What's made it easier is the LTQs that I was able to complete and my Breeding Den upgrade along the way. I'm still BD7 on my way to BD8 in 25hrs. I'm currently level 114 with 108k A/D with a 9k IPH. Without the help of the forum members here, especially the heavy spenders, I wouldn't have gotten as far as I have. Thanks for letting me share.

Read you guys and tried to figure out what an LTQ was or PvP etc etc. It sounded like "Gem players" were all cheats, so I played for free Until I noticed that I could not compete for some prizes without more "health". This LTQ for the Cupids Bow and the Valentine warrior opened my eyes even more. Now I understand, there is an arms race and I love to race. From now on, I will spend.

I have been raiding and doing all the Quests. Quests always send me up several levels, even the little monster quests have sent me up levels. This last Quest sent me up 10 levels by doing the full H mode. I was below Ratma and Gambit a few days ago. I dont know how people stay at one level. Maybe I play more than others, probably play 8-10 hours a day while I am playing the international Stock Markets. If you are doing the international markets it 24 hours a day. I also Have two boats here in Bermuda and live on the ocean, so believe me KA is not my life.
. I do not camp. I have not bought gold mines, or money buildings except to bank the gold from raiding. How much do I spend? A lot less than Prprioc3ption, no offense.

You don't need to spend much if you only spend when there is a multiplier effect for what you spend, like this last LTQ. Openning boxes early to get arrows and the Bow paid off. Waiting and using a rusty knife did not pay. Getting the Boss prize pays off everytime. It seems to be easier if you play fast and early. It also seems that players in Australia get better results,Lol.

The1nOnly told me that the Poetic Minstrel was not worth the cost...but he did it and then Winstol did it. So KA is an arms race started by the senior players.

I suspect with the Guilds thing coming up, the arms race in KA is going to get hotter. I am all for it.

Background: I've been around the forums since way before MW and KA when only CC was around. I don't think I've ever really posted anything other than my invite codes. I still play CC, dumped MW (kept losing Aircraft Carriers every ... single ... fight) but when KA came out, I found my niche. Always liked the fantasy RPG type games. I would say I am a low to moderate Gem spender. I always end up in the top 250 of the box events and finish level 30 of the boss events. I am 9/10 of the current box event, but decided to boycott the LTQ associated with it due to the amount of levels it will cause me to jump. I will buy units if I like the way they look or the stats are worth the gems, but I tend to keep my gems ready for events. If anyone sends me a invite, you will be accepted....however...I have had a waiting list of 50 since a few days after the game started, but as soon as I hit the magic level 100 I'll go ahead and bring them all in.
I would like to say thanks to all the people who post here when the new events hit, it's cool to actually see the units / stats that we will end up with if we make it through.

...on a side note...why is the "Old Witch" from the last LTQ an Infantry unit?...that's just silly.

Currently level 158, 165k Attack / 152k Defense FREE player. Upgraded my Breeding Den to level 10 a few weeks back, thus I only currently have ~400 dragons and 429 allies. Figure I will be well over 200k Attack after maxing out my Dragon Army and allies.

I have been playing Kingdom age for 295 days, I had been a heavy gem spender with both Modern Warefare and Crime City but they didn't hold my interest, I enjoy Kingdom age but wanted to see how far I could make it as a free player, looking forward to the Guild addition at which point I plan to decide how much to invest.

Welcome to the forums Moz.

The TL;DR version of the below info is basically there are tiers of purchases. Reach that tier, and support will credit bonus gems on top of your original purchase (through a support ticket of course).



We have a special program for people who want to purchase larger gold quantities with a steep bonus. Apple won't sell larger packages, but we are willing to increase bonuses for players if they meet the following amounts within a calender month:

$500 in a month = 100% bonus
$1,000 in a month = 200% bonus
$2,000 in a month = 300% bonus
$5,000 in a month = 300% bonus plus one crate item of your choice
$10,000 in a month = 300% bonus plus one event item that you missed out on. You must have received the previous item in the tier for that to happen. (i.e. if you want the 10th item you'd need to have acquired the 9th already.)

Only one bonus can be obtained per month, and it can only be obtained once per month. You have to buy $100 packages to get to your bonus amount, as we calculate the bonus gold based on the assumption that you're already receiving the 50% bonus from buying $100 packages. Purchases of Vaults on Sale will be counted as $100 purchases. So if you purchase $750 in a month, you will only get the 100% bonus applied to $500 of that. If you purchase $4,000 in a month you will get the 300% bonus applied to $2,000 of that.

The exact amounts of gold/gems that we add for the tier above are as follows:

$500 - 2500
$1000 - 15000
$2000 - 50000
$5000 - 125000
$10000 - 250000

At the moment, bonuses for multiple characters/accounts are considered separately. We start tracking for the program in the month that a request or inquiry about the program is first sent to support.

These restrictions are in place for record-keeping purposes and we may loosen them at a later date.
We now have a special Bonus Program for bulk amounts of Vaults of Cash (referred to as Mountain of Gold in Kingdom Age/Monster Quest) Please note: We can only provide bonuses for the same currency. For example, we cannot provide a gold bonus for cash purchases nor can we provide a cash bonus for gold purchases.

Like the Gold/Gem bonus, only one bonus can be obtained per month, and it can only be obtained once per month. You have to buy $100 packages to get to your bonus amount. Similar to the Gold/Gem program as we calculate the bonus cash (referred to as gold in Kingdom Age/Monster Quest) based on the standard price of cash for your account. Purchases of Vaults on Sale will be counted as $100 purchases.

Bonuses for multiple characters/accounts are considered separately and cannot be combined. We cannot provide gold bonuses for cash purchases nor can we provide cash for gold purchases. Yes, I have been lurking, well most of the time anyway. My in game name is also Geiteke, started playing KA about 9 months ago, it's the only game I play. I am a light gem spender, I buy gems now and then, use them mainly to reach boss 30, think the boss events are the most rewarding for me, at least for now (but last LTQ's brought some doubt)... So no hurry to level up, well, better a king among beggars than a beggar among kings ROFL! Big thanks to all the guys that post on the forum, without the forum I probably would have reached Whale Zone long ago, without ever knowing what hit me :-).

CC/MW vet, but relatively new to KA, started in January and fairly heavy player but only Level 55 so amazed at L130+ in same period of time. Frequent forum reader, occasional poster. Like to try to give advice and love the LTQ/event threads, which really help me plan how much to spend or how far I can get with my limited HS.

Light gem spender, use them for extra Boss and LTQ prizes. Have put most skill points into Hero Strength thanks to the advice on here but a long way from 200+. Currently concentrating on getting BD10 (5-6 in progress) to breed my Dragon army then will level like a mofo to get my HS up for LTQs.

Good to see so many fellow Aussies playing KA, and playing it well too. Looking forward to seeing you guys in the HLs and maybe even being worthy enough to join your guilds.

Ive come to learn about guilds. Gabe invited Nikki and myself to join the FUN guild, we are interested of course, but we aren't sure about what will be required from us.
We're not the strongest at our level but we are both in the top 1% or better.
Niether one of us are the kind of player that people hate or fear, we raid a lot but I seldom take too much or if I do I leave my number to allow the option to ally.
I see some friends on this thread, all will vouch for me i'm sure.
We just need more info to make a decision, and if you guys can help us we will both be forever grateful.

Ok. If you spend $10,000 here's the breakdown.

1. You get all the normal Gems from said purchase. 10,000/100 = 100 Mountains x 1,500 Gems = 150,000 Gems

2. You get the bonus Gem Spender Appreciation : 250,000 Gems

3. Grand total : 400,000 Gems

4. I'm fairly certain that you could swing that Fire BroodMother...or just say you won't invest the money. :p I think they'll see things your way.

Hello spenders. My in game name is Buzz, lv. 122. My stats are 470/480k with 14k iph. I'm what you might call a free gem user through tapjoy. Besides the ltq units I can get, I'd attribute my stats to the % units our guild has won.

Well at first I was using gems on LTQ and boss fights. I've used a few on bldg upgrades and misc stuff here and there. What should I be concentrating on for a high spender? I would say I've spent in the low 4 digits already and I just started playing since the very end of drwaven mines I think. Not very long. I bumped up my lvls figuring it would help with the LTQ. Guess I was way wrong about that idea. Bummer!

Just do the LTQs. If you finish each, you gain on average 50k to your stats. Don't try to gain levels outside of doing the LTQs. There's lots of players well over 1M in your level range. Some much more than that.

Agree, spend on LTQ's, boss, and box in that order. LTQ's are best bang for buck.

The main reason I haven't posted is because I made a typing mistake in my username and never found a way to fix it.

I've posted a time or two in the past and have heard of many of you. ;)
I was a committed free player up until 2 wars ago when I realized that I can't compete free. I leveled way to fast and the 'campers' mentality that some are able to produce mega strong kingdoms by restricting leveling isn't my way.
I came to the crossroads and considered leaving the game.
I decided that I'd buy a mountain and play with that. As you that spend know, that obsession changed to this war buying 4 mountains and a bag (or whatever that mid-level one is 650#). This has also been driven by sense of obligation to my guild.
For whatever that equates to the whale's world of spending, that's where I'm at. I've concluded, that if I'm going to play this game and not be destroyed, I have to spend, just that simple.
My stats, noted in the forum's before, as of early February were 43/45, I've been able to get them to 320/302 without gems. Now, with the gems starting, I'll see where I can push this to.
