Let's say there's 10 minutes left before the event finishes. Can I still declare war and if so, will it last 1 hour?

you cant declare war unless there is more than 1 hr of time left in the event

Yes you can declare war, but the battle will only last until the event ends. We did that in Greenland thinking it would last a full hour. The contrary to crate events. When the event ends, as long as you keep the app open and dont close it, the event will continue. You can keep opening boxes so long as you have them. As soon as you close the app and re-open it, its gone. If loot items will still be available is still up for debate. But the WD battle will end right when the event ends, even if you declare war 2 minutes before the event ends.

We attempted to start one with about 50 minutes remaining and got the error that we were not allowed because there was not enough time left. with the timers screwed up right now who knows what it will do.
