With the release of the new respect bought items what do people think with regards to saving up respect points and buying the more expensive items or get more say RPG's, Exelero, etc. If you going to buy the more expensive respect items what would be the better ones to get? I like the look of the battle fatigues for only 2000. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Starting last summer, I robbed meat factories/clothing stores/warehouses/lofts nonstop. I knew it would pay off sooner or later. I now have 250k RP :D.

Just need to level up to get the crazy ones.

I'm saving RP for vehicles, because the cash alternative vehicles are just too expensive. The cash items in other categories are much more reasonable.

Corbaman, what about explosives? There aren't any cash options at all.

I just stack the consumables. They don't get used up as fast as people think.

Maybe after I have 400 RP vehicles I'll reconsider.

The best you can do is stack for 18/30, at a combined cost of 389k a pop. Total cost for 500 of each being $195m. If you spend that 195 mil on cash items in other categories instead of respect, you free the RP for explosive. And if anyone decided they want to take the consumables from you, they can absolutely decimate you. Unless you're sitting on a lot of huge income buildings that you don't bother collecting I can't see how that's even a remotely good idea.

Whereas you have a 45/45 for 18k RP, 48/84 for 22k RP and 100/40 for 28k RP, and you get to keep 'em.

Exactly. It takes me about a week to farm 28k RP, so if I'm buying one item a week, it takes me the next 10 years to farm 500 items.

Or I could spend some cash and get excellent stats in a few days time.

Good point. Don't you think the explosives are very expensive on RP though. For example 28K rp to get 1 explosive granted has good stats but you could buy 4 of those knives that are 6750 rp with 61/38. Or are non consumable explosives better in the long run.

Yes, I won't be buying RP explosives, I'll be buying gold explosives.

However, for vehicles the cash option is better end-game than the RP item, and for the gun they are comparable.
So best long-term would be 500x$6.8m for gun, 500x 27.5m for vehicle.

RP for Melee, Armor and explosive.

However, if you want cash items in these categories to speed up the process, your choices are:
$3.3m 42/27 vs. 6750RP 61/38 (melee)
$4.4m 33/90 vs. 10k RP 55/126 (armor)
$325k 30/0 + 150k 0/25 (consumables) vs. 13k RP 45/45 (or some combination of 22k RP 48/84 and 28k RP 100/40).

Clearly the big issue here is how often you have to replace the consumables, as you are essentially renting them, not buying them. Bearing in mind that long-term everyone ends up in the shark tank then you've gotta assume you can't hold onto then for too long (I'm assuming no camper in their right mind is buying consumable attack explosives, and realistically wouldn't want the xp from winning in attacks against them, so the defensive is probably a waste as well). The 45/45 RP explosive is better than your stacked consumable, and at 13k RP is not significantly more than the other categories. That leaves you with a better option at a reasonable price, and an item/combo that is so much better as to be out of comparison - but at a much higher price.

Best bet long term (w/o gold) is clearly to farm TLC to make up the bulk of your explosive stats, then to boost with RP items over time.
