the day, firefighting was considered slave work. Hence only the Irish would do it and the fire service was almost 100% Irish. So as a salute to the firefighters on MW, Happy St. Paddy's Day. Drink our green beer and have some Jameson and Bushmills.

Starling, nice bro!

One of my degrees is in fire science, but I never acted on it. I have considered volunteering, but I currently live in an area that doesn't have a volunteer station.

Thankfully never needed a single firefighter, but MAN am I grateful you guys are there, doing your job!
And I think today firefighters have it somewhat better, especially thinking about how sexy you guys are to women ;)

I wish I could drink one brother, would be in Savannah,GA celebrating this weekend if I could. I'm a retired Firefighter/Paramedic after 26 years and miss it every day.

Spent almost 15 years in the back of an ambulance. Now I dispatch. Sure I'm out of the elements but I miss the action and wish I was on the bus every time I send them out

I had to retire due to health reason but if it wasn't for that I would still be there. Tried volunteering but just couldn't maintain what I needed to do, still do some classroom instructing for them but not the same as dragging the pipe or extricating someone out of a car.
