My attack - as displayed on the battle screen - is jumping from 38k to 58k, my profile attack being 48k. Shouln't my real attack be higher than my profile as it currently doesn't factor for various bonuses. Is this intended behaviour? If so, whats the point of gathering intel for faction members? With those massive gaps its like blind attacking anyways.

Can anyone please shed some light on this?

Ditto. With attack of 24K, mine has jumped between 15K to 30K....

My attack is in the 80K range, according to the in game profile page. However, 92.5% of the time, my actual attack score is lower than that. I recorded the results from hundreds of attacks, and the average attack score was 9500 points lower than the profile attack score, meaning instead of a boost, I got an 11% penalty (on average).

Sent a ticket into GREE 23 days ago -- it is still awaiting assignment to someone.

Lots of things broken with this game, especially the ingame support system.

always have a buffer of 20k so that whatever happens you will still win the fight

Agreed! The randomiser element has too much variance and it should not go below the raw attack/defense scores. Algorithm needs to be tweaked so that the variance is maybe a tad smaller and that it uses the raw attack/defense scores if the randomiser has chosen a lower figure. Should be a simple IF, ELSE statement CJ to fix it so that at least it uses the raw attack/defense figures if the randomiser score is lower :)

Remember there is also the "Strong Against" factor in play, which I seem to remember meant that their Strong Against units each had "a chance" to reduce the opponents Attack/Defence by 25%.

Yes, they definitely tweaked the algorithim. I think it is good. I don't like seeing the skull and crossbones, try not to attack folks greater than half my attack. If in doubt - sit it out.

Can someone explain what the point of the 'Randomiser' is?

If all you see are naked stats in PvP then doesnt that make it random enough. But perhaps there is a need.

But what then is the point in WD when you dont see anything at all. You build a boost and you dont get it? Why is that?

Meh, I like it. It adds a little extra risk to the game.

There has always been the random factor in the game. That's why you could lose to people with 20K less defence than you had attack, but also win half the time.

Been well known since the game came out that winning is not gauranteed against people with within 75% of your attack strength in defence. Even more so after boost effects made it even more unpredictable.

I have 38k attack and tried attacking a guy with 32k defense. Easy win, right? A 6,000 attack/defense gap. I attacked him three times and lost them all! When I was attacking, it showed by attack below 30,000 every time. (Also, this guy had no kind of bonuses).
