View Full Version : I see the bad ex-guild members are starting to make their rounds...

We just removed some non-active players (or non-contributing) from our guild, which opened up some slots. It is funny to see that now we are starting to get the kicked out members of other guilds trying to join us. I love reading their walls showing they were either not helping, or not replying to their old guild. I am glad they are not smart enough to clean up their walls. It makes my life easier than directing them to our site and going through the probation period. I think we need to start a section of members removed from guilds, and the reasons why to save all of us time.

Just because someone was kicked from a guild doesn't necessarily mean they are bad people. They just didn't fit in where they were. You try to start a topic about other ex members of guilds, and it will probably become a flame fest and get locked. And the he said, she said stuff doesn't mean much unless you know and trust the person saying it. If you know them, it would be just better to ask them.

While it seems a good idea at first, and would make life easier for guild leaders to do something akin to a credit check on someone by using the proposed ex-guild members thread, I'm afraid I have to agree with Chazz that it's almost sure to turn into a flame fest. Instead, if a guild applier's wall throws up red flags, though it is more work, I'd suggest asking both that potential member and the leader of their former guild what happened as probably the fairer way to do it - you get to hear both sides that way.

No it doesn't mean they are bad people, freeloader maybe, but bad people no.

However, if they were smart they would do 2 things:
1. Removed old guild comments from their wall.
2. Before trying to request an add with our guild, go to our forum (which is in our description for the guild), and read our rules.

So I guess we shouldn't even talk about the spies being created to join guides then. LOL ;-)

Yes, I have read complaints on ally wall regarding spy guild who do these things. They are pest to disrupt proceedings. I can not remember name of spy player who was discovered, but they were challenged what purpose they have. The guild master posted warning to look out for this player and report any activities.

Black lists are not forum friendly, sorry. It just turns into a massive page number gossip thread of people pissed off and slandering.

You also have to consider the issue of black listing a person who simply had phone troubles or problems in the real world preventing them from helping your guild before you kicked them.

It's just not the right thing to do here.

Well said GreenGuru!
Just give new guild members daily, weekly and monthly goals. Tell them three strikes and they get cut.

Since we have our own forum for our Guild, before I "kick" someone out. They had to ignore Posts, PM's, emails, in game wall, and in game guild chat. So they had to have more than "phone problems", more like no access to the whole internet for a week.

Well that's also a very real possibility. My main point wasn't to just you though, not all guilds use multiple methods of communication. So some could easily get black listed here by just that reason since this wouldn't just be your members that are kicked out listed in this but everyone who decides to post about members they black listed.

I have members, good members, in my guild that were removed from other guilds. Just because they did not fit in with the other guilds does not mean that they immediately made bad members of my guild. Different guilds have different priorities, some mesh with certain players, others do not. Some guilds may prioritize power over donations, other the opposite. Each guild is different, so we should be careful about judging people because they did not fit in with a particular guild.

Completely agree with flame fest.
But regarding the possible reason behind getting kicked from guild, although they certainly may be good people, being booted is a good indicator they weren't contributing.

A player might also be booted because the guild leader needed to vacate space for someone more powerful requesting to join.
That is cold and I was NEVER talking about that. I was only talking about players that know the donations amounts up front, and don't bother.

We have over ten guilds to be reported in the first 12 hours of wars starting. Little homework goes a long way, and I'm prepared to burn any witch who doesn't float like a duck in the water, so best make sure your books are cooked, people! SS everything and report any suspicious behaviour, period. Part of your job in the coming guild wars will be to insure that no cheaters wrest a spot in the rankings from legitimate guilds.

To the leaders and members of hacker guilds, do you honestly think your activity goes unnoticed? That the Internet will bury your actions deep enough to get away with it? Watch and see. You're not half as 7331 as you think.
