SirMarcus, killing goblins at the Crossroads for 5 energy each for a few boxes shouldn't hurt your progress in Codex honor too much. And since it hasn't even started yet for anyone that I can see, there may be only a 24-hour or so overlap.

I wish they'd give us some idea how the current LTE translates to Conquest Points. Are they given only for completing the regular quest? Or x points for completing regular and x or 2x additional for completing honor? Or 1 point for each stage completed? That would help me decide whether or not to spend gems completing the honor quest. If I knew I'd only get our guild more Conquest Points by completing it (meaning none for only getting 3/4 of the way through it), I'd for sure spend the gems.

if it is like MW, conquest points only accrue during the end battle. The PvP event awarded the top 50 factions, or guild in KA, a nice prize.

Anyway, if developers don't want to show this info, I will remove it. And I will be happy to tell them how they can reduce the size of images inside the game on 60-70%. I think we all sometimes wait when images (units, stuff) upload on our devices and we can see them.

Well of coarse they will help in the final battle, I don't think it's vague. All of the rewards tend to be strong units or items and since the final battle will be a PvP event among guilds, all rewards will increase your stats and may help you in the final battle.

Thanks for clarifying that for me.If it goes the way MW is (and the way CC appears to be headed very shortly) you will not see many out of sequence events. Every CoK cycle will have boss/box/pve/pvp/guild event. So you can begin to predict when they will happen by the cycle start/end date. The difference here is there are no fixed start/stop dates (ie calendar dates put into the game schedule) which MW does have.

And by the same logic it has to be a box event not that we havent figured that out already.

I was the top guy when I posted that with 25 lucky shamrocks from 70 opens, but I had to go to work. I'm not trying to take out the #1, just top 50, but I've had better luck getting the reward unit when I go hell for leather from the start.

You get units for opens rather than money or honor. 8 units gives you the prize. I had 7 of them after 15 opens, but haven't seen the last one after 70 opens.

Completely agree Winstrol. Hardly worth the angst for a top 50...unless it is the prime source of income for guilds, would like to see something like that level for a top 250 then more people would compete.

Then the stam and or energy cost to get the boxes refilling off that. I refreshed it and in a matter of 5 mins he has gotten 7 more clovers. You would have to have alot of money to be spending as much as he has. that is 2140 gems from just opening boxes early. Take it he's getting 3 boxes or so from each energy refill that would be another 713 gems and thats with just counting it as him getting a clover from every chest. top amount of gems a person can buy is 1500 for 99.99 x2 that will be 200 dollars and that would mean he's spent over 200 dollars because the chances of getting a clover every time is near to impossible. So im going to say close to 400 dollars worth of gems at minimum. Seeing that just flushed all hope of getting up there down there drain. I hardly get mad but now im really flustered

I am thinking that this is your first auction event?
Some of the senior wiser heads on this forum could regale you with stories of wildstallion, Gryffyn pendragon and the1nonly. The numbers spent here are chicken feed to the great rivalries of the past. If you think it is unfair you are correct, but it is also the way the game is and most people know how to play within its constructs. If your target is top 250 or even just getting to level 5 then that is ok. But some knowledge of the game's history will clarify the difference between hacking and ruthless competitiveness.

As to the guy who hasnt gotten a box yet I was same way right when the event started. Wasted an energy bar and stam bar twice and got nothing till this am (UK time). Stamina does no good early as fewer players have boxes (especially if you are a camper). Energy is a crap shoot. Still havent figured out if lower level pve drop rate compares to higher. Anyone know? Seems like drop rate is better higher up so go for the highest zone that has single hit kill for you (to avoid massive xp for me at least)?

Did anyone else notice that a lot of the top 50 players in this LTQ are royal knights (RK)? Is that guild mostly gem players? Is it there strategy to have a lot of guild members win this unit to get 20% more gold raiding so that they will have more gold to get all the guild bonuses?

Restless spirt is missing in action I assume this is a magic unit stats unknown. Maybe someone has the stats. Look for this one as it may not show in inventory. The big question is if you receive more than one how do you prove it or do they have a way to find out. I think I have 2 or 3 but none in inventory. The check mark is next to restless spirt on the collection list.

I will put this in the simplest terms. FUATH SPRITE = CHIMERA or Last arrow for CUPIDS BOW

I have no doubts I could have 20 shamrocks in an hr if I spent unlimited and was level 150+. Far faster to stay in the same area. I got 12 boxes in one 790 energy bar by just luck... In the top 250 with only 3 timer resets and sitting on boatloads of boxes so I am sure someone with cash and a little luck can rock this event.

Has anyone gotten a response from Gree on the restless spirit not showing up in inventory? I should have 2 of them. Also, I have a ticket to Gree outstanding since last Sunday, and another from yesterday. I am loathe to have THREE outstanding tickets with them. I was thinking of waiting until near the end of the event and giving them a grand total out missing restless spirits then.

The leader has a little more than 300 shmrocks. so just to make a guess he has probably got a unit 1/3 of the time. so pretend he has opened roughly 400 boxes reseting the timer everytime. that would be 16,000 gems. This is around $1100 USD... And thats just to open the boxes! who knows how many energy refills they have used! That is almost a full 2 weeks pay for me! I guess i didnt realize i was trying to compete with Mark Zuckerberg and Bill Gates!

I was a free player several months and just started using excessive gems about two weeks ago. This is the first box event i have used gems, which brings me to my question for experienced Gem Users: is it cheaper in the end to use gems to reset & open, or reset with Gems & open with gold? I've seem to think opening with gold uses more gems because of the 'sorry better luck next time' screens.

So it looks like only 2 people have gotten the Fuath Sprite? Yikes! I mean, there are tough odds but considering how many hundreds of boxes a lot of people have opened, that's insane. And for a puny 38/47 unit no less! Sounds like a coder added an extra two zeros to the 1:__ odds by mistake or something. I could understand the final unit being exceptionally difficult, but a 38/47? Really?

5 Bauchan Raiders (23/30 infantry)
9 Destructive Cyclops (36/27 infantry)
0 Fuath Sprite (39/47 magic)
7*Restless Spirit (68/50 magic) *Note: I kept count. Like everyone, these are missing from my inventory.
1 Forest Siren (91/73 magic)
1 Changeling (93/125 infantry)
3 Loch Haunter (152/125 beast)
0 Haunting Banshee (165/201 magic)

and 14 shamrocks. Going to continue using the gold option. Opened 5 with gem option and 3 of those were yet more cyclops so no more of that. Not going to waster another 100 gems on it. Now, if I got the stupid Fuath Sprite, then I might spend gems in hopes of getting the Banshee and therefore the Celtic Blademaster, but otherwise, gold is it for me. :)

Agreed that this box event has been nothing but boring. Loads of Bauchan Raiders and (missing) Restless Spirits, and precious little else (just for the record, I also have 3 Changelings, 1 Forest Siren and a couple of Destructive Cyclops). I think the old advice for box events still holds true: Unless you are competing in the auction element for Top 1, Top 50 (not so sure about Top 250), then stick to gold opens. There's better places to spend your gems.
It would help if they at least made all the units stronger than dragons (like the 5, 10, 15 ... units in the box event itself).

The Top 250 prize for this event is SIX TIMES as strong. It would be cool if they'd raise the stats of old Top 250, Top 50, and LTE 100% completion units that are nothing to compared to the current ones, but it would probably be too much work for them to do, especially with them presumably having to do quite a lot for the upcoming guild war.

UPDATE: I refresh frequently & the changeling wasn't there, hence this post. Then, I tried closing all running apps & rebooted my iPad. Now, the changeling IS THERE. Whew! I still do not see the restless sprit, just the restless spectre. I have 30 Loch Haunters, 65 Bauchan raiders and it seemed like I had more of the restless spirits, so we'll see when it's fixed.

I would have liked to have at least gotten the Viridian Dragon myself but damn busted phone ruined this event for me while I was waiting for my account to be transferred. Strange that the St. Patty's event would end like 5 days before St. Patty's :confused:
