Command Center Destruction?

Is it even possible to destroy the command center? Each hit yields damage, but I don't see any sort of health bar or otherwise.

Command center has unlimited health

They're there so your faction can earn points when the other one has players with stats higher than yours.

I thought i had read somewhere that the command center could be taken out.

Thought the goal was: take out wall, get 2x points on attacks. Take out command center, get 3x points. (Roughly).
