As a CC and MW player I was all excited about the potential bonuses I was gonna get when the guilds started. I could see my stats being 25% better as well as my income and so on.
But we all know by now that unfortunately that's not gonna be the case ( not yet anyway ). Now I'm all about keeping those 3 games (slighly) different with their pros and cons so I made peace with the fact I won't be 25% stronger (for now). However what actually really annoy me is the fact we don't really have any freedom while upgrading , It does remind me of some linear rpg where you gotta collect loads of different items before being able to go somewhere else. In that precise case let's get 5 expensive and useless upgrades so we can recruit more people. How long till most guild members are fed up of that and realize (if not already) that the money they are donating (unlike MW AND CC) is not actually making them stronger.
So what do you think the plan is? Are they working on a update as we speak or is that the way they wanted it to be ?

Take it easy mate. In MW they introduced the interesting (aka 'makes you stronger') bonus in phase 2.
Also as an active MW player I am happy the guild thing here seems to be more laid back. Neither me nor my family could handle event like BfB or BfG every weekend.

It is set up in a more linear fashion but I could not have been happier when I saw the upgrade speed and cost reductions in the lower tiers. The only thing that would have made it better would to have a single box bonus available after 15 upgrades that allowed for 2 building upgrades at once. Then perhapse one at 20 offering 4 energy regen per minute instead of 3. Maybe more single choice boxes at 25, 30 and 35.
a faster energy refill, how could you not think that makes you stronger?

Oh man I wanted that unit that allowed 2 buildings to upgrade at once when it came out a little while ago soooo bad! I wish there was a way I could have competed to get it but I can't spend the money those 50 people did to get that. Seeing that possibility was such a tease though..

I sort of get what your saying about getting a number of upgrades before you can get to the next level (a task that can be daunting to say the least for some of us Exception: the1andonly and other groups that have been here for awhile...FK, DW, RK ect...) However i disagree with your argument. You are getting stronger by earning the upgrades as you go. You want to see your att/def go up after you purchase an upgrade. It just does not work the way you want it to.
When you upgrade your building speed bonus you are able to reduce the amount of time between upgrades (obviously) in other words a building you would normally take 48 hours is now only 38 hours. Looking down the road you could possibly save a months worth of hours. Again getting stronger just not directly.
When you buy the cost upgarde for your buildings you are able to lower you cost to upgrade your buildings therefor saving gold for other things like units for battle. Again not what your looking for however better units = better stats
Increasing your guild members has its own advantage as well. for instance instead of 20 people contributing to the pot. 30 people are contributing... again not the direct impact your looking for but this helps everyone in the guild by spreading out the cost and again giving you more gold for your units.
This is a perception problem while you dont see your att go from 100k to 125k buy earning the upgrades this is not a straight line game. You dont finish one quest which leads you to another quest and so forth. Since you have played MW and CC you should understand the format of the game (relatively). This is a game of stratagy and patience. If your looking for instant gratification your playing the wrong game. I think you might be better served with a different approach. work on upgrading you unit buildings until you unlock the unit you want then upgrade buildings like the blacksmith.
Good luck whatever you decide and have fun playing and making friends!!!!

Lol, I had dreams of being able to upgrade 2 buildings at once when I slept at night. Yes, that unit would have been awesome but I was in the same boat as you.

Thanks for replying guys.
@seven I agree that will probably come too but why going backward when they went all out for CC
@jixx 20 more upgrades till I get there...
@skyraiders As I did mention before It is the linear and limited path of the upgrades which annoys me the most not the upgrades themself even though they do not fit my play style at all. But I guess there will always be two kind of players in those games.

I like boss events and there's a nice health regain bonus but like Lisa says its linear so you can't get this for a bit!

I don't think gree has ever really understood tech trees since literally everything in this game is linear so it's not really surprising to me

your correct that earning the upgrades are linear but after you earn those upgrades. i was really tryin to imply you are free to use these upgrades as you see fit. Since your trying to get stronger focus on you unit buildings and your army upgrades (smithy)
You are correct different stroke for different folks.

CC doesn't have boost buildings which is probably why they got the syndicate weapons / armor / etc boosts upgrades right away. I'm sure the guilds will get them too eventually.
