With all of the new Gold Units showing up I wonder if anyone has done an analysis to determine what units are giving the most total points per gold?

Seemed the crates were the best value out there, wondering if they still are.. some of these new units look like decent deals

My wife needed a little gold for some units as she was lagging behind in strength. I spent for 240 gold. She calculated it was better to get 4 of the centurian humvees. They paid out best in at/def versus a lower priced larger at/def gold unit.

The Fighting Irish unit was an LE from months ago. It had 92A/65D all for 50 gold. One of the best deals I've seen.

Crates, crates & more crates... the total calculated A/D for the gold cannot be beat... unless of course the buy 2 get super stat LE units are in play. The stats on either are just getting higher all the time so crates imo are the best investment day in and day out.

crates for sure untill you get to the point those units are your weakest link

I am told that you can earn skill points by completing missions with Energy (blue bar).
How is this done? I have completed missions, including the same mission for the maximum 5 times, and never once granted a skill point for it.

You need to complete every possible interaction in whatever mission map you are in to count as 1.
Do that 5 times and you earn a skill point.

Dam I need that unit ? Forget buildings bring that unit back. How did you get that if I may ask
