The Darkness....

This faction deserves their own thread. In Greenland, we were at 10th and because we couldnt see how far 11th is from us, we kept on fighting non stop so we dont slip out of top 10. This time it was us and the Darkness. We must have switched places at least 20 times during the event. It wasnt as exciting as it was stressful because during the last few hours, The Darkness were away by 20k-60k according to the leader board and we pushed to gain 300k and they quickly went up by another 200k. I think we finally beat them by 300k or maybe a bit less. What got us worried was Dogs of War in the last 7 hours or so had 9.6M so 11th place wasnt as far as we expected them to be. You guys killed it so hats off and much respect to The Darkness for giving us a hard time, that was one hell of a battle.

=BRAVO= member here. I second all that Spit says. You guys in The Darkness had all of us on the edge of our seats in the last few hours of battle. The adrenaline was pumping and I was constantly refreshing the leader board between hits. It was without doubt the most exciting part of the whole event for me. So thank you Darkness, hope you make top 10 in China as well.

It was fun...although scary in tenth as our score was in lights and not knowing how close 11th was behind us we pushed...and as you say swapped places with yourselves many times....was edge of the seat stuff...well done Bravo for keeping us at bay near the end.

Hey, Bap here (Leader of The Darkness), yes, we managed to sneak ahead of you guys in Greenland by about 30k, that was tense but Egypt, wow, that was a whole other level of tense, we had no idea how far the Dogs of War were behind us. I was actually afraid that VFF Alpha were going to drop in some 600-800k games and take 10th... killer day yesterday, I'm still recovering. The event finished on iOS in Europe (well UK certainly), before it did in the states, so we had half the team battling still without me and some of our other heavy-hitters, so we were all on a knife-edge until it was definately over. Congratulations to you guys, brilliant battles and love the competition, we so wanted to sneak ahead of you again :-) well done and well played. I'm sure you guys will be with us in the Top 10 in China.

Sincere commiserations to Dogs of War, serious competition and I'm sure they'll do well in China.

You all did great...for 9-10-11, anything there. I was in that battle in Greenland and it is stressful but fun. Great work and congratulations! I'm still trying to figure out how Bravo did that with the publicly pledged ZERO gold before the last 24 hours...sounds like there was a back and forth battle, so I guess all teams from 8-12 did no gold till the last twenty for hours! ;)

Nice thread, spitfire... I like reading about those close encounters. It's a great description of how exciting this game can be, especially when you and your team mates have reached the point when there's only two or three battles left and all of your hard work and efforts in the previous 68-70 hours is seemingly slipping through your fingers!

Were you in The Darkness? I always thought you were SF and then moved to PUN.

vballmadam- I completely agree with you. It would be great to see inbetween top 25 to see how everyone is doing.

I was watching pirates and emperors switch places a lot and it was really exciting. I even got on forums and was about to start a poll to see who would win, pirates or emperors. When I was done with previewing the thread, I went back to check the scores and saw pirates ahead by 7 mil and said F it lol.

We also won't forget about all of the CASH HACKERS you also have in your faction either. I made the choice to remove mine, but you have at least two in yours (don't tell me someone with 50k stats legitimately has at least two players with iph over 11 million and two level 10 anniversary centers, etc), and Seal Team has at least one.

I made the choice to boot our hacker. Too bad your factions won't do the same.

He was talking about Joe Army. We dont have level 10 Acs at all. Not sure about the Darkness. Joe Army looks like a merger between other factions. I heard mad ox and marauder dissolved so its possible these guys were from that faction or a different one OR that the faction has always existed but just never participated in the events for top 10 and this was their first. They did great but this thread was created as a tribute to a rival faction that were neck to neck with us. It's great to hear from them and hear their input on this. We have always wondered what they were thinking and now they know how we felt and it wasnt pleasant lol it was stressful and it was fun and both of us acknowledged it.

This thread is a perfect example of how rival factions should respect each other. You arent physically hurting anyone and when you lose or win, you share your thoughts with respect to others, unlike the top 3 factions that flood the forums with online fights and spying. We just want to have fun and so do a lot of factions. This last part wasnt for you JMS only but to everyone on the forums. If you however stumble upon a hacker, please send a ticket to GREE and hopefully within the year, they will reply back to you.
