View Full Version : Just how hard is it to remove old LTQ units from the maps?

This is getting plain ridiculous and I am certain I am not the only person experiencing this issue.
Could not continue the previous bard quest beyond a certain point due to too many old LTQ units remaining in the maps after the quest they related to expired which causes the iPad to crash when trying to access those maps.
Current event cannot even start it due to the same issue. Too many REDUNDANT units in the maps.
Dev's seem to be able to remove items from maps easily given the frequency it occurs in MQ, so why can they not do the same in KA BEFORE releasing the next quest.

Agree Q Raider. I sent ticket a while ago about an issue I had with the abbad map units all over the place. They apparently fixed it...but now I have a stack of red energy bars running around with know owner...they just keep coming back after I kill them?

I am constantly clearing maps to help avoid the issue (when I can spare the energy). I leave massive energy mobs like sea terror but clear as much of the rest as I can. This new LTQ seems to have mobs common to the maps?

After about ten attempts I managed to get in and knock over the Redundant unit's on the map and start the quest.
Credit where it is due as they appear to have come up with a solution for this quest, you just have to remember to stay in the map you are in until the next quest generates as one of the parts is knocking over the unit you killed to complete the previous quest again, and it has not respawned.
I have that problem on one map too Proprioc3ption, might actually be the same map.

Totally agree. Once again I am being kicked out of a map because there is no room in it for me.

Do you turn the weather off? Not sure if that helps but a suggestion for less crap on the map.

Lol yeah I noticed this too while moving along this new LTQ. I guess you can give them credit for trying but you have to admit it's a pretty funny ghetto rig method of fixing the problem haha

It does help Marebear and has already been done along with the music and the sound FX.
There is also a marked difference between what you see on the maps between an ipad1 game and a game on another device. The ipad1 maps have little or no additional things on them (trees etc).

In A Brutish Codex it looks like you clear the last unit as part of the next step of the quest but unfortunately, that is not the case, at least in my game. I've watched them respawn. :(
My Temple of Abaad us so FUBAR I just don't go there unless they unfortunately include in it another event. Tons of invisible enemies with health bars with teeny tiny little dents taken out of them. Even though I cleaned out about half of what was there, it's not worth wasting a whole refill's worth of my energy to clear the rest out. And there are now a LOT of maps with event leftovers that take more than a whole energy refill. The ones I can take out with a few hits, I try to remember to clear a few of those out every time I'm farming between events. But it sucks to waste energy for nothing (or for a tiny bit of gold).
The worst is the ones that have drops - they fool you into thinking they are real map enemies if you don't happen to know which ones are real ones. Then you kill it hoping for equipment and you get Azriella's Blood or whatever instead.
And now in Brutish Codex is making the maps more difficult to farm for the usual LTE reasons, but actually doubly so, because they are using units that look exactly like real units on the map.

I know it shouldn't come down to this, and gree should fix the problem, but one way to get rid of the old spawns is to transfer your game to a different device, and then transfer back. If you don't have a friend with an iPad, iPhone etc, that you could use for a few minutes, try going to best buy, or your local electronics store and use one of their iPads that are on display. My local best buy has them already on their wireless, so you could try that also.

My main problem is with the *high HP* mobs at the end of the LTQs. They're so massively huge that you will never have the time and energy to hit them 50 times. They'll persist forever, and they really need to go since some of them are the largest size with the most animations.
Some of the smaller stuff I kill off for the larger-than-average cash, and I'm happy that it doesn't come back anymore after the event. 'cause my Temple of Abaad was utterly unplayable too. I had to abandon that LTQ because my crash rate entering the area was 100% until they invised the monsters there.

I had the same problem with the Temple of Abaad where the original LTQ took place all on that one map. I was locked out of that map from that LTQ until maybe a week ago. What I usually do now is after finishing a step of the LTQ, and the next step pops up with the "limited" arrow que, is go back and kill one more mob to get them to stop spawning. With the addition of "heroic" mode and this last LTQ using mirrored mobs that look like mobs indigenous to the map, this has become a little more tricky and more costly. I try to level slow so having to kill one more of everything bites. I agree that mobs from the previous LTQ should be wiped out at the start of the next.
