The Raid on Egypt will start on FRIDAY 3/8/13 at 11 AM Pacific Standard Time, and end on MONDAY 3/11/13 at Noon Pacific Standard Time.

We'll be updating this in the game asap, but wanted to let everyone know here as well.

Thank you for the heads up. Off topic but is their a set time for how long a specific set of crates are out for or is it more on a whim when to release new crates? I've been itching to get some new crates. The recovered ones have been out for two weeks it seems.

But, CJ is smart enough to know, that a 72 hour event that runs over a daylight savings time change FORWARD, requires a 60 minute cushion.

Hence, this great treasure of Gree's has given us the 72 hour event we sought.

CJ, please clarify ... the event actually ends 3/11 at Noon Pacific DAYLIGHT time, is that correct, since daylight savings time takes place mid-event?

ya, I'd also like to know that. I've been playing for about 2-3 weeks, have yet to spend money on gold(even with 20% off, it is still too steep for me) but if there was a 40% off gold sale, I would consider buying some.

I started a thread several days ago asking BOTH questions, but it wasn't answered. My concern is that they are using a timer, not a clock, & didn't account for the lost hour, so the event end could be based on a fictional NOON Pacific STANDARD Time that doesn't exist for that date! That final battle is often the deciding battle for prize tiers, so knowing when it ends is critical.

CJ - what time GMT does the event end (since GMT remains unchanged by DST)? Is it 7:00 PM GMT, or 8:00 PM GMT?

They do have issues however with the change of DST to PST etc. If that's the case you would think it's by the clock. Should be fun to see what happens on the change.

Points still count as the big thing. "Most fights won" would be a huge tie for first since each battle takes an hour and there are only so many hours in the event.

That is understandable.

And I know you and some of the other players were/are concerned with the DST shift. That was brought up a while ago internally, and the engineers have been canvassing the WD system for any places that might cause a problem (and looking at what we can do to avoid those). We've been working on coming up with a way to mitigate the "normal" non-WD annoying stuff that happens, but some of the ideas floated so far may not be feasible for this time around. I'll toss out an update if there is news on that front one way or another.

Thank you. It's probably unrelated, but most of my buildings were 3 hours late being ready for collection today, but not my AC. I have my oil rigs, nanos and many others on the same schedule as my AC, but only the AC was ready at the scheduled time today. The others were 3 to 3.5 hrs late. I'm bringing it up here just in case it's related to attempts to prep the system for DST.

Still a lot of confusion on when Egypt ends. Noon PST, Noon PDST or much later since the game is showing 8 hours 27 mins left... which is much much later then NOON Pacific time any way you slice it. Can we get a confirmed end time??

I believe the timer issue is because of the servers going down for many hours Saturday night for DST start. Did Gree add those hours back in or do the countdown timers get paused during that time? My android actually has the event ending an hour earlier than my Ipad as well. Noon PST is my hope here not adding on to the end messing with the schedule of my people.

well many things ended 1 hour earlier than others, on my ipad it ended 1hr earlier than on my android. In forum chat I thought what are they babbling about hitting etc, cause the war was over but no, they where still at war while I was not. Pretty big messup. Now next event during big holiday....c'mon. Fix issues with previous battles first please.
