Just wondering whats best overall for stats if spending around 1500 gold.

24 crates (8 3packs and a single crate) based on lowest and highest A/D unit
Worst attack boost 1125, best attack 18,325
Worst defence boost 1925, best attack 9900

1 LE set = 4 units based on lowest and highest A/D unit
Min attack boost - 1535, max = 3100
Min defence boost - 1574, max 2219

Is this just a no brainer or am i missing something? Whats the fascination with LE sets?

Generally speaking, the Titanium Crates will get you more bang for the buck

If you are an LLP, partuclarly below Level 50, the less units to gain the most A/D points may be more beneficial due to the limited number of units your level/allies will allow. In that case, despite the better buy of crates, you might want to seriously consider the LE Set.

Below is a loose analysis of the LE versus the crates. Ultimately, you need to determine which works best for your particular case.

LE Set Units versus Titanium 3-Crate Units

New LE Set has the following stats

Common Bonus 1535/1574 = 3109 total 1350 gold 2.3 points per bar
Uncommon Bonus 1485/2019 = 3504 total 1350 gold 2.6 points per bar
Rare Bonus (est.) 3099/2219 = 5328 total 1350 gold 3.95 points per bar

Titanium 3-Crates ( averages utilized)
Common average 72/96 per unit = 217/287 per set = 504 per set Total 175 gold 2.88 points per bar
8 x 3 crate set 1739/2296 = 4035 Total 1400 Gold (presumption of ALL commons)

8 x 3-crate seat at 60/30/10% split (com/uncom/rare)
Com/uncom/rare avg. 2520/1584/2196 avg = 6300 Total 1400 Gold 4.5 points per bar

Conclusion: Unless a Rare is received in the LE Set, the (8) 3-crate sets will exceed the Common and the Uncommon LE Set by 500-900 points. Odds are (8) 3-crate sets will exceed the LE set by 1000-3200 total points (including the rare at 1000 points)

Eight 3-crate set purchases should generally not be done all at one time. If all receive commons, buy another set as odds are there will be uncommons and rares in the 2nd set. If you get a set with 2 uncommons in it, or uncommon and a rare set, or a rare in the set – STOP Buying. Next 3-crate set has a greater odds of being all commons. Wait a while, like 1-2 hours or next day before buying another 3-crate set. Then same routine until you get 8 3-crate sets.

Sadly not true - statistically you have no more chance of receiving a rare if you buy 3 or 33 crates, it's still 10%.

Mathematically, I concur....

In practice, all I can say is it works for me.....

Regardless, crates are still a better buy

Unless the rare becomes 100% get the crates personally ;p makes more of ur army indestructible aswell, although u replace more units getting a full indestructible army is good!

I look at this differently more of a long term thing. Currently you could roughly buy 8 crates for the price of one LE set. I would rather have three +300 units guaranteed then eight 10% chances for one.

It just that I been screwed enough of % this or % that enough times to feel better knowing what I am getting for any money I would choose to spend.

But like somebody said it really all comes down to personal preference. :)

Plus crates give you MORE indestructible units getting you closer to an all gold army
