You can't blame GREE for choosing when to discount. This is smart, and now you know to wait until the event before buying gold for the event. You don't need to jump out of the gates to win the war. Hard lesson learned, but this isn't their fault. If you are selling the goods, you have every right to charge a lot or nothing, because its their goods. They are giving 50 gold to loyal players for free, I don't see anyone complaining about that.

Only problem with that is no one has got it. Also how much does 50 gold buy in this event?

I wouldn't spend it on this event, but it would get you 8 attacks not time bound. Honestly, it is more a ploy that they do at casinos. Give you a taste of what it feels like to have the power to reset health an attack quickly. They really just want you to buy more. Give money to everybody, lose nothing you don't already have, gain more new addicts. It's foolproof, and the proof is in the fools.
