This is one of the new "Do Nots" for the Forum :

"Use gigantic images in your signature"

Does anyone ever do this?
Do you think it's retroactive?
What constitutes gigantic?
How is it going to be enforced?

Just wondering ....

Frequently. It's not generally ban-worthy unless someone keeps doing it, but huge signatures that break the frames make things really hard to read on mobile browsers.

EDIT: For what it's worth, most of the new things in there were items that we were already enforcing under the general "don't be a nuisance" category for a long time.

Surprisingly what I'm truly anxious is for you to assign someone with limited modifying powers to the forums...In all honestly you and whoever else Moderates the forum is hardly ever on during the weekend! I don't blame you. However, last time we were exposed to some serious homosexual nonsense and pornography!
I'm gonna hate myself but perhaps that Pirate Justice fruitcup could be a good choice.

I would think that even those with the monstrous signatures would find them obnoxious and annoying after a while. I know I do and was hoping the creativity that some feel they need to display could be limited to their avatars. The bloated ones are miserable on mobile browsers.

Yes, I agree, it was an affront to the dignity of our equine friends everywhere.

If it isn't stopped, canines might be next.

Can we PLEASE have a rule to limit only 2 USELESS Threads per day ? PJ is already on about 12 today - LoL

PJ - just so you know - I only give you shiet because you are my favorite turd!

P.S. PJ - that's a might big Signature you got there - isn't that somewhere in the "new" guidelines?

Great idea and this can be enforced via technical means too.

. . . For what it's worth, most of the new things in there were items that we were already enforcing under the general "don't be a nuisance" category for a long time.

Seriously - posting multiple non-sense threads DAILY is a real nuisance - and there is one on this thread already who fits the "nuisance" definition on an hourly basis. Can you limit daily threads on certain individuals ? Please? Start a poll - I bet you would be surprised. One or two people really drag down the value of your otherwise amazing community asset.

@McDoc, do you read every thread you see?

Actually no - and I should have learned by now not to even be tempted to read most threads when I see certain names as the one who starts them or the last one to comment (including this one). You guys really have no idea how helpful, fun, and close everyone was here on the forums before about October of 2012 - which by BIG coincidence is when a certain person joined & must post 50 threads a day - maybe 2 of which are actually intelligent and not broken English or some stupid attempt to rhyme.

REALLY - we don't give a crap - we come here to socialize and help others with real game related threads - it is like a GIANT TURD Alien (scene from the end of Weird Science) invaded the forums in October - Chet I think his name was - and has to stand in the middle of the room yelling at every passer-by in some sad pitiful attempt to gain everyone's attention. It really Is quite annoying - just about everyone else always agrees it is annoying - yet somehow this Insane person comes back every day as if this forum is his own personal toilet to sit on and drop threads - while mommy & daddy tell him : "It's ok son - that brown art you are smearing on the walls with your bare hands using the natural paint you drop in the toilet is beautiful art and smells so wonderful" - really? How do the rest of PUN not get completely embarrassed by this?

Uggggg - I guess I will have to finally succumb to the solution SO many of the other Senior Forum Vets have taken & finally put this guy on ignore - then maybe it won't smell so bad in here.

YET I keep wondering why CJ doesn't consider this guy an overall "General Nuisance" as outlined in the rules of the forum? ? ?

General Nuisance - General Insane - maybe there really IS a connection ?

I mean really? You have an ALL Gold Army - you can't lose - you own the game - you have to be bored? Don't you PUN guys have your own forum like every other top faction does ? What POSSIBLE reason could there be to roam the forums daily and create absolutely USELESS Threads ?

How's that for a coherent thought?

Going to FINALLY go put that guy on "Ignore" so I can maybe find some value on the Forums again and skip 70% of the BS crap just by block ONE Single Guy.

Maybe we should have a seperate area for humorous, non-instructional, nonsense posts. Although I started reading this forum for info & tips, a lot of these "other" threads give back some humor after seeing so many negative posts. Hmmmm...goofy posts vs. all of the whining, griping posts that show up so frequently and tend to bring people down. Hard choice.

I hear what people are saying about the forum changing so much over the last few months, but from what I see, at least some people are trying to balance the negative with the positive. It's running both ways and I give kudos to those trying to lighten it up!
