Trophy Case idea

How about a trophy case?
When this current (or is it over) LTQ came out, my eyes widened and an evil smile crawled over my face when i saw "blah blah blah CHAMPIONS RING blah blah blah"... I was thinking I was getting a cool armor upgrade. I still got an armor upgrade, but not with the ring. I looked for the ring everywhere...and there they both were in the "loot" tab. It was like being 10 and expecting to get the newest Xbox console for Christmas, but finding freaking Lincoln Logs under the wrapper. A quick nerd rage later and I thought...TROPHY CASE!
The idea is, whenever you beat an event, you get something for the trophy case, the rings in this instance. The trophies should have a description on what you received them for and the date you acquired it. Something like "Champions Ring - completed the blah blah Event - 02/27/2013". Also, some trophies could come with a small boost. Everyone goes for the units, so the trophy case would be more for bragging rights and self satisfaction. But if they had a small boost, like +1 attack skill, +10 energy, raids give 1 extra honor, this would make them more collectible and those small boosts will add up over time.
As for what kinds of things would be in the trophy case tab? Possibilities are endless. Kill a dragon...dragon scale. Kill an ogre...ogre's head / weapon. PvP event...a crest of some sort. Cleared a normal and a heroic LTQ looking for an awesome armor upgrade ...I dunno'... maybe a ring.

I like this idea, it gives meaning to some of the loot. Other things the trophy case could display could be based on stats/experience: latest tournament round finished, highest-level building, LTQ events completed, time in game? Some of these could have honor points attached.

My Champion's Ring was a size small, so I'd like to exchange it for a new one.


Seriously though I think this is a great idea, Altergray, but they seem to really be focusing on churning out the LTEs right now. The delighted hum of players after the last one, coupled with how much money they must've made, surely flipped a toggle switch of understanding in the collective Gree subconscious.

A trophy case will likely take low priority at this point, but it's an awesome idea just the same, and I will want one when it does eventually appear on the scene.

Lincoln Log xboxes are a poor substitute for the real thing... ;)
